Adam and Eve were created in that same image.

“Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” Jesus answered. “It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in him.” (John 9:2-3)
Not sure where you’re going with this.

It is explicitly written why they can't accept the Gospel.
Do you know that verse?
Matthew 19:11 Jesus says some people cannot accept certain teachings regarding marriage but rather only those to whom it has been given.

I used to think that God chose those that will go to heaven and He filled them with His Holy Spirit and changed their heart so that they would be acceptable to the Father. I thought that there was nothing that man could do to be saved because God did it all.
God does choose those who will be going to heaven. Them He chose, He Loved with an everlasting Love, and in time He sanctifies them by His Spirit, that is regenerates them, that prepares them for the call of the Gospel 2 Thess 2:13-14

13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

So the effectually called by the Gospel, had to loved, chosen, sanctified, called.

How does my picking up a piece of paper on my neighbor’s lawn display the glory of God?
You don't know?

You cared enough to maintain the beauty of his creation from litter.

If not you,who?
If not now,when?

I did answer it. The gift of eternal life is available for everyone but not everyone accepts the gift. That’s no loss on Jesus’s doing.
Read my post again. I ask you specific questions that you did not answer. You leave me no alternative, than to believe that you cannot answer them.

I used to think that God chose those that will go to heaven and He filled them with His Holy Spirit and changed their heart so that they would be acceptable to the Father. I thought that there was nothing that man could do to be saved because God did it all.

John 8: 47 " He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God."
Throughout the whole Bible, communication between God and man is done through the Father's Holy Spirit. Those that hear God's words are those that are called by God and have received His Holy Spirit. That is why in Matt 7: 22 " Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out demons? And in thy name done many wonderful works? " , these people had received the Father's Holy Spirit in order to perform the above mentioned works. But in Matt 7: 21 " Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he that doeth the will of my Father, who is in heaven." , the chosen are those that hear the words of the Father through His Holy Spirit and obey. In Matt 7 :23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you; depart from me, ye that work iniquity. ", iniquity is failure to obey Christ's commandments which is to love God first and everyone else second. When we do everything motivated by love , we are walking in the Spirit and obeying.
you used to think what you did because you hadn’t heard yet , now you are hearing . We all start out somewhere around here

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭

when that’s really all we known and can grasp we’re babes but we belong to Jesus all the same he’s already got us in his arms at this point but as babes do we start to learn from the parent ( his word as you have correctly identified is our teacher through the spirit )

so we start our simple but believing later we mature because we start hearing adult doctrine as we grow in grace peace and knowledge through believing the gospel , this comes more apparent and we start learning about this difference

“And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: he is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.

But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:46-49‬ ‭KJV‬‬

this is Jesus teaching us gently leading us from rebellion to obedience because we first believe and acknolwedge he indeed is the lord

We learn from him once we first believe and because of this we grow in him eventually we arrive at this reality

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:10-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

As we come to thy reality that what we do is held to account we can then repent and have it washed away so as to send our sins ahead to be forgiven rather than not repenting and carrying them with us to judgement

it’s wonderful to see your eyes opening up more as your post suggests let wha the happening change your thinking letting it conform your faith and he will lead you in it actually severing the ties within you to sin and death and leading you in righteousness if we’re able to change like your currently are experiencing in our beliefs and conform to what Gods beliefs are which is found in his word , then it’s not gonna be the same old sinner trying to become righteous but it’s Jesus working inside of us to sever the flesh deeds and provide the fruits of the spirit

so very many Christian’s can’t do what your doing right now and let go of what you thought , and instead of holding on to that your letting Gods word become how you think

God bless you as you stand and walk brother

I'm not going to assist you in editing Jesus Gospel to your liking.

You live your doctrine.
You have my blessings as far as what ever it is you want to believe. Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior and that’s the only thing that matters.

Read my post again. I ask you specific questions that you did not answer. You leave me no alternative, than to believe that you cannot answer them.
I understand the issue now, you don’t believe we have free will to choose to believe in Christ, hence why you ask loaded questions designed to push your calvinistic narrative.

The Father has given some to Christ and He will not lose any of them. As for everyone else, Christ died for them also. It is not a loss on Jesus’ part when members of the latter group refuse His gift. So the answer to your first question is no.

As for your second question, the answer is not a yes or no answer. Christ provides the opportunity for all mankind to have eternal life. Not everyone accepts His gift. If you don’t accept His gift you don’t have eternal life.

“And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?''

Whatever I want to believe?

In these discussions with Universalists, Arminians, and those who suffer anti-Calvisist disorder, seeing Calvinism everywhere they witness those who adhere to the Gospel, some even calling members a liar through allusion so to skirt the rules against personal attack, when someone states they are not Calvinist but Christian, it all serves to reiterate what Jesus taught us.

1 Corinthians 2:14 [AMP]
But the natural [unbelieving] man does not accept the things [the teachings and revelations] of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness [absurd and illogical] to him; and he is incapable of understanding them, because they are spiritually discerned and appreciated, [and he is unqualified to judge spiritual matters].

Which is why the selfish ego centric human nature thinks itself able to work to earn Heaven, and choose to follow Christ.

The ego overlooks God's words and interject their own.
They insist everyone is able to be Saved. If that were true Universalism would be Orthodoxy , not heresy.

They reword Paul's Jesus inspired messages to us. Salvation and faith are free irrevocable gifts from God. Ephesians 2
They reword or ignore Jesus who tells us no one can come to him unless the father draws them. John 6.

They think they can read the New Testament and choose to follow Jesus because they understand it. If they did they wouldn't ignore it,rewrite it, or argue against it.

They think the Gospel is Calvinism when it is brought forth as written and in context. Because they cannot understand.

The free gift of Salvation is not like the transgression. For if by the transgression of the one Adam the many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man , Jesus Christ, abound to the many.

They cannot read that passage on Romans 5 rightly. The unregenerate see 'everyone' or 'all', when those words are not there.

Because they do not read the Old Testament and understand we are born dead in our trespasses and sins. Because Ephesians 2 does not reach them.
Nor does the ego allow for the comprehension of Romans 3 and that none is righteous, no, not one.

Because John 3 is only read as verse 26, not to include verse 19 where they would learn people love the darkness rather than the light and think they can choose to change their nature by believing a doctrine they write for themselves and their own sake.

@ForestGreenCook you're defending the Gospel against those the Gospel tells you are not called to understand the Gospel.

Will you convince that which God has hardened? Has not called to understand?

Will you overcome God's will and plan? ''“there is none who does good, no not one” (Romans 3:12). Or will you one day realize what you're posting to is proof of God's words? You understand the Gospel. Your arguing with those who do not.

There is a way that seems right to a man,but its end is the way to death.

I understand Jesus Christ's promise that
whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. I'm not concerned about theological opinions that have nothing to do with salvation unless those opinions are an attempt to devalue the Gospel.

After all the accusations that claim I'm a liar when I state I am not Calvinist, but am Gospel, I decided to look for a Calvinism video.

This short video won't be viewed by the Universalists or works Salvationists.

However it is offered to impart an education for those who want to know what Calvinism is. Four and five point Calvinism.

What is important to note is Calvinism takes its tenets from scripture. Universalism cannot. Nor can works Salvationists.

Jesus taught we cannot freely choose him. After that any man-made doctrine claiming we can is entirely contradicting Jesus and by nature, fallen human nature, is false to its core.

P.S The Bible predates the Reformers, and everyone who taught what some exclusively attribute to John Calvin.

They all gained their teachings from scripture.
2 Timothy 1:9 Who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began,

Then you should cease excising the Gospel and promoting the natural person can understand what can only be understood with the change brought about by the holy spirit.

Insisting natural man, woman, dead in trespasses and sins are able to understand things of the spirit contradicts scripture.

Ephesians 4:18They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart.

1Corinthians 2:
Proclaiming Christ Crucified

1. And I, when I came to you, brothers,[a] did not come proclaiming to you the testimony[b] of God with lofty speech or wisdom. 2 For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. 3 And I was with you in weakness and in fear and much trembling, 4 and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men[c] but in the power of God.

Wisdom from the Spirit
6 Yet among the mature we do impart wisdom, although it is not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are doomed to pass away. 7 But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glory. 8 None of the rulers of this age understood this, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 But, as it is written,

“What no eye has seen, nor ear heard,
nor the heart of man imagined,
what God has prepared for those who love him”—

10 these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. 11 For who knows a person's thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. 13 And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual.[d]

14 The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. 15 The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one. 16 “For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.
