No....
I know who you are talking about and he doesn't work at Vanderbilt...he had a very minor role with the Hungarian lady who developed mRNA technology over a dozen years ago...and his role could have been performed by thousands of different people who are qualified....but he strong armed his way into that group and got a small portion of routine research on that project. He had nothing to do with the current Covid mRNA vaccine that Moderna produces. He had pretty much made such a nuisance of himself he is unwelcome on any research team anywhere. That's why he is pissed off and trying to get even like a spoiled brat who believes himself entitled.
Well, we all have our interpretations of the facts at hand. As far as I know, that doctor had more than a passing hand in what transpired, so there ya go.

Also, when the government doesn't try to strong-arm me into getting one of these shots, as it did during the height of the 'pandemic', for a virus with a <1.5% kill rate, I may start to think differently about it.

That particular PHD has never worked at Vanderbilt...if so I would have known him and met him. (My wife works there and I go to the parties)

The Government response and trying to force people into taking the vaccine without any proof whatsoever that it prevented spread or infection is a human rights violation....one that during Obama's administration that they tried to stop with FGM. (Biden was VP at that time too)

And basically the whole thing of the last 16 years is a mess because of politics and people voting for people who sound good but have no morals.

ALL of our political and community leaders let us down. Not a one of them did anything right. From the waffles to the teachers who knew that the Fall was going to see continued quarantines...ALL failed the people they claim to want to help

I agree with some of that. I would add that it was, in my opinion, not a failure, but the progressive bent to control the people.

It's not experimental

And in case nobody has noticed....I'm not being a parrot of any political party or having a political agenda.

Nor am I repeating conspiracy theory nonsense....

I'm actually telling the truth...which is a very rare commodity these days.

I'm getting my number from CDC data but everyone here is going to say CDC is lying so I guess it's moved but approximately 5 billion people have had at least one dose of the vaccine and there have been around 3 million reported deaths so that means the odds of the vaccine killing you are astronomically low

also from the c d c- covid is not high right now, yet the country has been having 10-16% more deaths than they are predicting
'

this has been the case for months now. just look at " c d c provisional deaths".
wonder where these excess deaths are coming from??

No no, don't say this, because it just makes you an "anti-vaxxer"... or something.

And just because influenza doesn't kill people doesn't mean that the resulting infections and damage from having the virus wont...won't....

Same thing with Covid-19....kidney, liver, endocrine, and immune systems are being horribly damaged by covid-19.

Covid doesn't just attack your respiratory system....it attacks your hormones that regulate many systems including respiratory.

The debate is over, the evidence is in.

You claim that what we are seeing with this astounding, apocalyptic spike in deaths among young 18-45 year olds is the result of having had Covid? If that is true we'll see these effects die out and by that I mean every year there will be fewer and fewer over the next decade.

The alternate claim is that the unprecedented "died suddenly" deaths as well as myocarditis and miscarriages and stunning drop in the birth rate is due to the vaccine. If that is true then we will see these numbers grow for at least the next few years and if they continue giving these booster shots each year these numbers will grow for the next decade.

Let each person be fully persuaded in their own mind. But know this, if you ignore the facts and the studies and the documentaries that have been released and continue to encourage others to get the vaccine, if it turns out that these documentaries are true you will bear some responsibility for those who get sick and die from the vaccine.

1.5 % of 300 million is 4.5 million with no mitigation and probably much higher if hospitals are overwhelmed.

If the virus affected children I wonder if people would be so blase?

Seems the old and medically compromised or fragile is an okay group to have die.

One of my classmates died from it. I'm 47
So it doesn't just kill elderly people
I think some children died from it too

My cousin died from Covid. The husband of our AP at school died from Covid. Several people at the church I attended died from Covid. I had Covid. I know it is real, and that it can be deadly, and it is certainly serious.

I also know that since I had Covid I did not need the vaccine.

I also know that since the risk to kids is very low there is no need to mandate it. You can offer it, even recommend it, but no valid reason to mandate it. The same is true of people in the military.

I am a teacher, we get exposed to every cold and flu there is every year. As a result I thought it was reasonable that so few kids and teachers came down with this. So I did not think it was reasonable that teachers were complaining that kids needed to get vaccinated to protect them. If you are a new teacher you are probably young and healthy. If you are an older teacher nearing retirement you have probably been exposed to everything that has been out there for the last ten years and therefore have a robust immune system response.

Up until this vaccine the vaccine was always a way to protect yourself, not others. If the teacher is worried let them get the vaccine, they shouldn't be able to tell 400 kids to go get the vaccine because they are worried. Even if the vaccine only kills or seriously injures 0.25% of those who take it that means one kid of these 400 will die or get some serious health issue because that teacher demanded those 400 kids get a shot.

Finally, this is the very first mRNA vaccine that has been given to people. Yes the technology has been around for awhile but guess what, no previous mRNA vaccine has ever been able to get out of trials.

Vaccine mandates have always been a thing for school.
If my child can't bring a peanut butter sandwich at school because someone not have a peanut allergy then why should your child be allowed to bring a preventable disease to school?

Well....likely it wasn't actually the virus itself...it was the resulting damage of bodily systems the virus destroyed...

I've known several that have died or are severely disabled because of this virus...one of which is my father-in-law who is on permanent disability instead of going to work every day.
