Hey guys. Now I've been listening to different varieties of metal all genres, including satanic metal... I enjoy the melody but what's worse is that it's manipulating, I disrespect my mum.... Think impure..... I'm lost in life. Has God abandoned me? is he frowning upon me? I want to change guys please pray! I feel very emotional I want to be with the lord.

My friend. Let's look at a beautiful revelation of just what makes God frown upon us. And remember, it is a frown.
Jesus made it clear that what defiles the person come out of his heart. So, one person says, okay then I can listen to satanic music as long as it doesn't get into my heart. And you would be right. But you would actually be tempting God, which defiles you. And then, people are so weak, though they think they are wise and can handle things, but before you know it, your heart will begin to grow cold against God. Because what enters our ears, we might receive and anything that contradicts what we receive to be okay, we object to.
Now, if a person came in and said, ''SATANIC METAL is against the Lord Jesus Christ, and people who enjoy it worship Satan.'' You might just find offense with that, and even though it is true, you might defend it (Even though you said that it is okay for you so long as it doesn't get in your heart). But we know that where the treasure of your heart always comes out of your mouth. And does God speak filthiness or promote Satanic worship? Nope.
So you are risking your own soul by doing such things. You would be better to throw all of that mess away and seek God only, as you cannot have two masters, because you will certainly worship one over the other.
