Very strange that a Christian radio show would put forward this saying..
Don't they know that every word we speak is known by the LORD.. Every thought and every word we ever think and say is heard by Someone... The LORD knows all and nothing is unknown to Him..
Perhaps the topic was gossip? or cussing? and a rephrasing of this statement would be, "Don't say something if there's someone you don't want to hear it?" or maybe the topic is 'God hears, and is listening'?
Idk, I might do better translating if I could hear the inflections in the voice?
13 WHOEVER WILL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD will be saved.
14 How then shall they call upon Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.
Whoops, the last sentence in Romans 10:14 should have been highlighted in bold as well (see above), "And how shall they hear without a preacher?"
It was too late to edit it once I noticed it. Sorry about that!!
Reminds me of the famous quote, often attributed to many different authors, where an editor went directly to an author and asked him what he meant by a certain phrase he wrote.
"My good friend,” said he, “when I wrote that passage, God and I knew what it meant. It is possible that God knows it still; but as for me, I have totally forgotten.”
