Nice to meet you and welcome to CC! Wow, hot in the UK....I imagine it as foggy, misty and raining most of the time, the weather is really out of the norm. My favorite shows are filmed there and the Isle of Wight is such a fascinating location. God bless you and your time here!
Well I really think Agatha Christie was a savant with all her mystery novel whodunits. Main characters Miss Marple and Hercule Poirot. They are usually set in the 30's. Also, Fr Brown, Bargain Hunt, S Holmes w/Rathbone, Rosemary and Thyme, Antiques Roadshow, and my favorite all-time TV series is Long Lost Family UK. For some reason in a lot of British movies Jesus has a British accent, lol. When asked why they said it sounds better.Your expectation of the UK is pretty accurate for most of the yearbut at the moment there is talk of temperatures reaching the highest on record, so yes, out of the norm.
What shows are you referring to?
May the LORD bless you too, and thank you!

On... ?I am writing my master’s thesis
It sounds very academic… but I am writing about autocratic regime legitimation, legitimacy , stability in the People’s Republic of China and its interplay with the logic of Chinese/sino-capitalism…No mention of Downton Abbey or anything by Jane Austen? For shame!
And we must not forget Fawlty Towers!!!
