Emotionally I left Christianity and started searching. I still loved God and Jesus but to me the Church had lost it. I briefly looked at Judaism and left in discouragement. I investigated Islam and learned so much. Perhaps 1/4 or more of the Quran is about Jesus (Issa) and Mary (Miriam) (From Arabic)

More than 20 years later God and Jesus are still central for me. I trust God (Allah if you wish) and know deeply that he loves me and is ever before me. I'm not really open to changing my mind.

I sought Him until I found Him. It took 4 months of earnestly seeking Him. I already believed in Jesus in my heart, but one day in July, 1994, I walked into a church I knew nothing about. After a simple service, I went up for prayer. Out of several hundred people, I was the first one to get prayed for.
I had several visions, the last one was when I met my Father. I didn't see a man, but I was aware of His presence and His unconditional love for me. He was paying attention to me! It was the best day of my life! I found what I was searching for...my destination.

Hello Katia,

I'm new here too. Hope you are well and enjoy good fellowship.
If you haven't heard any good news lately, it might be because the clear grace gospel is missing from too many churches. I don't blame them Al though. One church took vacation time and expense to go to Guyana to share God's good news with children in schools, police, neighborhoods and whoever wanted God's promise of heaven.

I know God and Jesus who are One from the Holy Bible and from the moving of the Holy Spirit upon my conscience..

I believe i was fortunate to have read the Holy Bible during the process of becoming a Christian..

My problem with Islam is simple. They place a blood thirsty, murdering paedophile above the Lord Jesus. Jesus harmed no one, healed and delivered even His enemies, endured slander and abuse for the salvation of all who would receive Him. Mohamed murdered anyone who opposed him, killed anyone who mocked him and slept with a 9 year old girl. His weapons were lies, deception and a rampaging army. As a conquering warlord, he was highly effective. You could say that about Hitler also, at least for a few years.

ISIL, the Taliban, Pakistani Muslims, Saudi Arabia are not extremists. Neither are the other hard line Muslims. It is normal Islam. Jesus rules and reigns at the right hand of God. Mohamed is dead and buried, judged a sinner whose destination is the Lake of Fire.

Jesus, murdered by His enemies, rose from the dead to be King of Kings and Lord of Lords. I know who I believe and it's not Mohamed.

Hi, Katia.

I'm not sure exactly what you endured rom the pulpit in the past, but I've got plenty of horror stories of my own from my experiences in "church", so I can definitely understand how "churches' might turn people away.

You mentioned the "guilt" from the pulpit, but I'd like to ask you a question about "guilt" in general.

In other words, how do you presently find redemption from the guilt of your sins against God?

Biblically speaking, there's only one remedy for "guilt", and that is the spotless sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary in which he became our "scapegoat" or sin-bearer.

Islam not only denies this atoning sacrifice, but also denies the Father/Son relationship between God the Father and Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us that those who do so are antichrists.

Does this concern you?

It should.

Anyhow, I'm not asking these questions to condemn you, but rather to hopefully help you realize how much you need the redemption that is found only in Jesus Christ. He's A LOT MORE than just the "prophet" that Islam claims he was.

Dear Katia, I understand what you go through, i myself looked at many religions in search of the one true GOD, i was raised a catholic and despised this church for all the wrong that they do. in my late teens, i studied briefly many many of the world's religions , i knew there was a GOD, had always felt a presence with me and wanted to know. The last religion I had not studied was what was in the Bible.

Immediately i was intrigued and found what i was looking for; GOD the creator and the history of his chosen people. When i reached the writings about out LORD Jesus I was completely enthralled. I knew then I had found the truth, there is only one GOD YAHWEH and his Son Jesus Christ.

I saw while reading the bible, great wisdom and continuity in the texts and great Hope that no other religious texts can come close to it was like one GOD wrote it all through different people, I was hooked and that will never change, I have found a great treasure of love and wisdom and Hope in the sacred texts and remain firm in my faith, nothing can change that now.

For many years I thought that many of the world's religions shared the same God at their core but i found it was false, there is only One, the GOD of the bible YAHWEH. I urge you to continue your search for the truth and I know that you will find it. Please remain firm in your love of GOD and his son Jesus, they are the way and the light of the world.

What you were seeing was the false church. The true Church is a precious thing, but Satan has many counterfeits. Then there are so many lukewarm and watered-down Churches. Please don't give up seeking. The real thing is out there, but loving Jesus is the key thing.
