op: God Desires the salvation of ALL mankind?
Certainly True:

"The Lord Is Not Slack concerning HIS Promise, as some men
count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, Is Not Willing
that Any Should Perish, but that ALL Should Come To repentance"
(2Pe 3:9)

Case Closed. For me anyway; all others my now carry on...

Grace, Peace, And JOY In Christ, And In His Word Of Truth, Rightly
Divided
(+ I and II)!

Can you explain why Peter is including himself in the "ANY" and "ALL", by using the word "USWARD"?

This one verse from Isaiah 45:22
Chapter 45 of Isaiah seems to address 'Israel'. Maybe there is a yet to be realized aspect of prophecy to consider here. Particularly after the verses addressing Cyrus. Some people claim that the nation established in 1948, Israel is not the 'Israel' referred to in prophecy and for some would also add a twist to 'interpreting' Isaiah's prophecies. What is the correct exegesis may be difficult to know. Keeping an open mind seems best. Maybe this verse applies.>>>>

John 12:47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

That verse might support your position off this thread. Maybe??

An award, signifies something worked for. The scriptures do say, if children of God follows his commandments that God will save (deliver) them because of their good works, but that is a reward that they receive as they sojourn here in this world.

There are many who claim that God does not desire the salvation of all human beings. But that is simply a lie of the devil. This one verse from Isaiah 45:22
You should look at the context, Its talking about the seed of Israel. The Seed of Israel is spiritual and its worldwide, its not talking about everybody

Isa 45:17-25

17 But Israel shall be saved in the Lord with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end.

18 For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else.

19 I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the Lord speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.

20 Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save.

21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the Lord? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.

22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

24 Surely, shall one say, in the Lord have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed.

25 In the Lord shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.

Vs 22 is a command " be ye saved" so they are saved

Why would you try and misrepresent Isaiah 45:22. "All the ends of the earth" means exactly what it says. The whole world of humanity. We need to be careful not to misrepresent God. That is not the only time that that phrase is in the Bible.

Its not acceptable to impose meaning on the text in order to suit any particular ideology. When reading the Bible it is necessary to allow the text speak. By using normal literacy skills one can recieve meaning rather than impart meaning. Other members here have shown what it looks like to apply "the elect" the rest of the text, and it becomes absurd.

There is no textual reason to impose the words "of the elect" to any of the text.

John 15:19
If you belonged to the world of the elect, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world of the elect, but I have chosen you out of the world of the elect. That is why the world of the elect hates you.
Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world of the elect, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Ahhh, in one verse the word world means one thing, but in another verse it means something different...with this view, one can make the bible say anything they want.

You are entitled to "your" interpretation.

Im testifying to the Truth, and unfortunately you wont have it.
No you are not. You have provided zero textual cause for imposing abnormal meaning to the text.
