Mary is blessed because she gave birth to Jesus. I would say she was the mother of God and not the Mother of God. You get the distinction? We don't call Jesus the son of Mary. We call Him the son of God.

He is also called the Son of David But we don't call David the father of God.

Mary does not have to be the mother of God, to be the mother of Jesus. She gave him his FLESH. His flesh DIED ON THE CROSS. it was no more. His Spirit (God) Which was before Mary, Before Abraham, Before Noah, Before Adam, Before creation, was risen with a NEW BODY, not bore by Mary. This same body we will get (if we are saved) when we are resurrected! Our old flesh Bore by our mothers) will pass away. Just like the flesh Mary Gave to Jesus did.

Your joking right? How can Mary be the spouse of the HS, when scripture calls all the church (including mary) the bride of Christ. Is mary commiting adutlry with Christ when they get married?

Mary is just the vessel of God as we everyone are to the God. the one who actually acts according to the words of God uses them as His vessels.

so we cant say that a vessel(human being) can be worshiped as God. if we do so then what is the difference between spiritual worship and idol worship. we know that the God is spirit and everyone should worship him with their whole spirit. so Jesus is the formation of a bit of God and now holy spirit is the medium. God is having trinity. and now of all the trinity HS existing for strengthening us.

there is no God other than our Lord and our King JESUS CHRIST that a whole universe should bow before. Right!

Actually they do use this as proof Mary did not have sex with Joseph. claiming if she did she would be committing adultery. So yes. I have heard this. even in here.

Well... according to Jewish rabbinical law at the time, she would.

1. Since when do we base our doctrinal truths on a law which was not even given or sanctioned by God (it was these Laws Christ purposely broke which pissed the jews off and helped them want to kill him.)

2. According to this same law. Mary was betrothed to Joseph before the HS even touched her. Meaning when the HS touched her she already committed adultery. And not only did she sin by doing this. But God sinned by doing this. so the same law you use to prove your point actually works against you.

3. Scripture states she was betrothed to Joseph. No place does it say she was betrothed or married to the HS. So we should not add to the word of God and say she was.

Scott, Mary is mother of the human side of Jesus not the divine. The parent of the the divine is the Father. This is the Son of God and Son of man, He is 100% both human and divine. But I believe Jesus is the Son of God (God the Son) which is the Lord!

Mark 6:3 calls Jesus the Son of Mary. He is also the Son of God, by the way. We do call Jesus both the Son of God, and the Son of Mary. Because the Bible calls Him both.

Agreed. Mary is the Mother of God, because Jesus is God. She's the Mother of the human nature of His Divinity. His Divinity is Incarnate in Jesus, so if you deny she's the Mother of God, you are saying that God was not incarnate in the human nature of Jesus. You separate out Jesus Christ into 2 separate persons: one human, the other Divine. We must protect the term Mother of God in order to protect and guard the Incarnate nature of God the Son: God is born in Mary. God the Son! Not the Father, or the Spirit.
