Why do you persist in these silly questions?

I've NEVER EVER said anything about "dead souls" and reject the idea that a soul will die. So you may stop trying to put words into my mouth.

And I NEVER EVER said there are dead bodies in Hades rather than the grave.
You just wrote to me Matthew 10's hell is Hades not the lake of fire.
The Greek word is Hades. That is NOT the LOF.

You just wrote to me that God will destroy both soul and body in Hades
You REALLY DO have a reading problem. I SAID I NEVER EVER said that God WILL do that.

In fact, there are NO verses that say that God will.

Does that not mean dead bodies are going to Hades?
Bad question. Read my responses and reply properly about what I believe and post.

Does hell have a double meaning there? Or are you just double minded. 🤣
Hell does not have a double meaning, and your second question is stupid.

Matthew 10:28
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
One more time, do you think that "able to" means "will"?

Why won't you answer my question?

Do you think that the bodies and souls won't be united?
I think what the Bible says. Read Ezekiel 37:1-14
You haven't convinced me yet.

If the souls of men are alive after death there is no reason to breathe into the flesh of those men.
<sigh>

"the flesh" refers to the BODY. God breathed into the physical body of Adam the breath of life in Gen 2:7.

There is no verse that describes breathing into the soul.

Why do you think there is?

It's a waste of your time trying to gaslight me. I'm not listening to you. In
my opinion your kind are no different than the Serpent who told Eve; "You
shall not die".

I agree with God when He said “ you will die.” You seem confused about what I believe. Aren’t you the one agreeing with the serpent though? You’ve spent a considerable amount of time saying people will be alive in hell.

Your opinion is so biased you have no idea. When John used the specific time frame of "day and night" and then "for ever and ever" he surely WAS being quite literal. But that goes against your opinions, so you just reject it.

When "day and night" are included, it IS literal, obviously.
Nonsense. I agree with the Bible. You’re the one at odds with it.

“And there is no spiritual or moral lesson for any living person to follow in the account of Laz and the rich man”

If you had been reading the long line of context, you would have understood this better.

PeacefulWarrior was being rhetorical.

An individual from your crowd is the problem; own it.

I agree with God when He said “ you will die.”
Everybody agrees that God said that.

You seem confused about what I believe.
You seem confused about what God meant. I explained it. The phrase in the original is "in the day that you eat of it, DYING, you shall die.

There are 2 deaths there. The first one is the relatively long process of death by aging. The second one is the IMMEDIATE separation from God due to sin. That is spiritual death.

I agree with the Bible and disagree with your souls ceasing to exist idea.

You have NO proof that souls will cease to exist in the LOF. The Bible says the punishment will be eternal. If souls cease to exist, that means they aren't there any more. Nothing to experience, such as punishment.

Your idea of "eternal punishment" is to exist no longer. As if that is even a punishment. It CAN'T be if you ain't there to be punished.

Atheists are counting on ceasing to exist when they die. They deny the existence of God, and any kind of afterlife.

One of runner's problems is that he doesn't know HOW to answer the question about what his so-called "parable" about Laz and the rich man teaches as either a spiritual or moral lesson. He's been asked often enough.

My view of punishment is death because that’s what the Bible says from Genesis to Revelation. You’re missing the forest for a single tree by focusing on a single verse that applies to three persons.

That's what ECTers say. They talk as if the soul of man is inherently immortal against the very words of Scripture.

Hell will be cast into the lake of fire where it will be destroyed so no one will be in hell forever. Amazing how pervasive your false doctrine is.

Fortunately you’re in a minority of people who can’t understand otherwise.

Most people seem to be quite open to the word of God once they’re shown what it says since the majority of church-goers seem to be quite ignorant of the Bible. You don’t have that excuse.

So you believe dead bodies had the "possibility" of being thrown into Hades with their alive souls?
The fact that God is able to means that it isn’t an idle threat. We’re supposed to fear God for that very reason. If God won’t do it then there’s nothing to fear.

God will destroy soul and body and hell because that’s simply the alternative to living forever. That’s why Jesus said anything about it at all. It’s also why it’s repeated again and again in the NT by the various writers.

Matthew 10:28
28Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Instead, fear the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

Destroy do not mean cease to exist
matt 25:46 say eternal punishment, mean in hell forever

10 years in prison mean 10 years stay on prison

eternal punishment in hell mean stay in hell forever, not cease to exist
you can not put non existing entity in to prison

"the flesh" refers to the BODY. God breathed into the physical body of Adam the breath of life in Gen 2:7.

There is no verse that describes breathing into the soul.

Why do you think there is?
What's the breath of life?
