Flu season is here, and with it, all the ongoing muscle aches, headaches, and fever.

Flu season usually begins in November and lasts through March.

Influenza is the "flu virus" and unlike simple " cold" viruses, influenza is a major health problem, not just a nuisance.

The CDC (Center for Disease Control) estimates that 10-20% of Americans will come down with the flu, more than 100,000 will be hospitalized, and over 35,000 may succumb from the flu.
More than 80% of those deaths are in persons over the age 65, making it the 6th leading cause of death in that age group.

Influenza A and B are the most important strains of he virus.
The flu virus goes through multiple variations every year,
This requires that the flu vaccine be newly formulate each year, based on the strains of flu
that arose the previous year.

Prevention by getting a flu shot is recommended.

I never have had any shots except when a kid vaccines MMR and occasional Penicillin. But have chronic bronchitis and severe symptoms every year till leaving home when 18. Apparently psychosomatic. Living in So. Cal. had flu maybe 3 or 4 times and 2 times was really bad. Here in Chicago had flu maybe 2 times but not as bad. My neighbor lived in San Antonio and flu was real bad but Chicago mild. What is this all about I wonder. Further South seems worse.

I think I got the flu out of the way last night.
I'm 100% now. The Lord is good. He designed an immune system that destroys toxins, parasites, bacteria, and diseases. The doctors, and nurses play doctor and inject with toxins that disrupt the God given micro armies of killer T cells like a trojon horse.
I might get another pathogen this winter, but I just need to strengthen those armies and keep out the enemy forces..

You are very welcome!
Thank you for reminding me of that. I need to buy more.
When you mentioned your use of oil of oregano, I thought there was a chance you meant Dr Cass. He is known as the oregano Dr because he popularized it's use in the last couple decades. I've followed him for years and enjoy his teaching on herbs. He offers free teaching on various related subjects by email. If you went to the menu link, you'll already know about the videos posted, if you just want to sample the information.

One of our wonderful members posted this fantastic article, I have used it for 10+ years, I don't get sick, thank you Jesus, thank you Health and Happiness.
Some of these people that have schooling, degrees, should not be taken at face value. This guy was/is close to where I live and I may look closer at his work. There was also a Dr. Furman on PBS hawking his ideas. Also PBS years ago and still hawk Deepak Chopra and Ayurvedic remedies. Chopra made it big as a Hollywood guru. Why did Ingram die at 66? I had my last checkup 1989. Me and medicare folks get a good laugh when solicitation season happens.
Dr. Cass's obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Cass Ingram (Cassim Igram) on Saturday, March 12, 2022, in his Illinois home. He was 66 years old. A prolific author, researcher, lecturer, and popular media personality, Dr. Cass will be remembered for his passionate endorsement of wild medicinal herbs and spices and his belief in the healing power of wild harvested whole foods. His most lauded professional accomplishment was his extensive research and writing on the curative properties of oil of wild oregano, which earned him the moniker “Dr. Oregano” among patients, associates, and his legion of fans.

Dr. Cass graduated from the Des Moines School of Osteopathic Medicine in 1984, finishing at the top of his class in osteopathic manipulation and holistic medicine. He studied under several of the top osteopathic physicians of the day before beginning an apprenticeship with Dr. Maur, founder of the renowned Maur Preventive Medical Center in Zion, Illinois. Dr. Maur took young Dr. Cass under his wing and taught him how to start and run a thriving preventive care medical center.

In 1985, Dr. Cass started his first clinic in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. In 1986 he then opened the Arlington Preventive Medical Center in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Thousands of patients from all over the Midwest poured into the clinic. About this time, he started developing formulas for his own line of vitamins.

From that point on, Dr. Cass worked tirelessly to provide natural products and knowledge of those products to the world through his books, lectures and many hundreds of media appearances. He leaves to us a vast library of knowledge in book and video format that informs us how to safely use wild edible plants from the earth to live a joyous, healthy life.
Dr. Cass’s life's work will be cherished and he will be dearly missed by his three children; Surriah, Maryam and Ali Igram, as well as by his seven grandchildren; Jameela, Ayesha, Ibrahim, Muhammad, Yusuf, Maryam, and Maya, and by his five siblings; Hassan, Jamiely, Suehila, Abdullah, and Surria.

A service and burial with family and friends took place on Monday, March 14th at the Islamic Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. Dr. Cass was buried beside his mother and father Yusra and Charlie Igram. Dr. Cass has helped countless numbers of people during his lifetime, and he will be greatly missed by so many.

That would be nice, looks like he was muslim, we have many Muslim Igrams in C.R., I know we as Christian are charged with doing His will here, and when our work is done He takes us home.
I don't know how His plan is for muslims who are not saved.

This year the flu season started early and has been roughest on the infant and elder populations. It has put a few of our church members in the hospital. Most of them were dehydrated.

If you plan to get vaccinated, remember that it takes two to three weeks for your body to develop significant immunity after the shot.

That's what hurts the most. We don't usually know when someone will die. The English speaking Muslims are our foreign mission field right here. He spoke of Jesus, but sadly I didn't lead him to Christ. I had hoped for a good opportunity.

He has brought me in divine encounters with several to witness to and share. Many times we are to just bump them closer to Him.

I know of one Arizona church that went to Deerborn Michigan in the dead of winter to reach Muslims for Christ. The Lord made it a mild day and the younger generation were very receptive. I forget how many got saved.
Dearborn was the place that the news said there was Christian persecution by radicals. They didn't see any of that, but proved that Muslims can come to know Christ too.
