Words of wisdom from Erica Rhodes, a comedian I've been listening to on youtube:

"I always thought by the time I was thirty I would have a husband and kids and a house and all that. Now I feel like being single after thirty is like breaking even at a casino. You didn't win big, but you also didn't lose everything on a terrible bet."
That is debateable, since a woman has increased health risks during pregnancy and labour after 40, your really loosing an opportunity to have a family of your own, one of God's greatest blessing is children.

Why do you think he said to Adam and Eve be fruitful and multiply. Family is at the top of his list for blessings he gives people.

It's when the family doesn't unite under God as the head of the home that it falls apart and becomes a curse.

God can't bless you if he isn't part of the equation in the first place.

That last line in particular seems rather peculiar...

You believe single people are not in God's will?

I never said that, besides it was Paul who advised people who are single to be content with being single in the new testament. As for me, I hate being single so much I'd defend marriage to the death.

I realize that not everyone can relate to this, but assume many may... Even so... after being snake bit by this sort of scenario myself - Trying and praying to get to the point of looking back with a lens of love, compassion, understanding, acceptance and forgiveness as HE asks us too.. Just when I think I am getting closer - I find myself struggling to find complete closure as new information keeps coming in almost 6 years later that makes my butt hurt... Trying to look at the upside, striving to be a beacon...

LOL... think of it as a math problem where the odds simply worked in your favor...
I also hypothesize that the majority of Narcissists are drawn to other Narcissists so lets assume that covers ~70%
ie... That would mean that the remaining 30% of Narcissists are significantly LESS than the number of Intelligent, Resilient, Smart & Compassionate People that they are drawn too...
So, instead - I would think of it as a blessing that the Math simply worked in your favor... ;)

Now would be a great time to order a stuff crust deluxe pizza

When searching for deep and profound thoughts, exactly how far do you go before insanity sets in?

When an employment counselor is amazed and impressed by the skills and talents someone has going to waste being on social assistance, than what do you suppose God's plan is for that person?

If you knew you were garunteed to live to be 100 years old, what would you do with your time??

The only time I can think of that would NOT be a good time to order a stuffed crust pizza would be if you had a stomach virus and were puking a lot. That would be a waste of good pizza. Any other time is a good time for stuffed crust pizza.

When conjecture is built on other conjecture, deep and profound thoughts begin to stray into insanity. The best deep and profound thoughts are the purest, simple observations about reality. "Babies and politicians both need to be changed frequently - often for the same reason" is a wonderful example of a deep, profound thought that is solidly based on observation of reality. When philosophers try to construct elaborate chains of reasoning, "if this then that, and if that then maybe the other, but if the other then maybe this isn't really true after all" that is when they start convincing themselves that maybe none of us really exist.

God's plan may have nothing to do with the skills that impress the employment counselor. The employment counselor is impressed with skills that make money. Money is just a tool to be used. Of course... God also may be wanting that dude to get off his butt and get to work. That's between God and that person, and that person will answer for it if he is deliberately ignoring God.

If I knew I was going to live that long, I'd probably take better care of my health. It would really suck to know I'm going to live more than fifty years with a chronic health problem.

You can always save it for when your feeling better.

Interesting observation

Well believe me, she saw my resume, she saw all the trade tickets in my wallet, plus the boating license I bought for a guy who had no plans of hiring me.

Those trade tickets included Heavy equipment operator (bulldozer, excavator, road grader and back hoe), forklift, over head crane, working at heights, WHMIS, Work Place Saftey and Tool useage
Interesting
