“And this is the will of Him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those He has given me, but raise them up at the last day.” ~ Jesus Christ

“Christ will not lose any God has given Him as long as they choose to not be lost.” ~ Phoneman

One of the above statements is God’s Word while the other is heresy. You decide.
Maybe both statements are true? God's Word is always true under any circumstances. What man says may or may not be true. It must be tested by the Word.

If God's will is always done, then maybe we could say the second statement given is always false. But God's will is not always done (my opinion . . .)

Why is the passage translated "licentious" or "license to"? I'm not a fan of new translations, but where they get it right, I acknowledge it.
where they get it right?
If they got it right, they would translate the greek defenition.

You like it because it fits your faulty belief system. Not because its right.

again, your pride and refusal to see what is written.

I'm happy to discuss this, but first, please explain how the "many" of Matthew 24:12 who wind up lost because their "agape" turned cold and dead can be sinners when "agape" is only demonstrated by happily keeping God's commandments (1 John 5:3 KJV) yet the wicked can't keep God's commandments even if they wanted to (Romans 8:7 KJV).
you wont answer it. You have been asked the same so many times

Matt 24 is about the tribulation period. It says the love of many, It does not say they are saved people. It says the love of the world (the caring of others) will grow cold. We see this today. Just look at the news. People are self righteous, self focused. and do not care about anyone, People are throwing their babies in the trash because they do not want give up their lives for their own flesh and blood.

Its a sign of the time, not proof we can lose salvation.

You want to be under law. good luck my friend. I feel sorry for you

Man’s word is never correct when it contradicts God’s Word. Be at peace and rejoice in full-fledged confidence knowing Jesus will never lose any whom God has given Him.

2 Corinthians 3:14-16
14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.

15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.

16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.

2 Corinthians 3:13-15~ We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to keep the Israelites
from gazing at the end of what was fading away. But their minds were closed. For to this day the same veil remains at the reading
of the old covenant. It has not been lifted, because only in Christ can it be removed. And even to this day when Moses is read, a veil
covers their hearts. But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.

Exactly! Time and again we see legalists and self-salvationists express themselves in a manner completely void of hope and love. That’s not faith, it’s self righteousness.
Titus 1:2
in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began,

Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

1 John 5:13
These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

I am amazed at those who want to spread a lack of hope to Gods people. and then claim they have true living faith

The Lord Jesus didn't come to place people under Moses Law.
The Ten Commandments ain't "the Mosaic Law" which was nailed to the Cross and to which none are obligated.

The Ten Commandments are the "Moral Law" aka "Law of God" which have existed from the beginning and shall "stand fast forever and ever" because while it's OK to ignore Passover, it's NOT OK to ignore "Thou shalt have no other gods before Me."

See the difference between the Moral Law and the Mosaic Law? The one began at Sinai and ended at the Cross; the other existed since the beginning and will "stand fast forever and ever".

Of Christ, Who is the substance, and Who was not yet come when all those shadows were given to Israel.
So, you finally admit the Feast Day "sabbaths" were "shadows of things to come" in the future which pointed to the future coming Christ as our Lamb of God, while the weekly Sabbath was created as a memorial to our Creator Christ - not a shadow of anything - which He made way back in the past before sin entered the world when there was no spiritual darkness and all was light?

Good, you're making progress.

So, are you admitting the "Critical Greek" text upon which all the new modern NT translations are based, is garbage? I can accept that. I'll stick with "lasciviousness", as you wish.

Now that we're done splitting hairs, let's ask the question:

HOW DO PEOPLE WHO CLAIM TO FOLLOW JESUS TURN GRACE INTO SEXUAL DEVIANCY?

BY CLAIMING GRACE IS A LICENSE TO COMMIT SEXUAL DEVIANCY BECAUSE WHATEVER WE DO IS COVERED BY GRACE.

See what I did there? I showed you that "turning the grace of God into lasciviousness" and "turning the grace of God into a OSAS License to Sin" are essentially the same thing. You guys claim grace covers a Christian's porn habit because "nothing can snatch us out of His hand" and "all that God has given Jesus, none of them shall be lost".

I'll answer you as soon as you answer post #152,518. So far, none of you in the OSAS crowd have been able to, and what a shame you guys don't realize how cowardly the pompous, confident, self-assured one is when a challenge is set before him from which he runs. Go on, be the first to explain it.

Explain how it is the "many" of Matthew 24:12 who once had "agape" in their hearts but will be lost can be the wicked if 1 John 5:3 says "agape" is demonstrated only by happily keeping God's commandments, yet Romans 8:7 says the wicked can't keep them even if they wanted to.

"line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little, there a little"
Finish the quotation.

"so that they may be broken, and fall backward, and be snared"

Jesus said, "If ye love Me, keep My commandments", the very commandments HE SPOKE HIMSELF
God spoke all of the law.
If you accept circumcision you make yourself a debtor to the whole law, and make Christ of no effect.

Once again,

Colossians 2:16 KJV
Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath

kjv says "the sabbath"

Are you saying kjv is incorrect?

lest you continue to be deceived by Satan and think you have any of this remotely close:

Μὴ οὖν τις ὑμᾶς κρινέτω ἐν βρώσει ἢ ἐν πόσει ἢ ἐν μέρει ἑορτῆς ἢ νουμηνίας ἢ σαββάτων·
(Colossians 2:16)
0?τῆς is literally in English ((not the language of scripture)) "festivals" or "feast days" -- any sabbath having to specifically do with a feast day is very obviously and very clearly implicit within this word.
then comes "
νουμηνίας" -- new moon festivals. God puts this inbetween ἑορτῆς and σαββάτων - the Living God Himself separates 'feast days' from "sabbath" because all scripture is God breathed. a marked division authored by Christ Himself.

therefore
your assertion that σαββάτων only refers to ἑορτῆς is not onyl absolutely heretical, unsupportable, indefensible and utterly false -- it is absolutely laughable -- you have zero case whatsoever for your 100% transparently, desperately idiotic to the point that absolutely no one who has even the slightest training in the scripture, and WOW no one with the Holy Spirit in any amount at all, would ever by your blasphemous & obviously false personal misinterpretation of Colossians 2:16.

we are on to you, tele-dude.
you're full of malarky.
full to the point in spills out embarrassingly in everything you write.
you are embarassing all of Christendom as long as you claim to be part of it.
when one part of our body is put to shame, we are all ashamed.
look at this thread: we are ashamed of you.

you're desperate for Galatians not to exist, and you preach quite possibly the most insanely ridiculous private misinterpretation of Colossians 2 i have ever heard in my whole life.

my dude, please self-reflect.
salvation is by grace, not works, and that not of yourself.

don't think for a second i refrain from answering any of your inane posts because i am either afraid or unable -- i simply struggle with considering you worth my time; you're so far gone.

The 10 commandments are the Mosaic Law. They were given under Moses. => Mosaic Law

There were no 10 commandments from the beginning. That is wishing into scripture things that aren't there.

The 10 commandments were given during the time of Moses. Adam didn't have the 10 commandments.

This is starting to get kind of dumb... Like trying to reason with a little kid who has his fingers in his ears...

looks like he has been here for awhile. Same stuff different day. I doubt he will hear anyone. many have tried to show him, he just rants and raves and uses the same tricks to dispel any reasoning can be had
