This was to the nation of Israel as a warning to them not to fornicate with or worship other gods.

What about after during the latter prophets ?

“Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations. I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.”

Yes, it is an act of spiritual faith that comes as a fruit of the Holy Spirit that indwels those that have been quickened by God to the new spiritual life. The unregenerate person will not, and indeed, cannot accept Jesus as his Savior by the things that Jesus taught that are spiritual things, because he thinks spiritual things are foolishness.

Repenting, believing in the gospel, accepting Jesus as your savior, and confessing your sins is the cause of your eternal deliverance. Jesus did all the rest. To deny this is to deny the Gospel.

And I do deny that the gospel, also, is not the cause of a person's eternal salvation. The scriptures informs, the child of God, how that he has been saved eternally, but does not inform the unregenerate how to get saved eternally.

This choice is not directed to the unregenerate, but is directed to Israel, God's people. By choosing death=separation, they would separate themselves from God's fellowship, and by choosing life, they would be choosing that good and joyful life in fellowship with their God. Mankind has a choice in how he wants to live his life as he sojourns here on earth, but eternal salvation is given by God's sovereign grace, without the help of mankind.

But also you never addess anything and then just look for any possible reason to argue and go in a big circular argument " chicken before the egg ? Egg before chicken ?

I'm too old to waste time going in a circle I dont think either of us are going to change our mind so , just in general if anyone is a Joseph prince , or Paul ellis follower I'm not vwe going to be able to really agree with more than Jesus died for the sins of mankind as a whole again which is good ground

That's very generous of you. I don't believe that I have ever gotten upset, or angry, when discussing the scriptures. I do realise the doctrine that I defend is a hard one to understand, but it gives me a little comfort to realise that Jesus had the same problem, in his days on earth.

I love to defend it, and one of the reasons is, that it keeps my head in the word of God, always learning, as much as my 88 year old mind will let me, with the help of the Holy Spirit.

I appreciate your endurance in staying with me as long as you have. Most just call me bad names, and check out pretty early..

I love to defend it, and one of the reasons is, that it keeps my head in the word of God, always learning, as much as my 88 year old mind will let me, with the help of the Holy Spirit.
