I don't know how many of you know Blain, but his eyes have gone bad and he is blind in one and nearly so in the other. That's why he has not been on CC lately. He and his roommate are in poverty and he's just not doing very well. And he is frustrated at God for not helping him with any of it. Any prayers you can send his way would be greatly appreciated.

We should all pass around the hat and send them some money. Maybe online funding drive?

I don't think we're allowed to solicit money here. My wife and I have sent them a food order and are trying to get a computer guy into their home to set their 'puter up for the blind.

If anyone wants to call Blain he says it's ok to give out his number. 405-400-4696. Because of his condition he's not always able to get to the phone right away. And he's fighting a lot of depression. But I'm sure he'll be glad to hear from you.

It is times like these that remind us how fragile our world society is. We must pray and help folks in poverty. I remember chatting with Blain on CC in 2018, and he is a blessed man. So sad to see him in this condition, and will keep him in my prayers.

Wish our government in the US could have free healthcare and vision/dental waivers for those in poverty and have better social support for people in need. Here's hoping and praying to God that Blain ends up in a way better state of life, and that he recovers from poverty with the right supports.
