The Philadelphia skyline is clearly visible from Apple Pie Hill in the New Jersey Pine Barrens 40 miles away. If Earth were a ball 25,000 miles in circumference, factoring in the 205 foot elevation of Apple Pie Hill, the Philly skyline should remain well-hidden beyond 335 feet of curvature.

Proverbs 18:17 The one who states his case first seems right, until the other comes and examines him.

It perplexes us to see that belief in a “flat earth” is gaining traction, despite being thoroughly debunked for thousands of years. This idea was almost non-existent until recently, yet this particular branch of pseudoscience is making inroads. It’s notable that the article The Flat Earth Myth, busting the myth that the church taught a flat earth, written as recently as 2013, did not receive any negative comments from flat-earth believers. Why? Because there were hardly any people back then who believed it! Rather, readers were grateful to see that the church had never taught this nonsense. Several honest atheists have even slammed people from their own side who have pushed a bad pseudo-history that accuses the church of teaching a flat earth.1

So, if almost nobody believed it back then, why do some people believe it now? This includes several who commented on an article published earlier this year: Isaiah 40:22 and the shape of the earth. Most of the influence today is coming from a series of online videos that have been shared widely. These were created by charlatans and, sadly, are deceiving many. Even more sadly, some Christians are being caught up in the hype.

Isa 40:21-22 . . Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been
told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations
of the earth? It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the
inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as
a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in

Job 22:12-14 . . Is not God in the height of heaven? and behold the height
of the stars, how high they are! And thou sayest: How doth God know? Can
he judge through the dark cloud? Thick clouds are a covering to him, that he
seeth not; and he walketh in the circuit of heaven.

The Hebrew word for "circle" and for "circuit" is the same. It appears In only
three passages in the entire Old Testament: the two here plus Isa 40:22 and
shouldn't be taken as the shape of the Earth, rather, the shape of the sky
above our heads; which, in the primitive mind, is basically a cupola.

* Unfortunately there are ancient Hebrew words that scholars, even to this
day, are unsure how best to render into English.

We shouldn't be surprised. I mean just look at the number of folk who've
bought into Dr. Anthony Fauci's spurious narrative. We seem to be living in
an unusual era of gullibility; nothing like I've ever seen in all my 78 years.

The New York City skyline is clearly visible from Harriman State Park’s Bear Mountain 60 miles away. If Earth were a ball 25,000 miles in circumference, viewing from Bear Mountain’s 1,283 foot summit, the Pythagorean Theorem determining distance to the horizon being 1.23 times the square root of the height in feet, the NYC skyline should be invisible behind 170 feet of curved Earth.

"Look again at that dot. That’s here. That’s home. That’s us.

On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of,
every human being who ever was, lived out their lives.

The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions,
ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero
and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and
peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child,
inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician,
every superstar, every supreme leader, every saint and sinner in the history
of our species lived there-- on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam."

(Carl Sagan's Pale Blue Dot-- imaging from Voyager 1)

The Earth is like a death star, careening thru space, looping around and
around the Sun many times over and again: a floating grave yard whose soil
is filled with the dead from many centuries stretching back to Abel: the first
of its passengers to return to the dust from whence they came.

Eccl 7:2 . . It is better to spend your time at funerals than at festivals. For
you are going to die, and you should think about it while there is still time.

The Creators plan to redeem His Creation is going forward, any problems here on Earth are not from His realm, they are from the adversary.
The regenerated mind see the Creation through His lens.

From Washington’s Rock in New Jersey, at just a 400 foot elevation, it is possible on a clear day to see the skylines of both New York and Philadelphia in opposite directions at the same time covering a total distance of 120 miles! If Earth were a ball 25,000 miles in circumference, both of these skylines should be hidden behind over 800 feet of Earth’s curvature.

Visual daytime observations show that the minimum altitude at which curvature of the horizon can be detected is
at or slightly below 35,000 ft, providing that the field of view is wide (60 degrees ) and nearly cloud free.

I'm not sure if this relevant... but Philadelphia is higher in elevation (above sea-level) than those areas which are on the coast.
About 500ft +/-

Maybe all those pics were photo-shopped by NASA?

Probably the flatters with the weakest legs to stand on are the conspiracy
theorists alleging that the USA, Russia, China, SpaceX, Google Earth, and
the European Space Agency, plus all the imaging teams, all the astronauts,
and all the folks involved in designing satellite communications systems and
the GPS system, have colluded to fool the world into believing the Earth is a
sphere.

It is often possible to see the Chicago skyline from sea-level 60 miles away across Lake Michigan. In 2015 after photographer Joshua Nowicki photographed this phenomenon several news channels quickly claimed his picture to be a “superior mirage,” an atmospheric anomaly caused by temperature inversion. While these certainly do occur, the skyline in question was facing right-side up and clearly seen unlike a hazy illusory mirage, and on a ball-Earth 25,000 miles in circumference should be 2,400 feet below the horizon.

Nobel Prize winner, author of several best-selling books, and recipient of at
least a dozen honorary degrees, physicist Steven Weinberg (who views
religion as an enemy of science), in his book "The First Three Minutes"
wrote:

"The more the universe seems comprehensible, the more it seems pointless.
But if there is no solace in the fruits of our research, there is at least some
consolation in the research itself . . . the effort to understand the universe is
one of the very few things that lifts human life a little above the level of a
farce and gives it some of the grace of tragedy."

What a dismal appraisal. In Mr. Weinberg's opinion, the human experience
scarce escapes the categories of farce and tragedy; its quest for knowledge
seems the only thing that gives humanity any justification to exist at all. The
universe? It's just a meaningless void decorated with fascinating objects --a
carnival side show of cosmic curiosities, so to speak.

But the cosmos speaks to mankind telling them that all that's out there, and
all that's in here, is the result of intelligent design, and there's a supreme
being.

"The heavens tell of the glory of God. The skies display His marvelous
craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they
make Him known. They speak without a sound or a word; their voice is
silent in the skies; yet their message has gone out to all the earth, and their
words to all the world." (Ps 19:1-4)

October 16, 1854 the Times newspaper reported the Queen’s visit to Great Grimsby from Hull recording they were able to see the 300 foot tall dock tower from 70 miles away. On a ball-Earth 25,000 miles in circumference, factoring their 10 foot elevation above the water and the tower’s 300 foot height, at 70 miles away the dock tower should have remained an entire 2,600 feet below the horizon.

It's not true. Every single "proof" that RaceRunner has posted just shows his complete ignorance of basic physics.

FE'ers are the ones with their eyes closed and their fingers in their ears.
