I do think water baptism and Holy Spirit baptism both play a role in being "Born Again" which comes after receiving the Blood and Body of Jesus Christ for Salvation.

Jesus did tell Nicodemus, "you must be born again of water AND Spirit to even see the Kingdom of God."

Water baptism must be an important role.... Jesus told His disciples to water baptize believers.

When Jesus was water baptized by John the Baptist in the Jordan River, there was water AND the Holy Spirit present.

I do believe Water Baptism fully immersed and Holy Spirit Baptism fully immersed are both part of the process of being Born Again (separate from receiving Salvation but are evidence of Salvation received).

Sorry, if my post is a bit confusing. I'm a concrete thinker... I break info down into steps. Abstract thinkers have a hard time understanding all my "steps".....lol! :giggle: Steps help me understand.

You got it right;

Here is clear proof;

Baptism is Required

Peter 3: 21.... whereunto even baptism doth also now save us...

John 3:5 .......Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Acts 2;38-....Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 22;16... And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

Galations 3:26...... For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

KJV Marrk 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

KJV Matthew 3:14... But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? 15. Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now, for thus it becometh us to fulfil all rightesousness. Then He suffered Him.

KJV Matthew 28:19..... Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:.

Acts 8:12-18: But when they believed Philip as he preached the things concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, both men and women were baptized.

Acts 19:4 And Paul said, “John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, Jesus.”

John 3; 22 After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.
23 And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.

Quote from Billy Graham that is note worthy;
....Also, to clarify I did not say remission of sin takes place at repentance. Scripture makes it clear that it occurs upon obedience to water baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus. Each is a step of faith, along with receiving the Holy Ghost, in the process of one's spiritual rebirth

.."Paul explains the doctrinal significance of what occurs when one is baptized. His explanation is found in his letter to those who had already been obedient to the command.

Paul tells the Roman Christians what actually occurred when they were/are baptized; they were baptized into His death. Being buried with Jesus into His death resulted in their sin being destroyed.

Even though Paul explains this concept, the NEW AGE RELIGION TEACHING is......... that water baptism is nothing other than a mere public display.......... And that is so far removed from the truth.

Keep in mind that Satan knows if he can continue to perpetuate that lie ...... he can keep people from entering the kingdom of God. Thus He has proven scripture which says ...in the end times there will be ...great delusions.....they are here.

Conclusion....teaching that baptism is not necessary is violation of Rev. 22;19.... And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. 20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. (Also two other books of the Bible).

Haven't you heard? Jesus dealt with it. On the cross. After living a sinless life to fulfill the
requirements of the law.
"Behold the Lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the world."

It is wrong to .....partially present....miss leading newbies. ..... ...without adding complete process of sin repentance process.
You infer automatic sin cleansing ...not true.

The very title of this thread is indicative of the attitudes of some people. Is baptism "necessary" they ask, hoping to avoid it if possible. The Ethiopian eunuch should be our example; he couldn't wait to get in that water.

And it's obvious Philip taught him baptism as an important part of the gospel. How else would the eunuch know he needed to get baptized?

So correct.
Additionally...without sin..Christ presented Himself for baptism explaining that it is for ...sin cleansing.

To those who don't follow God's word....go tell.

I'm not so sure we actually believe the same thing....this is what I believe:

To be SAVED one needs to BELIEVE in Jesus Christ and receive His Blood and Body.

To be BORN AGAIN one needs the water baptism and Holy Spirit baptism.

The water baptism and Holy Spirit baptism are evidence that a person is saved.

Don't you agree one must be born again? if being saved at judgment is desired?
We can only be born again if we repent , get baptized and live a righteous life..."until the end"...?
What am I missing?

"Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. [12] Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you." Matt. 5:11-12
No reward for the twisting of scripture you are responsible for promoting.

Believing what God says about it is essential to receiving remission of one's personal sin. And as stated this is only made available through Jesus' sacrifice. Otherwise all that would occur is one getting wet. It's all about trusting what God says is true whether we understand it or not.
You don't believe what God says though. You want to add works to the complete work of God's Son. I think you are possibly trying to convince yourself since you know the rest of us have shown you over and over that you are wrong concerning water regeneration.

You are missing the blood of Christ and seek to replace that with water. Well there's that, but it seems you are just generally wrong. I gave up on your long winded posts some time back. Sometimes you actually say 2 different things and think you are in agreement with yourself.

Apart from the belief that water baptism removes sin, peldom also believes one must follow the commandments. Even though that never saved one soul, perhaps the combination of following OT commandments and water washing works differently.

And yet he will tell you that salvation is not by works.

Salvation and being Born Again are two different things to me which we might not agree on and I'm not sure if you understand the purpose of the Body of Jesus Christ - His Body is the Human Fulfillment of the Law that God required for us to do - basically all the "works" of righteousness necessary for Salvation. We still do good works but, not for Salvation.

The Blood of Jesus takes away our sin;
The Body of Jesus gives us the Righteousness of God; and
we are sealed with the Holy Spirit but not yet baptized with the Holy Spirit.
We're saved but not born again yet... it's like conception, we're in the womb, a child of God but not born yet.

To be Born Again, we need the water baptism and the Holy Spirit baptism.

Water Baptism is a public ceremony of showing we have entered into a covenant with Jesus Christ by laying our lives down like Him, being buried with Him, and rising from the dead with Him.

Holy Spirit Baptism is when we receive power to be Jesus Christ's witnesses because the Holy Spirit is indwelling us, being our Comforter, Teacher, Guide, Counsellor, Instructor, correcting us, maturing us, opening the scriptures to us, etc. The Breath of God... like a new born baby takes their first breath. The Eternal Life of God is indwelling us.

Now, we're Born Again.(y)

Some of this is hard to understand and it's completely okay if we do not agree on it. Just stay with Jesus Christ!(y)

Wrong. Jesus was baptized to fulfill all righteousness. In your mind, and belief system, He did not do that.

What sin did Jesus commit in order to need 'sin cleansing'?

13 Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to John, to be baptized by him. 14 John would have prevented him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?” 15 But Jesus answered him, “Let it be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he consented. Matthew 3

His inward righteousness, having never sinned, was illustrated by submitting to water baptism.

It is the same for believers today. We submit to water baptism to identify with Jesus. He is righteous; we are not. We are righteous in Christ...HIS righteousness...and we proclaim our new life IN him through baptism.

It's in the Bible and could not be plainer or even easier to understand.

When He had by offering Himself accomplished our cleansing of sins and
riddance of guilt, He sat down at the right hand of the divine Majesty on high,
^ Hebrews 1:3 [AMPC]

The Son is the light of God’s glory and the imprint of God’s being. He maintains
everything with his powerful message. After he carried out the cleansing of people
from their sins, he sat down at the right side of the highest majesty. [CEB]

Yochanan I 1:9
If we make vidduy (confession of sin) of chattoteinu (our sins), he is ne’eman (faithful) and
tzaddik to grant selicha (forgiveness) of chattoteinu (our sins) and give us tohorah (purification,
cleansing) from kol avon. [DEVARIM 32:4; TEHILLIM 32:5; 51:2; MISHLE 28:13; MICHOH 7:18-20]

who being the brightness of the glory, and the impress of His subsistence, bearing
up also the all things by the saying of his might -- through himself having made a
cleansing of our sins, sat down at the right hand of the greatness in the highest, [YLT]

See? Jesus accomplished that. Not you being dipped or sprinkled or dunked.

Christ presented Himself for baptism explaining that it is for ...sin cleansing.
I checked multiple versions; "sin cleansing" was not found.

You would do well to not put words in Jesus' mouth.

Feel free to X Scripture as you normally do...

I don't think it. I'm just saying that's the attitude of a lot of folks who want to avoid baptism. I knew that would probably confuse people.
Perhaps it is you who are confused.

once again..

rom 6 is spirit baptism, NOT WATER

and 1 peter is Peter telling us, Like the waters of the flood. which symbolises what truely saves, Baptism also symbolises what truely saves.

He made it clear to show that water baptism does not remove sin,m It is the answer of a good consious to God (like aboying any command is)
OT foreshadows always point to NT realities.
