This was the song featured with Al Green doing the cover on the last movie we watched together. The Book of Eli.

Since we're talking about Olivia Newton John I'll post her and Andy too. This was the first time I've heard them sing this. Maybe someone else will like it too.

I loved Book of Eli. One of Denzel Washington's best movies ever. What a twist at the end.
Some movies you can figure out that's going to happen before it does. I love twists that you never see coming.

I "discovered" her in Grease with John Travolta and followed her to Xanadu with Cliff Richard. It didn't seem like I was only 11 at the time. Suddenly might be my favorite of all time. I greatly admired her wholesome image and interest dropped off when she 'got physical'. However, that was about the time I made over like Sandy Olsson -you're the one that I want style.

Back when her song, let's get physical, was a new release it was banned by some stations for being too risque.

Consider songs now in comparison, and their accompanying videos, that make that oldie sound tame.

I had to watch it again to really make sure that his character was blind. It blew me away.

He was handed a script. Then
Denzel said that he wasn't going to do just another apocalyptic action movie. If he was going to star in it, he would have to add the Biblical theme. They let it go his way, totally unlike the secular movie industry. I don't know how much of it he wrote or if he got screenplay credit. It was unlike any secular script I can remember though.

My Dad got saved shortly before we watched that movie together.

Consider this: I was born a few years AFTER this song came out, so when I heard it I had no idea what it was saying (literally and hidden). I've never intentionally gone looking to listen to it, maybe hear it on the radio from time to time. Might've seen the video when I was little and my older siblings were watching mtv.

My reaction reading this just now:

:eek: You mean that song's NOT about exercise and p.e/gym class????

then I read the lyrics and :oops:

I read she was hesitant in accepting the role of Sandy, which I think displays a bashful core personality. And left open that she was only singing of exercising in "Lets' Get Physical". There's not even the least hint of double entendre these days.
