putting blood on the post. going through the red sea, eating manna, etc etc is no different than being circumcised. Going to the temple. Praying, being baptized etc etc.

Your not saved because you have done a physical work.

Your saved because you HAD FAITH.,

Like Abraham, Moses had true saving faith.

the other people may have done all those works. but they lack saving faith. proven by the fact they showed a lack of faith in god every time something happened to them. All they wanted to do is go back to Egypt. they were mad Moses got them to leave to die.
So these unsaved people who followed Moses into the wilderness are examples to us who are genuine believers with faith?

Let me ask you.

is a person who says they believe in God. maybe said a sinners prayer, Goes to church, Prays in church. gives to the church, gets baptized. But from the time they so called prayed, never changed their personal lives. Continues to show a lack of faith in God when struggles happen. Does not change their sin habits, but continues in all sorts of sin, Gives excuses as to why they do not want to stop sin, Blames God for their troubles. etc etc.

are these people saved?
I have answered these questions already. It is quite insulting that you would ask me again after I already answered this same question from you and was ridiculed by you.

I never said anyone was saved back when the put the blood on the doorpost. So why would you claim OSAS thinks this (I do nto speak for freegrace2, he has some serious issues with many of his beliefs)

moses did not enter as punishment for 1 sin (he strick the rock the second time)

the rest did not enter his rest.. because they continually lacked faith in God in everything they did. you can not compair the 2....
I thought the minute you had faith in the Lord's redeeming blood you were saved. So are you now saying it takes 40 years of following the Lord before you have faith?

they are examples of what NOT TO DO

What did the scripture say about them, did they enter his rest or not? WHY??

You keep telling me they were saved. then lost their salvation.

if anything is insulting it is claiming one thing. then when you are questioning denying you claimed it to begin with

when did they have faith in the redeeming blood?

what kind of faith is so great a few days later you yell at moses for leading them out only to die at the red sea??

Do you even comprehend what true faith is? I am not seeing that you do..

Ex 14: 10 And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians marched after them. So they were very afraid, and the children of Israel cried out to the Lord. 11 Then they said to Moses, “Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you so dealt with us, to bring us up out of Egypt? 12 Is this not the word that we told you in Egypt, saying, ‘Let us alone that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than that we should die in the wilderness.”

these people had saving faith?????? WHAT?????? they did not even want to leave!!!!

Nope, you haven't been listening to anything I have said, but right now I'm simply trying to get a handle on this amazing doctrine of yours.

Once again, you have not listened to anything I have said. At the moment I am simply trying to get a clear understanding of what you are saying.

I think I'd like to read up on this, can you direct me to the book or ministry which says that those who complained in the wilderness were not saved, but only Moses and the two that entered the promised land. Thanks.

We are not under law we are under grace.

If obedience is required to be saved, then perfection is the standard.

Thats why no one could be saved by the law. because no one can meet Gods standard.

Yes we have free will. we also have the flesh. thats why we will never be sinless..
So obedience is not required, but murmuring and complaining, that is the evidence of someone who isn't saved?

this makes no sense.. Since when is the GIFT of salvation something I must do?
Hold on a second, you said that Moses was saved because he allowed God to work through him, now you say there is nothing that you must do? So tell us again why 1,999,997 people who came out of Egypt were not saved? Why didn't they get this gift?

Get an example on what?

Thet just because people do a few works does not mean they were saved?

That people who continually show they lack faith in anything are not saved?

There is not much to it. If your not saved, your not saved

I understand you need them to be saved, That does not make them saved

What good is it if a person claims to have faith. But they do not trust God in anything?

remember, these people a day after they left told moses he should have left them there they did not want to leave.

My friend, Obedience is required. If you want to save yourself

thats not the issue. The issue is, have you met Gods standard..

sadly I feel to many people believe they have..

No

I said moses was saved because HE HAD TRUE FAITH.

My friend, stop telling me I said things I have never said.

I said moses PROVED his faiht was real by his continual works of faith.. like Abraham did.

Did I say it was not?

why is this so hard for you to comprehend?

baptism is a figure. Does that mean everyone who is baptised is saved?

Circumcision was a figure, does that mean everyone who is circumcised is saved

Animal sacrifice is a figure. Does that mean every person, and every priest and every high priest that offers sacrifice is saved?

You are stuck on works my friend.. You seemed to be confused about what true faith is..

OK, so you are saying that "once saved always saved" can refer to those whose bodies were strewn about in the wilderness?
Yes. Why would physical death have any relevance to a person's state, whether saved or lost?

1Corinthians 10:5 Nevertheless, God was not well-pleased with most of them, for they were scattered along the ground in the wilderness [because their lack of self-control led to disobedience which led to death]. (Amplified version)
This is an example of God's divine discipline, which can be physical death.

1 Cor 11:30 - That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep.

1 or 5:5 - hand this man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh (physical death by the hand of Satan), so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord.

Acts 5 - Ananias and Saphhira

etc.

was moses one of the people who that passage was spoken of?

Moses allowed God to work through him did he not? Where do you see Moses showed a lack of faith?
From #1550-

Heb 3-
16 Who were they who heard and rebelled? Were they not all those Moses led out of Egypt?
17 And with whom was he angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies perished in the wilderness?
18 And to whom did God swear that they would never enter his rest if not to those who disobeyed?
19 So we see that they were not able to enter, because of their unbelief.

v.19 applies to Moses just as much as to the rest.

Numbers 14:29 - In this wilderness your bodies will fall—every one of you twenty years old or more who was counted in the census and who has grumbled against me.

Numbers 20:12 - But the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this community into the land I give them.”

Deut 32:51 - This is because both of you broke faith with me in the presence of the Israelites at the waters of Meribah Kadesh in the Desert of Zin and because you did not uphold my holiness among the Israelites. Moses' and Aaron's indictment!

Moses didn't enter the land because of his "unbelief", just as Heb 3:19 says.

yep they were saved.

they trusted God so much they complained, made graven images, and continually showed their lack of faith.

shaking my head!!
Be careful that it not fall off.

Oh, and while you are being careful as you shake your head, please explain how Paul could say they drank from the spiritual rock that was Christ, AND that he described them as "examples" to warn us.

How can unbelievers be any kind of example to believers. Apples and cauliflower.

i'm going to hazard a guess that if anyone else is reading all your posts they too are confused. You are a very eloquent author of confusion. Maybe instead of short snippets just give us the 500 word paragraph of what salvation is and isn't.

Why say that those who endure to the end will be saved? If one cannot forfeit their salvation, why didn't He say "But all who have prayed the sinners prayer will be saved?"
Because it is a true statement, those who endure to the end will be saved, it doesn't say endure to the end to be saved, So it basically comes down to who are you trusting to get to heaven, Yourself or Jesus
