Dear Friends, when all is said and done, and history ends, and Christ Returns, what % of humanity do you think He will recognize as His Sheep, and say to them: "Come, ye blessed of my Father, possess you the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35For I was hungry, and you gave me to eat: I was thirsty, and you gave me to drink: I was a stranger, and you took me in: 36Naked, and you covered me: sick, and you visited me: I was in prison, and you came to me." (Mat 25:34-36)? Do you think, e.g. it will be less than 10%, 10-30% etc?

Two Verses to Consider:

Mat 7:14 "How narrow is the gate, and strait is the way that leadeth to life: and few there are that find it!"

Rev 7:9-10: "After this I saw a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and tribes, and peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne, and in sight of the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands: 10And they cried with a loud voice, saying: Salvation to our God, who sitteth upon the throne and to the Lamb."

These two verses seem to be saying different things. One says only few find the way to life. Another say a great multitude, which no man could number, and this taken from all nations, all tribes, all peoples, all tongues, will finally be saved. So, how would you understand both of them together? Any thoughts on that?

God Bless.

Hi Saul to Paul.

If you mean to say it will be very small, as only a very few win the lottery, any thoughts on how that is reconciliable with what the Apostle John sees in Heaven in the Book of Revelation: "Rev 7:9-10: "After this I saw a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and tribes, and peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne, and in sight of the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands: 10And they cried with a loud voice, saying: Salvation to our God, who sitteth upon the throne and to the Lamb." The verse is saying that, finally, a great multitude from every nation, from every tribe, from every people, and from every tongue, will be saved, clothed in white robes and sing praise before the Throne of God, and the Lamb. Thoughts on that?

God Bless.

One way to reconcile the verses is the great commission. Just because few were finding the path doesn't mean that will always be the case. As the gospel is spread to all the world quite naturally more should come to find it.

I believe a great multitude has won the lottery.

What percentage will be saved? I don't know, it doesn't concern me; there are more important things to concern myself with.

That's a great explanation, thanks. I hadn't thought of that and it makes sense.

I believe a great multitude has won the lottery.
Well, the below link says a person's odds of winning a lottery are very small: "No matter which game you play, you have some pretty long odds. For example, the odds of claiming the jackpot in a Powerball drawing are 1 in 292.2 million." https://www.investopedia.com/managing-wealth/worth-playing-lottery/ So I can't see how Salvation is comparable with that, unless you want to say the odds or the number of the saved really are that few. Do you?

Imo, after being saved by Grace from sin, we should try our best to help save as many souls as possible, so that a "great multitude" can indeed be saved before Time's End. Reinhard Bonnke used to say: "Jesus saves sinners, to save sinners".

He meant that, e.g. after the woman at the well was saved, soon after, she led very many others to Christ, John 4:"Many Samaritans Believe: 39 Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.” 40 So when the Samaritans came to him, they urged him to stay with them, and he stayed two days. 41 And because of his words many more became believers."

So yes, ultimately, the number is a mystery to us, and known with certainty to God alone, and it will be disclosed at the Last Judgment, but till then, let's all pray and work that hopefully as many souls will be saved as possible.

God Bless.

Well God wants all people saved ----it is us who don't want to be saved and who keep our hearts far from Him -----God is forever pulling on our hearts to be drawn to Him ------we just don't want to acknowledge His Drawing ----as we have fee will to choose to act on that Drawing from Him or resist it ---many choose to resist it ----

God is going to bring the disasters of all disasters to this earth for 7 years to try and get all unbelievers remaining here during the tribulation to accept Him ---Some will and some won't accept His free Gift of Salvation -----so just How many will willingly accept Him and be saved is not for us to know ----only God knows the number -----It will be a sad judgment day for the ones who refuse to come to Him in their end ----

And they can only blame themselves for their wrong Choice -------so sad -----

But there will be one who will not be sad but will rejoice that he kept your soul on his side ----

And that of course is Satan himself -----who will be laughing all the way to his soul bank to deposit the souls who rejected God -----

I Won a Percent

1 Corinthians 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.
