From different angles, I see how the enemy is preparing to attack. I see their strategies, their desires, and the darkness that consumes the surrounding light as they slowly creep toward me.

I have weathered these attacks before, I have seen the damage, the pain, and lives destroyed from the same tactics. I have seen those who once were full of life now a shell of who they once were.

But my God who goes before me and follows me, where I stand is Holy ground not based on merit but grace; your atonement and power cover me and reside within me. Your Spirit, like a Lion, is ready to destroy the forces of evil; every entrenchment, every angle, the Holy fire will not be quenched.

I fear no demon, no devil, no schemes of man as my God who commands the angelic hosts reminds them they are already defeated. My Lord is working His will and divine plan so that every strategy of Satan finds ultimate defeat.

Built like the lighthouse, the Christian as the keeper of the light can withstand the waves that consistently bash against them. We hold our ground, but by no means without offensive tactics, the light must go forth. In prayer, discernment, wisdom, truth, and peace, we can then proceed to walk through the valleys and bring down every mountain.

Our armor is the armor of light, giving us both defense and offensive capabilities. A bold faith to push forward, to bash through the enemy forces, a double-edged sword with the Spirit that not only cuts into me but the wicked as well, and prayer like communication for reinforcements, resupply, or artillery, God will supply, and God will disrupt those who wish to destroy me.

I have no doubts about this, and now it is time to pray as the storm is forming.

Hello "gentle" soul,

You are steadfast in your faith in Jesus Christ, all is well with you!

In life, there are only two choices..... Life or Death..... Jesus Christ or Satan. There is no other option on the table... just Jesus Christ or Satan.

We can be fooled by thinking we have the choice to deny both Jesus and Satan and get to choose our own will and just do our own thing but, that choice actually does NOT even exist. By choosing my own will, I have denied Jesus Christ and chosen Satan which means I end up with a bunch of demons and demonic attack and my flesh is going crazy and my soul is tormented.

We must constantly choose LIFE. Choose Jesus Christ. Resist the devil, he will flee!

Jesus Christ can protect and defend those that love Him and belong to Him. He will not protect what belongs to Satan.

No matter the storm you are facing, in Christ you are NEVER alone. The battle is the LORD's. You belong to Him, all is well with you. Amen.(y)

Update: I did not share the what I saw the looming darkness to be but I have a grandmother who believes she is dying (we are making a emergency trip to see her) I have a fellow Christian brother who is struggling within his marriage facing divorce due to his anger and apathy, I have another brother in Christ that is weighing on my heart because I must ask him has he been faithful to his wife (trying to figure out what to say he is known as a pastor), my physical ailments are increased due to being put into a new position at work, and another friend who i consider a good friend but an unbeliever is facing a undiagnosed illness. He has been so close to accepting Jesus but anytime we get close, he distances himself from me, wife had knee surgery which is healing properly.

Satan is busy trying to destroy families, destroy our faith, and keeping unbelievers from taking root.

Stay rooted my friends and firmly planted so that we may resist everything the forces of evil have to throw at us.

You have a lot weighing on your heart and mind. Prayers for grace under travail and strength to carry on...

Psalm 34:19 plus 2 Corinthians 4:8-9~ Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers us from them all. In every way we're troubled but not crushed, frustrated but not in despair, persecuted but not abandoned, struck down but not destroyed.

Psalm 34:4~ I sought the LORD, and He answered me, and He delivered me from all my fears.

You are a "gentle and kind" soul... nothing "rough" about you at all!

You have a lot of compassion for others which is good but, it sounds like you're trying to carry everybody or fix everybody. That will wear you out and is not God's will for you.

Reminds me of a chapter of a book I read (How to Stop the Pain by James Richards). The name of the chapter is called
"Fixing you is killing me!"

Walk in wisdom and only carry what God gives you to carry because His burden is light and His yoke is easy.(y)

Thank you, that was a very euphoric place. I felt a sense of great peace and wish I could go back to spend time in prayer and meditation alone.

I found out today the pastor friend I have met with consistently for years has been cheating on his wife for at least a year. It really testifies that we all should be on guard as any one of us could fall or turn to sin if we are not 24/7 diligently on guard.

I believe he has cut ties with me and everyone else. I just pray he seeks repentance and doesn't continue to live proclaiming to be a pastor while (living) in sin.

My Christian brother who I have considered a friend for the last couple of years now has me questioning his faith. How can one say they are of the faith but treat his spouse so horribly with verbal and emotional abuse. For years it was a good front, we thought they were a model Christian marriage but as soon as we would leave the fights would start again. For 17 years the wife has put up with the anger hoping he would change but 7 kids later, it seems to get worse.

He wants my wife to talk to his wife in order to help save the marriage but after what my wife was told by his wife she couldn't in right moral standing suggest either or because it does sound extremely toxic to live in that mess.

I talked to the husband for an hour the other day and it worries me as he has already experienced a 3 day psychotic break where he was just wondering around the house, mumbling, and speaking of demons.

My other friend who is an unbeliever has also distanced himself from me. I'll try to reach out again tonight because he is dealing with health issues and a wife who has lost feeling for him as well. Due to his health, deployments, video games, and his work schedule, he I guess at some point took her for granted.

In so much of this all I can do is pray, listen, and offer Biblical council but I am equally torn by this verse below,

James 2:15-17
15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

Maybe it is the brain of a male wanting to fix things, wanting a easy and direct solution to fix something but this involves the one factor no one can predict, human free will. These things will only be fixed if both sides choose to follow the Biblical commands for marriage.

I agree completely, I find myself at times thinking back reflecting on how God has continually shown me Grace.
Amen to that. If we keep that mindset we can't help but be in a constant state of humility.
