Hi Blackson,

to our own modern ears this sounds disrespectful, but in 1st century Palestine it was not disrespectful. In fact, Christ showed great respect towards women as against the cultural backdrop.
Indeed, some argue that it's more accurately translated as "dear woman" -vs- "woman"

I guess the muslims are just trying to be annoying..

I call my mother by her name sometimes, and we laugh about it!. There is really no big deal about calling her Woman. Except they just want to put up silly arguements

Ahh! Got it.

In that case, there's even more help from Mary in evangelizing to the Muslims. Remember, Islam recognizes that Mary was a virgin when she gave birth to Jesus. A symbol of Christ's importance. Not even Mohammed came from a virgin mother. Christ's birth is unique in all recorded history.
