Well don't have a cow...
I mean they could be just meaningless labels but Im noticing more and more what Im attracted to and what I should avoid. And then you throw in Sigma and Omega in the mix and I just throw my hands in the air...I give upDepends which aspect you're talking about.
For product selection I'm definitely an omega male. I use what works for me. I let other people determine what is popular and care about what they decided is popular.
For organization in a group... Well I'm not part of many groups. Is that standard for omegas?
At church I'm probably more a beta male, though I don't really fit that classification. But when others are deciding what to do, I don't even bother deciding what my opinion is on what we should do. I don't really care.
Now when it comes to deciding HOW we will do what they decided we will do, I got all the opinions in the world. I'm pretty good at implementing what other people want to do.
Call me a henchman. I know that's traditionally a beta male position, but I can probably do it better than he can anyway.![]()
I think online you see it more - women who are being called alpha females, they are top in careers, financially independant etcwhy is it only men that gets called beta or alpha etc. there is no such thing among women
Do you think it is a choice what type you turn out to be or is it an inherent trait? In real life most men I know are either alphas or betas. Online Id say they seem more the delta types. While considering what Greek letter I'd be, I stepped outside the choices given and thought I'd rather be Sigma so, I looked it up and see that there is actually a Sigma type. This is an introverted version of the Alpha that stands outside the hierarchy by choice and is considered to be the "lone wolf" (the Omega prefers a small group of friends for emotional support). The Sigma has the best chance of challenging the Alpha and winning but would rather not bother with it. John Wick is given as an example of a Sigma male. Wow! I'm a badass!
I've always been fond of the old college fraternity, Eta Bita Pi.what about Delta, Omicron, and Theta?
Also Kappa Pi
There is a branch of psychology that deals with this. It is relatively easy to tell family order and often size according to one's demeanor and behavior.Jesus was the firstborn but also the lastborn.
Your placement in your family often determines your outcomes in life, for good or ill it seems. Middle child here lol!

The 6 Male Personalities: Alpha vs Beta vs Gamma vs Omega vs Delta vs Sigma - BrandonGaille.com
That's the old nature versus nurture question, and I don't think there's a conclusive answer that can be scientifically proven.
Personally I think it's a learned behavior. People are not dumb animals driven by instinct (no matter what some say to excuse their behavior.) We grow up and observe society around us. We make decisions about what we believe is important to us. We find out what works and what doesn't work when dealing with other people. Gradually we build our personalities from these observations.
That part about deciding what is important to us, that is the determinant. What you think is important decides what you will use to get it, which determines what kind of person you will become.

Alpha men or women are primarily seen as toxic, hard to work with, and more than just leaders.
Betas are seen as secondary, weak, and submissive.
It’s a good thing people are more than just labels created by a scientist who retracted his observations on wolves.

Since I'm not a psychologist I would only be taking a shot in the dark but I've never let my lack of knowledge hinder me before so ..Interesting! Tell me, which child am I?
You're Greek?
I used to be short on Omega 3
I had to eat a lot of eggs and fish oil. I didnt like eating the fish oil in those little gel capsules and would have preferred a diet of fresh salmon and crayfish, oysters, mussels, prawns...etc.
Mamma Mia!I have Greek feet, but I'd have to trace my DNA to be sure exactly what percentage. My daughter's results took her back to Macedonia, and I suspect she inherited that from me?
