I really enjoy reading people’s testimonies, but I just realized that I haven't posted any for myself…so here it is.
I’ve come to believe that my life is not my own for living but is mainly to bring glory to God. From all the things He’s brought me through or done through me, I shall give Him the glory. Ultimately those things, whether good or bad, have been made to refine my knowledge, faith, and trust in Him. I simply must testify on some of the awesome things He's done in my life.
A little background. I grew up in a Semi-Christian home with two sisters and one brother. My dad is a born again believer in Christ and my mom not so much.
One of the first big miracles He did in my life was bring my family back together again. My parents separated when I was 8 years old (girls/boys in separate households). It was during this time where I began to learn the gospel message and how to pray effectively. I remembered every night when we went to bed my dad, brother, and I were made to say prayer together before going to sleep. As a child I prayed desperately to God hoping to be a family again. It was during these years that I found comfort in prayer and grew to love worship and praise; (years later this would play a huge role in my redemption to Christ).
There were a lot of tears and disappointments but after about 3 years apart the Lord finally brought my family back together! In this I learned patience in prayer, praying from the heart, and persistence in prayer. I still remember those days even till this one. Looking back I believe these were the most impactful years of my life.
In all my childhood there was no greater joy!
