Blasphemy Against the Holy Ghost
Matthew 12:31,32 Mark 3:28 Luke 12:10 This sin was committed by the Pharisees
when they, in violation of their own convictions, willfully and maliciously ascribed
the miracles of the Son of God and the work of the Holy Spirit to the evil one. source
Lets start with Matthew 12:31&32What is blasphemy against the Holy Ghost?
What is blasphemy against the Holy Ghost?
What is blasphemy against the Holy Ghost?
Glad you introduced 'denominational' doctrine but it is very puzzling for me in trying to determine if I should even attend any physical assembly of 'believers'.Lets start with Matthew 12:31&32
31. Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. 32. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
The Pharisees could not have committed this sin. They committed a lot but not this one.
Please get your bible out and turn with me to Luke 21. and we will figure this out together.
Here we have Jesus and some of the disciples leaving the temple; unlike Mark 13 and Matthew 24 it does not say they went to the Mt of Olives they may have this may or may not have taken place at the same time. All 3 have similar accounts. Same time different time you decide it is the message we want to look at.
Verse 7. And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?
They wanted Jesus to tell them about the sings of His second coming and the end of the world.
Verse 8. And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I amChrist; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.
We need to take heed to this same message today. We ave a church on almost every corner and everyone seams to have a different doctrine, a different truth. Jesus told them and He is telling us today DO NOT be deceived. Listen to My word and My word only.
Verse 9. But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.
It is not time yet.
Verse 10. But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by. 11. And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
We are getting closer.
Verse 12. But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.
Before verses 10 and 11 something else is going to take place. What is a synagogue? It is a church it was the type church Jesus went to and taught in. They the “religious people, some your own kin, mother, father, brother, sister”
Verse 13. And it shall turn to you for a testimony.
What are you going to give testimony to? It told us in the last verse For my Name's sake. A testimony before everyone about Jesus.
Verse 14.Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: 15. For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.
When this happens to you; you are not to thank about what you are going to say. Why the Holy Spirit is going to take over and do all the talking and everyone of those Nay Sayers will be put in there place. They will not ave an answer to what you are going to say. Why? The Holy Spirit is the one doing the talking.
Verse 16.And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.
Put to death or better said brought to death. Who is death Hebrews 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
Verse 17.And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.
You do not have to worry about it
Verse18.But there shall not an hair of your head perish. Verse 19.In your patience possess ye your souls.
Verse 14.Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: 15. For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.
This is the unforgivable sin. Jesus wants to speak through you to put Satan, the Antichrist and those working with him in there place. He also wants to speak through you to reach as many people as He can Just as on the day of Pentecost. If you refuse and start to speak your own words and not allow the Holy Spirit to do the talking that is unforgivable. It is like you telling Jesus to take a back seat you got this. Do I thank anyone is going to commit that sin? NO. Those that Jesus puts in that place, gives that honor to I do not thank they will let Him down.
Again you do not have a thing to worry about what does verse 18 say But there shall not a hair of your head parish.
Verse 19 In your patience possess ye your souls. By waiting on the Holy Spirit and allowing Him to speak through you; You possess, you keep your soul.
The Pharisees during the time of Jesus could not have committed the unpardonable sin. They did not have the Holy Spirit trying to speak through them so they could not prevent it.
These posts have me in a 'quandary' ( state of perplexity or uncertainty over what to do in a difficult situation. ) I wish this site an emoji for 'quandary'.I see blasphemy against the Holy Ghost as being no different from being unsaved generally. Jesus comes, and the gospel is given (and that is by the Holy Ghost) but some do not believe. These are the unsaved and they have commited blasphemy against the Holy Ghost by not believing the gospel, not believing Jesus nor in Jesus. Those who believe the gospel have passed from death to life. They are the saved of the Lord.
Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is crediting what has been done by Him to Satan. The Pharisees were the most guilty.Lets start with Matthew 12:31&32

Would you like to share what the situation is?These posts have me in a 'quandary' ( state of perplexity or uncertainty over what to do in a difficult situation. ) I wish this site an emoji for 'quandary'.
I now claim since 25 May 2021, Jesus Christ as my Savior and recognize Him as the 'Son of God', the 'Lamb of God', and find in the NT book the Gospel of John that we pray for 'guidance from the Holy Spirit'. I feel I get that guidance but still sometime it seems my faith is based on what I refer to as inexplicable events in my life and just this 25th day of Sept. 2022 I had a two hour conversation with a teacher of that seems to be very well versed in the KJV. This teacher and I have been communicating for possibly 2yrs. Our communication started when I called him to ask about Acts 15:14 (((((Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name. 15 And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written, 16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: 17 That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things. )))) Now I was trying to determine who are 'Christians' at the time of my first communication with this teacher. In my mind there would be a certain group of people that would be true believers. Possibly the Amish or maybe doctors since they seem to be doing 'miraculous' works. During the course of my communications with the teacher he totally dismissed the inexplicable event which I related to him as my 'sole' basis for my faith at that time. It seems that senility is kicking in on me as this may have nothing to do with blasphemy since I feel that the inexplicable experiences I have had are to do with this verse Hebrews 1:14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation? I may have completely bored or lost you with all this.Would you like to share what the situation is?

There is an event which happened when I was 15 yrs old and is quite a lengthy story and I would need write it offline in my open office program because I often fumble on my keyboard and accidently erase my work so if you think it appropriate I will go offline and write it up but need a break here also so would be some time. Actually had maybe four inexplicable events. Age 9?, 14?, 15? and ?..Could you clarify what these inexplicable events were?
