And the only one not repeated in the NT
With all due respect, I believe it actually was.
Matt. 12:12
Matt. 24:20 - referring to a time after the LORD's ascension.
Mk.2:12 & 28
Acts 13:14, 27, 42, 44; 15:21, 16:13; 17:2; 18:4
Notice that the Apostles and the gentile congregants were all keeping the Sabbath after the ascension of the LORD.
Also, that at the Church they referred the new converts to go to the synagogue on the Sabbath to hear the Law of Moses read to get a better understanding of what they had just spoken to them.

I don't believe Jesus changed the law so everyone is free to sin.
But many people do believe this.
I believe Jesus lived perfectly and kept the law without fault. So that He can pay for our transgression of the law.
By saying Jesus changed the moral law, it allows people to break it and feel that they do not sin. But paul makes it clear...
Rom 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
He kept the law perfectly that He might provide us a perfect righteousness. Only shedding blood on our behalf would free us from the penalty of sin, but not accrue to us the righteousness necessary to stand before God.
Both are necessary. This is prefigured for us in the garden as God shed animal blood as well as provided a covering.

Really, anyone can do a search for "Sabbath" in the NT and find the word there.

That was not the point. NONE (zero, nada, zilch) of the verses you supplied give the commandment to keep the Sabbath.

One did not even mention the word ;)

My point stands :)

The early church clearly met on the first day of the week...Acts 20:9 and other places. Also, a better translation of Matt 28:1 in my opinion would see the end of the 7th day sabbath and worship moving to the first day of the week.
But Paul recinds any arguments when he allows for worship on any day.

She always checks. If you keep going she will add math as well. Don't say later you weren't warned.
*Ahem* I am more likely to add an image, perhaps one of my own designs :D

Math is not a strong suit for me ;):giggle:

I understand now what you mean. You've done an exhaustive job. :)
I don't mean to exasperate you but, I wonder why we have record of the early Christians keeping Sabbath and a remnant even to this day. As referenced also in the scriptures I shared?
Is there a command from Jesus not to make a graven image? Just wondering? I couldn't think of one or find one...

One of the Scriptures you referenced did not even have the word.

All of it is beside the point, which you seem loathe to admit.

Sabbath keeping is not given as a command in the NT. Period!

Need I say it? Not even by Jesus :geek: And that is the point.

Not whether or not the word is mentioned, and/or how many times.

= 146 Bible results for “Sabbath” from King James Version, NT ;)

None as a command :D

I honestly want to know what your understanding is of 1 John3:3-6 and 2 Tim 3:16? and why does Paul refer to the Law to teach a point in 1Cor. 14:34?... These are a few more that are perplexing to me with what is often taught in the mainstream churches. Rom.7:12-16 and vs.21 and 25. and Rom. 3:31.
There is no need to be perplexed since Scripture is always consistent. So let's take these passages and see what they say:

GOD EXPECTS HIS CHILDREN TO PURIFY THEMSELVES
And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

TO SIN MEANS TO VIOLATE THE TEN COMMANDMENTS
Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

CHRIST -- THE SINLESS ONE -- TOOK AWAY OUR SINS AT THE CROSS
And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

THOSE WHO ABIDE IN CHRIST DO NOT PERSIST IN SINFUL BEHAVIOR OR THOUGHTS
Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

THE BIBLE IS SUFFICIENT FOR ALL OUR NEEDS
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

THE OLD TESTAMENT -- CALLED "THE LAW" -- TEACHES WOMEN TO BE "UNDER OBEDIENCE"
Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS ARE HOLY, JUST AND GOOD
Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

FAITH IN CHRIST DOES NOT NULLIFY THE TEN COMMANDMENTS
Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

1. We need to understand that in Scripture "the Law" means different things in different contexts.

2. In Romans "the Law" refers to the Ten Commandments.

3. No sinner can be justified by trying to obey the Ten Commandments.

4. Those who believe on Christ have those commandments written in their hearts and minds.

5. The Law of Christ incorporates those commandment into the Law of Love. So love becomes the fulfilling of the Law (the Ten Commandments). See Romans 13.

Putting it simply.... the law is not made void in the new testament. We are saved by faith in Christs righteousness, and Christ kept the law perfectly. His death did not change the law, He paid the price for transgressing it, freeing us from the law.

Free from the curse if we repent and believe.
Not free to continue in sin.

The moral law has not changed but we can know by faith that the price is paid in full.

If I'm guilty of speeding and get a fine (according to the law). Jesus wants to help me so He.....
.....changes the law so everyone is free to speed.
.....pays the fine for me.

Jesus didn't change the moral law.
Nowhere in the bible is the Law referred to as the "moral" Law. That is a word made up by Pharisees to lock in their circular reasoning and try to trap people into the same silly philosophy.

If the law were, in fact, a moral law then much of the New Testament and words of the Lord are non-sensical.

Colossians 2:16-17
16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

If the law is a moral law then there is no escaping Judaism and all its laws. The law absolutely judges those who are under it. You are not moral if you don't follow a moral law. Resting on saturdays was written on stone. How could it be said to let no man judge you on it if it is a "moral" law??
