We do not know who is going to hell and who is not.
Gehazi, a servant of Elisha who saw the glory of God when he saw the chariots of angels who blinded the Assyrians came into real trouble when he sinned.
Elisha took the leprosy of Naaman and put it on Gehazi and all his descendants for the rest of all their lives.
We do not know if Gehazi was lost, although I would say that he was castigated.
We do not know if Lot's wife who turned into a pillar of salt was altogether destroyed and is lost.

Only God knows the heart and only He and He alone holds the key of death and hell.

Peter had a very close relationship with Jesus and he said this.

1Pe 1:17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

All Christians will be judged; Unlike what Lonelysummer said there will be no free passes.

1Pe 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

I would like to go into this subject in detail because we are only scratching the surface which does absolutely no justice to the salvation that God has given to us. It truly is not something that we should theorize but rather something than is experienced and personal to each and every person.

So I will only quote verses as the need arises and each person will have to reconcile the verses, not one or two but probably 1000's throughout the entire bible which agree with one another.

The truth is that a totally illiterate person who cannot read can be saved before the intellectual person who justifies himself with selected bible verses, because salvation starts and finishes in the heart. If you are saved you will know 100% percent. And you will know also who you call Father by the works you do.

Peter says this again:

2Pe 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
2Pe 1:5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
2Pe 1:6
And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
2Pe 1:7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
2Pe 1:8
For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2Pe 1:9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

2Pe 1:10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

2Pe 1:11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Peter knew first hand how difficult Paul's words were to understand and that his words could be misunderstood. (God made it that way to keep the corrupt out.) Peter pulls no strings and makes it so that a 5 year old child could understand.

2Pe 3:15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

2Pe 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

2Pe 3:17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

Finally this has been the criteria from the fall of Adam until the final return of Jesus Christ. (The destruction of the earth)

Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Very simple, nothing more, nothing less.

P.S. I understand all of Paul's writings but it will be a very exhaustive thing to try and explain it to you. The bible is not simple.
I'm not taking issue with knowing who is or is not a child of God...only that no true child of God will have hell as a final abode.

If you can define what or who is a true child of God, then you will be half way home. We cannot define who a true child of God is because it is known only by God.

But I think the question we want to answer is, can a true child of God while here on this earth turn back and become lost and thus enter hell. I believe that your answer to this is - No.

That would mean that you are saying that once a person is saved on the earth, while on this earth, he cannot become lost.

I agree with that view on the surface.
If you cross the finish line, this a matter of fact and not up for debate.

But the question is where is the finish line.

Salvation is the greatest creation of God and one cannot dishonor God by simplifying it with some man-made formula or method.

Jesus Christ has always said that he who endures to the end shall be saved.

Mat 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Mar_13:13 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

John 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Rev 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

1Pe 1:2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

Paul says the same thing using different words.

1Co 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

Most people do not realize that salvation is a process and if the process is not completed you will not be saved. That process could take years. But once that process is completed and you become saved then you will be sealed with the blood of Jesus Christ and will not loose your salvation.

Therefore it is most important to define what you mean by salvation.
The servants of God in the church at Laodicea were not saved even though Christ regarded them as his servants. He threatened to spit them out if they did not stop being lukewarm.

Rev 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
Rev 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

He then encouraged them to repent and allow him to come in and seal them.

Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Now a deduction could be made and we could say that he that does not endure to the end will not be saved.

Thus our salvation really takes place at the very end - either at the end of our lives or the final coming of Jesus Christ to seal us. (The bible uses the term visitation or refreshing to specify when Christ will enter us or reject us)

Now at the end of the world after the destruction of the earth there will be a judgment and those who are saved will be judged and will be granted rewards according to their works. (Now works is not the same thing as working for your salvation; works here is the period during your sanctification where you are being changed into the image of Christ.

It appears that there are some who are going enter the kingdom of God by the skin of their teeth.

1Pe 4:18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
1Co 3:15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

2Ti 2:20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
2Ti 2:21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

These are a few of my own views. And God can correct me at anytime if he needs to set me straight about anything.

To be sure I have not touched on what salvation really is and usually God will reveal it to each person in their own time. It really is the will of God for their life.

God has given us both our burdens to carry, I cannot give you anything and you cannot give me anything, for it is God who is all in all and as James says, every good thing comes from God above.

James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

James 1:18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

Also the bible repeatedly says over and over that the Holy Spirit is our teacher and not man.

1Jn 2:26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.

1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

1Jn 2:28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

1Jn 2:29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

I don't know what my Christian denomination is, I know very little about Christianity, I was a Hindu but I love Christianity so much that I saw on the internet that Jesus died for sin. Jesus rose from the dead on the third day, I can't read half the English Bible. I can only read the Marathi Bible. I can't go to church
Hello Siddhi, hope you are feeling ok. I assume if you are reading this you are feeling ok for a time. This post of yours is dated 8 July 2022. That is two months before I found this chat site.

Seems that you were posting a little more in July than you post now. Do you think the amount of medication you are taking makes you too tired to write? It doesn't seem that the medication impairs your thinking. My guess is everyday things take more energy for you and maybe tires you out faster.

There is a correlation between weather and a person's disposition for some. Do you ever get any different feelings at different times of the year. The sense of this may be more pronounced where seasons are more varied like where I am in Chicago some people are very happy when it snows.

Do you get monsoon rain where you live? That is what I always here it called when it rains really hard in Southeast Asia and India and other areas nearer you. I see on our news here at times the temperature in parts of India is very hot. The people probably wish for rain when it gets very hot. Do you get any pleasure from seeing it rain?

Hope to hear from you Siddhi and sorry about the way I write but my life was always about electronics. I started by repairing televisions and from then on mostly working with electronics except for a couple years. Never really spent any time writing except when I was around 12 years old and started writing scary stories. That didn't last long.

My mother is a nurse. She earns money by working in a hospital.

When is rainy season in Navi Mumbai? The wet season / rainy season takes place in the following months: June, July, August and September.
Sometimes there is unseasonal rain in Maharashtra and cyclones are formed.
When it rains heavily, the electricity in the house goes out.:)
And we enjoy rain with lightning. I like to get wet in the rain. But I don't go to get wet in the rain. Because I can't walk.:(

Gematria (/ɡəˈmeɪtriə/; Hebrew: גמטריא or gimatria גימטריה, plural גמטראות or גימטריאות, gimatriot)[1] is the practice of assigning a numerical value to a name, word or phrase according to an alphanumerical cipher. A single word can yield several values depending on the cipher which is used.

I like Gematria:)

Siddhi, in your OP, you said: "I can't read half English Bible .I can only read Marathi Bible."

Can you read Bibles online like on biblehub.com as well as on phone apps like your mobile?

Anyway, hope all is well. Jesus loves you and if you can't go to a physical church service, as you also said, maybe you can try listening to Praise and Worship Music, or streaming one online? God Bless you.

I have a lot of pain in my nervous system and muscles. It makes me tired.

Hi Siddhi, Last night when I think of you and pray for you I cry knowing it is so difficult. I also think back of the time when my friend Donny would be around where I worked with his friend Jerry the blind man. Jerry would get help, maybe money, for helping Donny and then Jerry would get equipment and hooked up to cable television to do a voice only program. This was radio on television. That was a nice thing for them.

Siddhi, sorry to hear that there is pain from your muscles. I hope you have medicine for that. Does your mother work at Apollo hospital where you got treatment and is she able to get your medicines or do you have to go and pick them up?

I like to get wet in the rain. But I don't go to get wet in the rain. Because I can't walk.
Wish I could be there and take you out in the rain so you could enjoy that pleasure. I know Donny enjoyed when I would just push him around in his wheelchair. Jerry got pretty mad with me one time because I picked Donny up with his chair and set him on a coffee table at Jerry's house. Donny got a big laugh out of that.

Very unusual that you posted this particular finding by Gematria. The reason I say unusual is that the Assemblies of God pastor at the Maranatha Chapel near me talked about worshipping Jesus as King just yesterday December 18. Your post shows>>>
The King Jesus = 888 (1 Tim 6:15; Rev 17:14, 19:16)

I don't know anything about Gematria but from some preachers I have listened to on the internet I have heard them talk about Gematria and mention the significance of the numbers. On your post it is all with the number 8. Do you know what the number 8 signifies?

Also, how are the Bible verses that are listed, referenced by using Gematria. I don't see a connection with any Bible verse listed and the number 8 or 888? Is there a formula to find the connection?

Again, unusual you would post these numbers now. But maybe the time of year is significant to certain numbers. Here in the USA we are observing Christmas and maybe 888 has something to do with this? Or maybe 888 is significant to the Jewish observation of Chanukah or The Festival of Lights at this time of year?

Very unusual number system, for what purpose I do not know?

Man is created in the image of God and thus he is called a god in the bible. (small g)

John_10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
John_10:35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

Now as gods, we have a miniature resemblance of the God of the Universe, albeit tempered by God to prevent chaos in the universe and he is also limited in power too; but the one attribute that seems to be intact is the human mind (the ability to create) and intellect (to reason) which can challenge God.

Thus you will find men creating all types of systems that purport to approach God but really they are only an imagination of his corrupt mind.

The bible has stated over and over again (in these last days) that there is nothing hidden and everything is in the open. (The truth is hid only to those who are corrupt and blind)

Therefore to suggest that there is some key to open the secrets of the universe and God is a figment of man's imagination.

To be sure I have never heard of the term "Gematria" thus I cannot examine what it says, but I would have no interest in examining it, as the truth is out there, which is Jesus Christ, and it would take millions of years just to understand the truth, because God is infinite in all his ways, so why would I go offtrack into areas that would take away from the truth.

Jesus said this:

Mark 4:22 For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad. (Grace and truth came through Jesus Christ)

John 18:20 Jesus answered him, I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither the Jews always resort; and in secret have I said nothing.

Everything worth hearing has been said by Jesus Christ. There is absolutely nothing else to hear except what Jesus has said.

To go scouting around for new or additional information is absolutely a lack of faith.

According to the Jewish Encyclopedia, Gabriel takes the form of a man, and stands at the left hand of God
Siddhi, your post #126 includes the search for the angel at the left hand of God. Maybe more important is the way you pray from the bottom of your heart which you mention at that post. Try using the words that Jesus taught and are recorded at Matthew 6:9-13. Even though no person has ever seen the Father, except Jesus, we are told to pray to The Father. As I understand, we only know God The Father by calling Him Father and no other name.

The following verses tell of the first commandment we should do>>>>>>>

Exodus 20:1 And God spake all these words, saying, 2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. 3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

This is just like with your own mother and father. We never refer to any other people by calling them mother or father. So now that you accept Jesus as your Savior and your King, He is also your older brother, and you call His Father your Father. Jesus always called him Father and no other name. I am almost sure about Jesus being our older brother and that is because He was flesh and blood just like us when He was here on earth as a man.

Jesus refers to us as his brethren Hebrews

Heb 2:17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

Heb_2:11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,

Heb_2:12 Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.

This is my understanding that brethren means blood brother.

So on earth his actual earthly human brethren were the sons of Mary and Joseph.
But on the next level (spiritual) his brethren were those who shared his blood, which is us.

the ability to create
Their is only one Creator. Read the Bible and find out. The use of Gematria is looked on by many as inconsequential, irrelevant, superstition and/or possibly nonsense. I personally have no idea as to how Gematria came about. I am aware of a Greek, Pythagoras, who had some influence and followers of a philosophic 'paradigm' based on certain 'mathematical' beliefs. I don't know that there was any crossover with Gematria or if Pythagoras was influenced by Gematria.

I find 'coincidences' keep occurring when I pray to The Creator. Think of this coincidence Pablocito. The connections that are made on this chat. How did they come about. I think Einstein was speaking truth when he said, "It's all a miracle".

One more coincidence: Years ago I had a paperback book, 'Mathematics for the Millions' by Lancelot Hogben. The author on the first page wrote, 'Everything is obvious, it's just that sometimes it takes a thousand years to notice'. That was about the only thing in that book I read. BUT I REMEMBERED THAT. Maybe Gematria is significant, maybe not. I do know there are many significant things about numbers and mathematics in a practical way and why that is also could be that 'miraculous' is the explanation. i.e. CREATED BY THE CREATOR.

I would say this would be explained here>>>>Genesis 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

Sorry I only read the first line of this post and will read the rest of it later. I made a mistake and said "create" which can be misunderstood. I should really have used the term "invent".

Invent is based upon the imaginations of men.

Let's get to the bottom of this matter concerning coincidences. Therefore put on your seat belt, you are going to be subjected to a very bumpy ride which might not only test your faith but throw you overboard.
I am hoping you are ready for this else I might be doing you a disservice by confusing you.

Joseph's brothers attempted to kill him but God spared him by sending him to Egypt where possibly decades later he became the ruler in Egypt, second only to Pharaoh, whereby he was able to save his family from certain starvation, the same brothers who were trying to kill him.

The word "coincidence" does not belong in God's language and thus should never be used by us as it will show a lack of understanding of God and His word.

The word sovereignty as applied to God means that nothing and absolutely nothing happens without His ordaining it to happen. Not a single of the millions of birds in the sky falls to the ground without God ordaining it and permitting it to happen.
The same goes for the hair on your head, not a single strand whether grey or black falls to the ground except by God's ordination.
You already know that Jesus said this in the gospels, but to be sure not even Christians believe his sayings as they go to doctors and take medicines to take control over their life, when in fact it is God who dictates what happens and does not happen.
It gets a lot more complicated but I will let you assimilate this first and then we can go on to much more amazing things. Not believing the words of Jesus and also not understanding them really is a lack of faith. People will say they believe them but then they live in contradiction to them, as though his words were not true.

Siddhi you missed this post about Gematria.
