[Again, unusual you would post these numbers now. But maybe the time of year is significant to certain numbers. Here in the USA we are observing Christmas and maybe 888 has something to do with this? Or maybe 888 is significant to the Jewish observation of Chanukah or The Festival of Lights at this time of year?]

Hi Persistent
You seem to be obsessed with the above things.
I hope Christianity is not just an academic exercise to you.
For many others it is the opposite, it is just an emotional roller coaster.

Most Christians today practice Christianity by trying to win others to Christ. This is huge mistake as that is not the will of God for anyone in these last days. That is like trying to make brownie points in the sight of God and is a mockery of who God is.

Whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap.

My passion is finding the truth that takes me away from negativity
Siddhi, this is a wonderful passion to have that you mention here. Following is a verse which addresses this desire of yours.

2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; >>>>King James version

And the following version may be more easily understood and also the main 'sin', that being pride that hinders us.

Contemporary English Version
and every bit of pride that keeps anyone from knowing God. We capture people's thoughts and make them obey Christ.

Pride is what Cain felt when his offering to God was found to be unacceptable. Here is part of the history of Abel and Cain.

Genesis 4:2
Now Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil. 3In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the Lord. 4And Abel also brought an offering—fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his offering, 5but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast.

6Then the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? 7If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”

Siddhi, Cain should not have been angry. That is 'sin' number two which he let get control of him. But number one 'sin' was he was too proud to accept that his offering was not favorable. Exactly why I don't know. At the time this happened the 'relationship' between mankind and God was not so good is all I know. The Bible doesn't tell how long after being kicked out of the Paradise of the Garden that this happened.

The Bible is a book of Faith. In the Old Testament the word Faith is rarely used but instead the word Trust is used. There may be other words which mean Faith or Trust but I am not sure what they are.

Apparently when Cain brought an offering it was rejected and this was the first time an offering is made. Now the offerings in the Old Testament often involved the killing of some animal. It may sound terrible that the blood of some animal was often required for an offering. That is, an animal was killed. Then the blood was sprinkled on people. Sounds terrible too.

The only thing I can think of is that God was very upset that Adam and Eve didn't obey Him and now the animals, which God created are also cursed because of Adam and Eve not obeying so God wants them to be always conscious of the suffering that God and His creation are put through and sprinkling blood on them serves them right. Maybe this is not right but I don't know another explanation.

When Jesus came and was crucified then all the anger that God had about the 'sin' of mankind was focused at His own Son, Jesus.

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

So now there is no more need for any blood when we offer anything to God. And the anger God had for sin Jesus accepted for us.

I hope this post doesn't confuse you. It seems that everything in our lives interconnect in such a way that there are not always easy explanations. God is definitely not some simple statue or anything we can fully comprehend at this time and we are made in His Image so we too are rather complex and simple answers are not sufficient for God or us. Too, God has the answers and we need pray for them.

Don't hurry to know everything but keep doing what your doing. Searching for the truth. The negativity is hard to get rid of and when it is part of you, including the muscle pains, it can only be more difficult. Please stay in touch.

God is no respecter of persons. God treated Cain and Abel and me just like anyone else in this world. Abel was a just person. Cain was a corrupt and evil person. He is no different from you and me.

Abel knew the exact requirement of God just like Cain did, but Cain rejected God's way and chose his own way. God chastised him and Cain became more violent and murdered Abel. Cain was marked by God as an evil one.

We know that God had given these men his commandments, because God is a just God and loved Cain and Abel just as he loves us and gave us his word, the bible.

Heb_11:4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.

Heb_12:24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

We here in the New Covenant, who are sealed by the blood of Jesus Christ are given things more superior to those given to Cain and Abel (Heb 12:24) or to children of Israel (the law of Moses).

Cain is reminiscent of Pharaoh of Egypt whose corruptness caused him, even after he saw the glory of God (the plagues) to be destroyed in the red sea, he and all his army of chariots. Corruption (bad seed) is the cause for God's destruction, because bad seed cannot be converted into good seed.

The bible is not a series of guesses that we make, we must always wait on God to reveal everything to us in His own time.

Isa_28:16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.

Siddhi, in your OP, you said: "I can't read half English Bible .I can only read Marathi Bible."

Can you read Bibles online like on
biblehub.com
as well as on phone apps like your mobile?

Anyway, hope all is well. Jesus loves you and if you can't go to a physical church service, as you also said, maybe you can try listening to Praise and Worship Music, or streaming one online? God Bless you.
Yes,
I have visited this website https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis 1:2&version=AKJV;ERV-MR , and biblehub.com (for more information).
I read the Holy Bible translated in Marathi language on computer and mobile.:)

Siddhi you missed this post about Gematria.
Very unusual that you posted this particular finding by Gematria. The reason I say unusual is that the Assemblies of God pastor at the Maranatha Chapel near me talked about worshipping Jesus as King just yesterday December 18. Your post shows>>>
The King Jesus = 888 (1 Tim 6:15; Rev 17:14, 19:16)

I don't know anything
about Gematria but from some preachers I have listened to on the internet I have heard them talk about Gematria and mention the significance of the numbers. On your post it is all with the number 8. Do you know what the number 8 signifies?

Also, how are the Bible verses that are listed, referenced by using Gematria. I don't see a connection with any Bible verse listed and the number 8 or 888? Is there a formula to find the connection?
download.jpg
The number 8 is number of new creation, new beginnings, infinity, resurrection etc.

2 Corinthians 5:17
King James Version

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

In mathematics 1+7=8 is Coincidence for Bible verse 17;)

9203009.jpg
we can see that the name Jesus (Ιησους , Iesous in Greek) adds up to 888 i.e. I (10) + e (8) + s (200) + o (70) + u (400) + s (200) = 888:)

Again, unusual you would post these numbers now. But maybe the time of year is significant to certain numbers. Here in the
USA we are observing Christmas and maybe 888
has something to do with this? Or maybe 888 is significant to the
Jewish observation of Chanukah
or The Festival of Lights at this time of year?
I don't know:( and
The eight-day Jewish celebration known as Hanukkah

Siddhi, thank you for posting this information. This is something that looks very interesting. The history of numbers is interesting, and I have seen somewhere that the numbers that we use today, although called Arabic, were most likely developed with sources from India. At least in the incorporation of the '0' or maybe called zed. I am not to good in understanding about higher mathematics but have read from a book of higher math and while reading could get an idea of what the writer was saying but not able to retain it or see the application. The author Lewis Carrol, real name Charles Dodgson, a mathematician, wrote Alice in Wonderland and I understand this is one of his books that mathematicians enjoy. It is also a children's book. LOL

This is probably my last post to this topic. But I would like to state a truth that is unencumbered with man's input.
Any person who is sincerely and genuinely pursuing God, they do not have to fight to find the resource (bible) that they need to search for him or to remain true to him.

The bible is the number 1 book in the world and God has made it available to anyone in any language who would dare serve him. There is a Company called Gideon who will send a free bible to anyone just for the asking.

Lastly we are living in the last days and what I have said above might not really apply as the bible states that in the last days there will be a famine of 'God's word, meaning it will be missing in action.

Seems like a lot of work to get to the number 888. Takes time to look up on the chart the number that corresponds to each letter. And until you memorize the chart it takes time.

I should have shown the last sentence from this post is a new thought. Lewis Carrol's works are not 'higher' math, but mathematicians do enjoy his 'children's books. LOL

I was horrified to see the Holy Spirit
Hello Siddhi, If you are reading this I assume you are at least ok. My curiosity has the better of me and would you be willing to tell why that experience horrified you? It doesn't sound like it would be a horrifying experience. Particularly when you made the drawing of what you had seen. The drawing looks like you saw something nice.

I was a Hindu and a pagan, I did not know the full truth. Because of my Hindu family,I am disabled .Ignorance about monotheism .I sinned in my childhood .
I read the Holy Bible that Genesis 1:2
Authorized (King James) Version
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Ephesians 4:30
Authorized (King James) Version
30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

John 16:13
Authorized (King James) Version

13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

When I saw the Holy Spirit. I was afraid, I knew what the truth was. Then I started believing in monotheism.
There is good news why the Holy Spirit appeared, He has something to tell me.

Hi Siddhi, are you too tired to write?
No ,I don't have time or I chat using google translate :)

View attachment 244438

in the car I saw the Holy Spirit in the form of doves spreading golden rays:)
The good news is that the Holy Spirit had something to say to me.

I accepted Jesus Christ as Savior from this year 2021

The Holy Bible says
Acts 2:3-4
King James Version
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Siddhi, it is so nice that you write to me. Since you and I both are relatively new Christians we can still be certain that whatever the past was like for us does not keep us from the benefits of what Jesus did by becoming the Substitute for our sins. This is something to meditate about. There is no other religion that speaks of this incredible thing like the Bible writes of.

The Holy Spirit will lead you to the things you need to know. He will help you to understand the things you need to know. When you read the Bible and don't understand something it may be that it is not necessary for you at the time. The prophets who wrote the Bible did not understand many of the things they were writing. That is incredible!

Every other religion is written by people or a person that wanted the people who read it to understand things the way they understood. Not so with the Christian Bible. The Bible records what Jesus wants us to know not what some human being thinks is a good idea.
