The news says that the DOJ is against the releasing of the affidavit that was used for the probable cause for the warrant saying it could compromise their investigation.

What? They said they had 12 Whitehouse staffers as witnesses and they have been investigating for 18 months.

If you say the search warrant was simply part of an investigation it feeds the narrative that this was a fishing exercise. Don't say that, if you say that it will galvanize the Republicans and strengthen the narrative that the DOJ has been weaponized against Republicans. This will split the country in two.

No what we need right now to unite the country is transparency. Once you do something public like raid the President's house it is too late to be "protecting the integrity of the investigation", now it is time to arrest the president, charge him, and let's hear the probably cause.

The Democrats have Midterms in less than three months. They need this for their campaign ads. If you refuse to do this it will make it look like this is a big bluff. Five years ago that worked with Mueller, but now only the most gullible and brain dead will still fall for that.

This is what I am worried about, if they don't go ahead and charge him with the crime it just looks like a bunch of criminals in the FBI and DOJ are going after Trump. It seems to me that you have 12 eyewitnesses who worked in the Whitehouse, you have spent 18 months on this investigation making sure you got it right, and you have now played your hand with this raid. You have the documents, you have the probable cause, you have the witnesses, now charge him and let's go to court.

I am reminded of the movie Goodfellas, once they raided and searched his house they led him out in handcuffs. CBS news reported that the FBI did not take the passports and that it was a lie being disseminated by Trump. Now we learn that the FBI did take the passports and just returned them. CBS has to fire some people, how do you slander people telling the truth, and spread a lie like that?

I think it is safe to conclude, even before we learn what if anything will come of this raid, that this was one of the most inept raids, a complete embarrassment to the FBI and DOJ.

1. Judge recused themself in a trial between Trump and Clinton but doesn't recuse themself on signing this warrant?

2. FBI agents involved in this raid were involved in Russiagate collusion hoax making everything seized in the raid fruit of the poisoned tree.

3. The Whitehouse denied having anything to do with it making it appear that the FBI had gone rogue.

4. Days later Merrick Garland admits he approved this and yet never advised Biden.

5. He claims to be transparent while refusing to give the details.

6. When a copy of the warrant is made public it supports the theory that this was a fishing trip.

7. Now the DOJ is trying to prevent the affidavit being made public even though Trump has asked that it be made public.

8. Today the DOJ admits they violated Trump's constitutional rights by taking his passport which was not listed in the warrant.

I don't know that raiding the house was illegal. It was unprecedented, it appears to be evil, it appears to be weaponizing the DOJ to go after your political opponents, and the Bible says we should avoid the appearance of evil.

I would argue that the first step in fixing this is to fire everyone who violated the law in taking anything that was not on the warrant. That means if someone gave the orders to take it they need to be fired as well.

Second, Merrick Garland has two options, either he resigns in shame or he holds a complete press conference where he answers every question the media asks including making the affidavit public and explaining what the probable cause was. Your investigation has already been compromised. You can never bring anything taken in that raid into court because the judge was compromised, the agents were compromised, and the DOJ has publicly admitted they violated his constitutional rights.

I'm not making any judgement whatsoever, so I don't know why you're talking about judgement. But I am upholding God's Word where He tells us explicitly that He will mete out His Justice through earthly governmental authority which are His Ministers of Justice. I'm sorry that you are averse to His Word on that issue, as that does not preclude Trump (or anyone) from salvation although they might be punished under earthly law. (For example, you can be saved and forgiven of your sins but you still would have to pay a speeding ticket if you speed and God's ministers catch you.) Why are you against God's Word on this?
