Why do some men, specifically conservative men, dislike childless "cat ladies"?

Woman cannot be even compared to cats.

I love the nature of woman very much, a great gift of God.

When i think about my wife i think how important she is to me in areas I am weak: sensitive to peoples feelings, knowing what people are needing, loving and kind to my children, grandchildren and me. Wise to advise me when i am wrong. My partner in life.

Many have great capacity to love and receive love from God.

They are such wonderful creations of God.
Both men and women, conservative or not become wicked, beastly and evil without the loving spirit of God in them.

Various people own cats (men, women, different ages, politics, singles, families) so I do not find this sterotype to be true. Cat is a common pet in cultures where dogs are considered dirty, or because there is no space for dogs (Japan, Korea, etc.). The parasite T Gondii can be serious, but most people do not suffer from the side effects. Cats (and humans) can get it from eating raw meat/ rodents, etc., so indoor cats are not susceptible to this. But the parasite could explain why some people own 50 cats. The stereotypical cat lady accumulates a lot of cats because the cats are unneutered and breed a lot of kittens. The cat lady stereotype also evolved from the religious prudish old maid who is always knitting, to now the feminist liberal etc. So, I don't think there is a strong link between cats and feminism.

Ms Mediator, My roommate has two cats. A male and a female cat. One of them is fixed, the male one, and the female one is not fixed. There is a neighborhood cat that looks like the female one my roommate has and he has been under the deck. Here is hoping we don’t end up with kittens!!

Any insight why? And specifically the connection to cats?
Well "cattiness" has been around for quite some time. You never hear of catty men. But who knows why people have certain preferences? Also you are lumping all conservative men into a stereotype.

I actually find this disappointing as I consider myself politically conservative. Just yesterday evening, Tucker mocked the 60-year childless, which I found incredibly rude and tone deaf since many are childless due to infertility or circumstances. There are also other politicians like Gaetz, Vance, and Hawley who have made similar comments.

A lot of men do not like cats. Cats as associated with feminine qualities in terms of behavior, maybe that's why.
Well i love cats and have had a cat in my home 100% of the time since early childhood to about a year ago, when my cat bronny passed.. Because of changes in my life and soon location i am not settled enough to take on another cat at this stage..

The ""crazy cat lady"" is a phenomenon that does happen.. But that does not mean that every single middle or older aged woman who owns a cat is crazy.. Not having seen the report from Tucker i can only go on social media comments on the particular type of woman who in their younger years where very militant feminists who hated men and thought motherhood was a form of patriarchal oppression.. who activly rejected men who wanted to marry them.. These types of woman end up getting cats as Child replacements and turn into what are called ""Karens"" who are very bitter and agressive woman who go out of their way to cause drama with strangers every chance they get..

Of course woman who are childless because of circumstances or because of infertility are not the intended targets of this kind of social commentary.. The problem comes when people take the commentary to heart when the commentary is not aimed at them..

The stereotype is that man-hating and child-hating liberal women tend to grow into slightly crazed cat collectors since they dislike children but at the same time long for something to care for. And the stereotype does not exist for no reason. On a more scientific level, a person with indoor cats is at high risk for contracting a literal brain parasite via cat urine that makes them love cats and, subconsciously, their urine. This brain parasite causes them to collect even more cats and form a mentally unhealthy attachment to them. So sadly, the stereotype is true on more levels than was even initially thought.
I have read a lot of nonsense, but this clearly "takes the cake" as being the most absurd thing I have ever read. Thank God that we have science to combat nonsense such as the above post!

You should probably actually do some research before talking about things you don't know about, considering science is the reason we know the considerable link between Toxoplasmosis and altered brain function to begin with.

I think singles get cats and other pets as companions not as replacements for children (in many cases it is actually the cat who adopts the human). Pets help fill a void in part for companionship, doesn't matter child or man or lack of friends. Some famous man in the past has said it is better to get a dog than a wife. There are many health benefits by getting pets.

There is an element of people treating pets as babies. You don't see this as much with guys since they are not maternal. A woman who is not acting maternal towards her pet is a bit unnatural. Baby animals and smaller animals elicit maternal reaction from women. However, women don't seek out animals to be mothers. Also, it doesn't make sense that women who don't want babies go out seeking to be mothers through pets.

Interesting theory. So true cat ladies are old feminists who have found feminism to be an empty and unfulfilling life...

Sounds like something an aging mgtow would say.

That's not surprising in the least, since lynxes are in fact cats. Maybe even fat cats (another common saying).

I don't like cats as house pets because they are not (generally) nearly as sociable as dogs. They are (generally) not nearly as dependable as dogs. (Yes, I did see the video of the cat that jumped into a dog's face to save a little boy.)

As for childless cat ladies, not sure what this is even referring to. I just wouldn't want to live with someone like that. Heck, I wouldn't want to live with someone who's house was full of dogs, either. I love the baby puppy (caninus infantilus), but too much of anything is not good.

Actually, it makes perfect sense. In fact, it seems to be a cultural trend, at least here in the States.

Human babies yank a person out of their selfishness. A dog? Worships the ground you walk on. It will feed your narcissism while giving you something to satisfy that need to nurture something. Satan loves to throw us substitutes for God's ideals.

As this generation becomes more self-absorbed, we are seeing less children born. But, we are seeing a lot of people call their pets "fur babies", and they see themselves as parents to these creatures.

Don't get me wrong. Animals are a gift of God. But, they were not meant to be a substitute for human beings.

Dogs as pawns of satan?

I dunno... I'll ask my australian shepherd mix (a.k.a. "mutt") if he has been colluding with the enemy, but I already know what he'll say. "Food? Food time? Now is a good time for food. Food yet?" He has a very limited vocabulary.

Walk into any cat cafe.
"Cat cafe".... is that a thing? I guess I've led a sheltered life for the past almost 70 years.... I've never seen, or even heard of a cat cafe.
Maybe in SE Asia? I've heard stories.... :p

I don't know, sounded pretty astute to me....
I observed all that nonsense first hand.... a well known talk show person coined the term "feminazi" for those types. And, they DO exist.
The same way that overly macho, (keep the little woman barefoot and pregnant) types do exist. They are not the norm, but they exist.
