The good guy with a gun stopping a mass shooting is a catastrophe for the Left. The problem with all the previous mass shootings was that they were taking place in liberal states where guns are basically not allowed. So it wasn't making a case for gun laws, on the contrary, people were arguing that if someone had a gun it would have made a difference. So they set up a mass shooting at an elementary school hoping the little elementary school kids wouldn't be armed. The problem was the police were completely exposed as being useless, not someone you want to rely on and the killer was stopped with a good guy with a gun.
So now they go to a shopping mall. It is in Indiana which just recently passed a constitutional carry law, however this mall had a notice that you were not supposed to have a gun in the mall. Hopefully this shooting would prove the fallacy in the good guy with a gun theory. However, we had a good samaritan who ended the mass shooter in 15 seconds. This is a catastrophe! This proves the good guy with a gun theory. No state that has legalized guns will be able to pass any laws where they can seize your guns from you now!
So the View has to somehow disparage this guy.
It is true the Mall doesn't want people to carry guns in the mall but that doesn't make it illegal. They don't get to decide the laws in the state. What they can do is ban this person who saved many lives from the Mall, let's see how that impacts their foot traffic.
Now this guy will be investigated. Was it justifiable? Since the person he shot and killed had just killed three people I would hazard a guess that the answer is yes. Second, did he stop shooting once the threat was over? Again, by all accounts it seems the answer is yes.
