Jesus said, "“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”

Not surprisingly, if we look at history, since the time of Christ, Jesus' prediction has turned out to be true.

Powerful nations that ruled the earth have come and gone, the Roman Empire, Spain, England, the Monguls, the Ottoman Empire, Nazi Germany, Stalinist Russia, Napolean's France, Inca/Aztec/Egyptian empires......etc/etc. They've pretty much disappeared into the dustbin of history. History scholars may be familiar with them but they've been forgotten by common people.

While these great earthly powers/kingdoms/dictatorships have passed away, all of us on this board know and remember Jesus' words from Scripture. That's pretty amazing, considering they were spoken 2 thousand years ago.

The Pharoah of Egypt and the Roman Emporers of Jesus' time claimed to be gods. Yet, who among us remember their words or anything about them? Just a distant historical memory studied by scholars.

We have many ancient writings, but who really remembers them.

While many in the world don't accept Jesus as Lord, God, and Savior, His words live on, even in them. Jesus' prophesy is true. "“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”

Prophecy

“and the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field: the grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭40:5-8‬ ‭

fulfillment

“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:35‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Continuing witness

being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

For All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭1:23-25‬ ‭

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I believe His prophecy was pointing more towards the New Heaven and New Earth. Because you have to consider the part of Heaven. Is Heaven currently passing away? No. So it must be a future event.

Jesus is the Greatest treasure in the universe.
Mat 13:45-46 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: 46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

The City of Man and the City of God. The former's founded on a fallen nature, the other on perfect holiness. This means that, unfortunately, societies, like people are born, thrive and then die. I am praying that America lasts at least until Jesus returns.

Beautiful !! And thank you for the same you give !
Thank you, and thank you for the Third Day song! :) I was pretty much ready to go to bed last night when
I started that panel... but it does not sit well with me if I do not create a new one every so often, though
going back to work after almost three years off and with everything in between, ha, I find work exhausting,
even just part time, but also rewarding, yet it does cut into the free time I used to have for designing

I believe His prophecy was pointing more towards the New Heaven and New Earth. Because you have to consider the part of Heaven. Is Heaven currently passing away? No. So it must be a future event.
The three fall feasts give the best understanding of how God will create the new new heaven and earth.

The coming of Christ came about on the day it was celebrated when Christ's coming was only prophecy. So was the giving of the Holy Spirit. God does not change his ways, and unless God does this we can know the date of whatever year God chooses to do this. We don't know the year.
