Hehe, I'm toying with the idea of becoming a priest. But I'd need the permission of the Mrs., plus it'd involve something like 8 years of schooling and moving to a new state for seminary. Not only that, I'd need to wait another 8 years before I could even apply yet.

best of luck... really

Thats a long road, but if it is your calling, God might pull a few strings for you to make it go by quicker.

That definitely counts. I went through all that and then stopped believing in the catholic church (and all churches) when I became an adult and didn't start believing again until about 20 years later. Now I am glad that my parents had me go through all that.

Well, there's also a bit more too it. I'd need special permission from the bishop as well, mainly because my spouse isn't Catholic... yet. ;)

I'm Anglican (or shall I say Episcopalian) , and I support you guys. I've read that my denomination is considered half Catholic. :)

Yes, the Anglican church was once part of the Roman Catholic church. It was separated by King Henry the 8th who declared it independent of Rome (and the Pope) in the mid 16th century. Ever since then, there has always been a cause to reunite your church with the Catholic church.

Well you know with all of these hurdles in your path, I would suggest praying for St. Rita of Cascia's intercession. She is known as the patron saint of the impossible because of how she was able to gain admission into the convent through divine intervention despite her status being previously rejected.
