No, The Sheep were chosen first, thats why they hear His voice.
They know that. It's the game of thrones wolves.
2Timothy 3:1-9

John 10

Romans 1:6

Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:

Under the New Covenant, not all men and women are the called of Jesus Christ. This called should not be confused with the called in Matt 22:14

14For many are called, but few are chosen.

There is a dispensational difference here, for under the Old Covenant Israel as a nation was called, and this is in reference to the nation as the context will tell, just read the passage leading up to that verse and that will be seen..

But in the NT post cross, the called are those that are the called of Jesus Christ, like Saul who became Paul was called in Acts 9:1-6

So when writing His epistles and addressing them as the called, He has his personal experience to verify the calling he has in mind..

The called of Jesus Christ is not for all men, but for those men and women whom Jesus Christ was made sin for, and those whom His righteousness has been reckoned unto their account..

It is a distinct group of people, separated from all other peoples in the world..

It is a call that though it is to a distinct people, its inclusive of both jew and gentile per Rom 9:23-24

23And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

It is the call to whom the eternal inheritance belongeth Heb 9:15

15And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

Here are more scriptures pointing out this distinguished group, the called:

1 Cor 1:23-24,26-28

23But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness

24But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

Notice " but unto them which are called" in contrast to the stumbling jews and the worldly wise greeks"

But God has chosen ones [ the called] in both groups.

26For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

The called are the same here as the chosen..

27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

The called: Rom 8:29-30

29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

Not all are of the called of Jesus Christ, but only those given to Him for His seed, and they in due time are called into fellowship with Him.. 1 Cor 1:1,2,9

1Paul called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,

2Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both their's and our's:

9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

This calling proceeds from the Faithfulness of God unto the chosen race, that seed whom Jesus died for..

Isa 53:10

10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
You may have a problem in your understanding (your interpretation) of chapter eight of Romans.

Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate...

Paul has been discussing the failure of Israel since chapter two.

Those God had formerly known (the Jews), these were also predestined in Christ.

If you read the next two chapters in Romans, it becomes even clearer. that Paul is actually explaining. Why Israel, the elect nation, has failed in their quest for salvation in Christ.

Finally, chapter eleven of Romans, drives the nail into the coffin, of all wayward interpretations.

Romans 11:2 God has not rejected His people whom He foreknew...

Don't look now but that's also known as, Unconditional Election.

The U in Calvinisms TULIP.
😊

Unconditional Election First, what is election? Election is the act of God’s sovereign will where before the creation of the world he chooses an individual or group of people to accomplish a purpose. Therefore, election designates being chosen for a purpose.

  1. Quote: “This understanding of election has traditionally been called “unconditional election.” It is “unconditional” because it is not conditioned upon anything that God sees in us that makes us worthy of his choosing us.” (Grudem, Wayne A. (2009-05-18). Systematic Theology: An Introduction to Biblical Doctrine (Entender) (p. 679). Zondervan. Kindle Edition.
  2. In the context of the term “unconditional election”, this election is the sovereign act of God where, from before the foundation of the world, he chose those whom he would save (Eph. 1:4; 2 Thess. 2:13). This election to save is not conditioned upon any foreseen faith (Rom. 9:16) or any foreseen good works of any individual (Rom. 9:11; 2 Tim. 1:9). This election is based completely on God’s sovereign choice according to the kind intention of His will (Eph. 1:11). God chose the elect because he decided to bestow his love upon them (John 3:16; Eph. 2:4), based solely on his sovereign grace (Gal. 1:15), and for his glory (Isaiah 43:7).
    1. Eph. 1:4, “just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love.”
    2. 2 Thessalonians 2:13, “But we should always give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth.”
    3. Rom. 9:16, “So then it does not depend on the man who wills or the man who runs, but on God who has mercy.”
    4. Rom. 9:11, “for though the twins were not yet born and had not done anything good or bad, so that God’s purpose according to His choice would stand, not because of works but because of Him who calls.”
    5. 2 Tim. 1:9, “who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was granted us in Christ Jesus from all eternity.”
    6. Eph. 1:11, “also we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will.”
    7. John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”
    8. Eph. 2:4, “But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us.”
    9. Gal. 1:15, “But when God, who had set me apart even from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace, was pleased.”
    10. Isaiah 43:7, “Everyone who is called by My name, and whom I have created for My glory, Whom I have formed, even whom I have made.”
hahaha and yet Peter is very clear that God knew who would believe in Him and who would not {God is separated because He knows the End from the Beginning}. So, it has nothing to do with being Elected, it has everything to do with God knew who would Choose Him.

you want to make it so God MADE ME CHOOSE HIM. but that is as False as the Pharisees claiming Jesus cast out demons by demons!

FOREKNOW; FOREKNOWLEDGE

1. Meaning of the Term:

The word "foreknowledge" has two meanings. It is a term used in theology to denote the prescience or foresight of God, that is, His knowledge of the entire course of events which are future from the human point of view; and it is also used in the King James Version and the Revised Version (British and American) to translate the Greek words proginoskein and prognosis in the New Testament, in which instances the word "fore-knowledge" approaches closely the idea of fore- ordination.

2. Fore-knowledge as Prescience:

In the sense of prescience foreknowledge is an aspect of God's omniscience (see OMNISCIENCE).

https://thebiblebrief.com/book-of-romans-summary/
Romans Summary:
Romans is a book of Doctrine, Christian living and Justification by Faith alone (Chaps.3, 4). Paul begins by warning of the consequences of unbelief in chapter 1; warning that all men are guilty under the Law (Ch.3:23), and so needing redemption through faith in Christ.

From chapter 4 onwards he warns that the Old Testament law has failed, in that it was only ever intended to lead people to the perfect law, which is through faith in Christ (Ch.10:17).

Chapter 12 onward instructs on Christian living, service and conscience (Ch.14), with regard to eating habits and condemning others for what they do, or do not, eat.

Notes & Quotes:
There is perhaps no other book in the New Testament, with the exception of the four Gospels, that has had such an impact on Church history, and in particular during the period of the reformation.

Augustine’s conversion is largely due to Romans, as is the ‘Justification by Faith alone’ movement of Martin Luther that started the great Reformation and the Protestant movement.

Many issues are covered from Diet and Conscience Ch.14) to homosexuality (Ch.1:24-28); very much a ‘hot topic’ in our own day.

In Romans 7:14-25, Paul exercises his mighty brain and writes down what is arguably the most confusing chapter ever written throughout the New Testament—and a great topic for discussion in any house group!

Romans In A Nutshell:

  • Written by the apostle Paul whilst in Corinth between 50 – 58 AD to the Roman Christian community.
  • Paul re-iterates his message that the Gospel is “power of God unto salvation for those who believe”.
  • He warns of dire consequences for those who depart from his teaching of Faith and Grace through the Gospel message, and resort once more to living under the Jewish ‘Law’ to try and please God.

if you think you know better than Theologians, why are you on a website where only 2 people believe you?
That is because he is a part of the remnant. The same remnant that Jesus was a part of. The remnant are those that have been revealed by the Holy Spirit, the knowledge of Jesus finished work on the cross, and the understanding of the doctrine that Jesus taught.

Theologians are just men, like yourself, voicing his interpretation of the scriptures, which teach those that will read his literature to believe in false doctrines.

Scripture proves scripture, and should be the only source of gleaning the truths in God's word by the revelation of the Holy Spirit.

If you are judging the majority (large congregations) as being the visible bride of Christ, you are wrong. The visible bride of Christ has never been a large group, and will never be.

here's an excellent viewpoint from one of the Theologians i tend to use as example:

Peter's point is that God chose those whom He foreknew without regard for anything good or bad in them because He foresaw that they would believe in Him.

Chosen literally means before the Earth was Created, God already knew who would Believe in Him.

hahaha, it literally has nothing to do with God creating people for Hell and Heaven. it factually means, God knew we would Believe in Him and who would not so we are called the Chosen. so we theoretically speaking here, the CHOSEN, are the ONES WHO WERE ALWAYS GOING TO BELIEVE IN HIM!

so we are the CHOSEN because we were always going to Believe anyways!

Psalms 53:2-3 explains what God saw by his foreknowledge; God looked down from heaven on the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God. Every one of them is gone gack, they are altogether become filthy, there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

This is why in Eph 1:4 that he choose a portion of those that did not seek him, and, verse 5, gave them to Jesus to adopt as his children. these are the same ones that Jesus died for on the cross (John 6:39).

Jesus calls His Sheep only Jn 10 and they hear His voice and follow Him, they are the few that are chosen.
Respectfully, I might see the amount of the sheep differently than you do. I believe the scriptures to teach that God's sheep are numbered as the sand in the seashore, and the stars in the sky (Heb 11:11-12)

The many called to be adopted as God's children are all of the elect. The few that are chosen, are those of the elect that The Holy Spirit has revealed the knowledge of Christ's finished work on the cross. Those that have this knowledge, are instructed to teach the rest of God's elect (the lost sheep of the house of Israel - Matt 10:5-6) the good news of the knowledge they have received, so that they may be converted from relying upon the old letter of the law, and understand what Jesus accomplished for them on the cross.

The curse of the law is not the knowlegde of right and wrong. The curse is death for those that transgress it.
It you never transgressed the the law, you would not be cursed.

True God needs to be just, but is merciful also.

It is the plan of salvation that enables justice and mercy to be given. They Perfectly meets at the cross.
Few are saved because they do not accept salvation that Jesus offers. God has done all to save everyone but will not force people to accept and love Him.
Rom 2: 14-15 For when the Gentiles, who have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves; Who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the meanwhile accusing or else excusing one another
That is why when a person is born again He gets perfected by the Holy Spirit, who changes his heart by filling it with divine love so that all his thoughts and actions are motivated by love, thus obeying the Spirit of the Law.
Rom 3: 19-20 Now we know that whatever things the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore, by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in His sight; for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
After eating the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they became aware of their sin and were then under the law. There is nothing that man can do to be justified in His eyes.
Gen 5: 3 And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begot a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth.
Seth inherits his parents knowledge of good and evil.
Romans 4: 15 Because the law worketh wrath; for where no law is, there is no transgression.
The law is a curse because it worketh wrath .
Gal 3: 10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, Cursed is everyone that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.
If you break one law, you have broken them all. If you think you are going to heaven because you obey God's commandments , you are doomed to failure and will be judged by the law. That is the curse. We cannot keep the letter of the law. Our sins are erased through Jesus Christ and we are perfected when God's Holy Spirit fills our hearts with divine love for God and man. That is how we are able to obey the commandments, when love is in our hearts.

Is there really a conflict though? Wouldn't those numbered like sands on the seashore be the sheep that could hear his voice?

Are those in Hebrews 11 Jews? Or Gentiles? Abraham being Gentile, and had offered his only son to sacrifice at God's behest. And he complied as a matter of trust and faith in the Father.

Making him the Father of all nations, as was his wife mother of all nations.

''Abraham being primogenitor of the 12 tribes of Israel through his son, Isaac.''

God's message beginning to end is manifest as perfect when taken in context and understood that way.
Scripture, God's love letter to the world, proves itself in such ways.

When God tells us the natural carnal mind of people who are first born separated from God being in this mortal coil, and destined to be dead to righteousness due to our sinful nature, are not able to understand the voice of the Holy Spirit, if we believe in God do we believe that what he told us?

If God tells us that inability to understand is not abated, changed, so that we can understand God's message unless or until his Spirit enters into us? So that we are then able to understand those things of the Spirit because they are Spiritually discerned, do we believe God's words if we believe in God?

Or do we believe we who are spiritually dead and separated from God due to our fallen human nature let that fallen ego centric nature lead us to believe we can freely choose to change that birth defect?

Given the fate of the fallen, if we believe in that, would we freely choose to reject being saved from that? When all we'd have to do is say, ''I believe in Jesus?''

Could that fallen carnal dead in our sins [Ephesians 2] choice made by that carnal egocentric narcissistic mind wanting to avoid punishment for the damned save us? Would that scroll our name into the Book of Eternal Life 📖 that God wrote before God created the 🌎 world?

The carnal natural mind thinks itself god. And were born in that cerebral sphere first.
We choose everyday for our life.
Romans 8:7 For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot.

Now we think we can choose and overcome what God said of our natural mind being unable to comprehend his voice?
We believe the god of our ego when it leads us to believe we can overcome God's creation by our choice?

1 Corinthians 2:13And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual.14.The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.

and Peter explains this in a very clear and understandable viewpoint that CHOSEN means those who would Believe in God. you act like God made or forced a select people to believe in Him. when all along there were people going to always Believe in Him because THEY WANTED TO ON THEIR OWN ACCOUNT ONCE THEY WERE INTRODUCED TO GOD.
James 3
Wisdom from Above 13 Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom. 14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. 15 This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. 16 For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice. 17 But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. 18 And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

Jude 1
Judgment on False Teachers 3 Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints. 4 For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. 5 Now I want to remind you, although you once fully knew it, that Jesus, who saved[c] a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe.

Believe God's words. Not the natural man who insists thst mind that is by nature is fallen and corrupt can in that condition understand holy language from God.
God says it cannot. God is not a man with a fallen human nature that he would lie.

John 6:44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day.
