Do you think anyone in the information age doesn't know the name of Jesus?
Some sources say millions and/or billions have not heard the Name above all names, Jesus Christ.

One source says it is one third of all humans who have never heard of Jesus.

You can try to ask some people who cannot be Christians, whether they know Jesus, and how they know Jesus.
I tried. They said they knew, but they didn't know how. This is the case in China. I don't know if it will be the same for you.

I would make a distinction between "knowing of" and actually knowing.

Hearing/reading about someone cannot really be compared with knowing them personally.

Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.

Another distinction to make ;) ^ 2 Corinthians 7:10 ^

They are not really repenting, but they know something about Christianity.
My bad,I didn't explain it clearly.

Knowing something about Christianity is not knowing Jesus Christ.

I understood you the first time :D

God chose Israel, but not all Israel chose God.
So the Bible says, God chose you, not you chose God.
Regarding the "nation of Israel" where does it say this?

Jeremiah 29:11...For I know the plans I have for you...

Magenta is right in the fact that I do study from the KJV, and in the KJV it has "thoughts" instead of plan, but the Strong's definition of the Greek word "machashabah" does allow "plan" in an abstractly way.

The verses before verse 11, and the verses after verse 11, in verse 10 God says he will "cause them" (same as purpose them) to return to this place.

Verse 14 God says that he will bring them again unto the same place where he "caused" them to be carried away captive.

I would be interested to know if you could reveal to me a scripture that God has a plan for eternal salvation., with your understanding that I do not believe that all of the salvation (deliverance) scriptures are referencing eternal deliverance.

Since Exodus, God has chosen Israel . This is a long story, not because Israel better than others. It starts from the earth map. I don't want to start this topic here. But God choose them does not mean that all also choose God.
So the Bible says, God chose you, not you chose God.
The same of the Gentiles.

I haven't really approached the Bible from that perspective before or even given it any consideration so I would need to do some studying.
But I do agree with those who have said that it stands to reason that if history is under divine control and is unfolding according to a divine timetable then it by default is following a divine plan.

...Of God's Plan Of Salvation

“To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world
unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them;
and hath committed unto us The Word of Reconciliation.”
—II Cor. 5:19

A new teaching has recently been introduced into Grace circles that has caused a great deal of concern among the brethren, ourselves included. Essentially it is being proposed that the sins of the world were forgiven
when God reconciled the world to Himself...

...If this is true, then we are left with this conclusion: the terrorists who plotted and carried out the evil attack on the World Trade Center, where
nearly 3,000 souls perished, will never be judged for their sins against humanity...

...Universal Reconciliation/Universalism is the teaching that God is going
to save all the unsaved in the end, including Satan and his fallen host...

...upon further investigation it is actually a serious departure from what
The Scriptures teach on the subject...

Grace, Peace, and JOY!
God does love the world and did give His Son for all, but to neglect salvation is to reject salvation.

John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

If only we could get people to read their Bibles instead of listening to every strange voice.

And it does stand to reason that One Who purposes has plans.

Not even one time does the KJV have a scripture with the word "plan" in it. There are 36 scriptures that have the word "purpose" in them.

Plans have the ability to fail, but God's purposes do not fail. Isaiah 14:27 - For the Lord of Host hath purpossed, and who shall disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back.

Ron 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them that are the called, according to his purpose.

Rom 9:11 - (for the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God, according to election might stand, not of works, but of him who calleth)

Eph 1:11 - In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will.

I am very careful not to put much trust in what man says, until I check it out against what God says. I do not use any commentaries of men, and believe that the scripture's prove themselves when compared to each other.

I am in agreement with your last sentence. The scriptures prove themselves when compared to each other.

There are several scriptures indicating that there is a world that God hates. I think that I gave you a list of them earlier.

In this I think you do well and I've always appreciated the tone of the posts you have shared with me.
I do think that commentaries and other extra biblical sources can be helpful. Surely God has given revelation throughout history to men of each age and whether revelation comes from God Himself as first cause or through His saints, it remains revelation. And the Bereans have given us a model by which to test.

Agree. The Scripture uses the word "world" in a couple different ways. God loves the people of the world, but not the current system it is under.

I agree that individuals are chosen, but I haven't seen anything to say the "nation of Israel" was chosen.

What do you think that their destiny is?
Depends on what they do with the knowledge they do have. (Romans 1 covers this.) Many OT saints walked with God. They had neither church nor preacher.
