This video, although long, gave me a broader understanding of evangelism and how to treat others of non-faith with humility and a sense you can learn from them, and leave the hard bitter conclusion that they are condemned to God. Yes we are to preach the gospel, its just how we do this, with pride or with humility is what is at issue.

Although I never deny the gospel message, I contact them as one human to another and perhaps the dialog will bring the non-believer to Jesus I believe in for salvation. (You can attract more flys with a teaspoon of honey than a gallon of gaul? What that means to me, is that love compels us to be loving and not condemning, its not our place!)

Let me add a caution: we never should give up our Biblical convictions and know what they are (know scriptures thoroughly): What we can gain from non-believers is what they believe and why. I can see in doing that it might be a possible way for us to peacefully introduce our Master’s truths. Be interested in them as people with ideas and beliefs, different from yours.

I think this was a very lovely and moving video... if we are not concerned with scripture, but we are instead concerned with being inoffensive in popular culture.

i see it more as witnessing without rancor. Behaving in a loving manner, treating them with respect.

Jesus knew the right approaches to people because He could see their hearts. Sometimes we can discern spirits and do the same, but for me not a lot of times.

Its a good idea not to be offensive with any culture or person, but more importantly, i think it’s more likely that we are more effective if we treat others like we would want to be treated, again with gentleness, concern for them as people and not in a hostile condemning way.
