More smoke and mirrors. I don't want to go off and do my own research; I want you to take accountability for your claims. I'm just looking for answers to a few simple questions, which you clearly don't know the answers to. It would be better if you would just say "I don't know":

1. Have any media reported on this except fringe internet sites, including the Weston A. Price Foundation. For example: New York Times, Wall Street Journal, ABC, NBC, CBS, or even Project Veritas?

2. How, specifically, do food manufacturers obtain the fetal cells they supposedly put in food?

3. If what you're saying is true, has the FDA investigated?

4. Isn't it illegal for abortion clinics to sell body parts? If there are legitimate concerns about this why aren't criminal investigations being launched?
I don't think he's trying to deflect, but providing the sources he got his information from. If you research it and find the answers you're looking for let us know.

LOL, you'll be waiting a long time if you expect me to research it. Better ask HealthAndHappiness.

Okay maybe I can provide a little info. There's a fact-check site, Full Fact, that talked about this subject. They said the first cells were taken from an aborted baby in 1973, but the HEK-293 cells used nowadays are clones of those cells. (Still, horrible and disgusting.) This site of course claims these cells are only used in research to test flavors. But others (see Health and Happiness' link to Weston A. Price Foundation) have found this not to be the case. And I watched a youtube video of an interview with someone about Senomyx, and they were talking about a new "sweetness enhancer" Pepsi was going to start using. (This was several years ago.) Of course it was a secular interview and they said nothing about human cells, but it doesn't take much connecting the dots to see. Hope this helps anyone out there even if it doesn't answer your questions.

I understand what you mean because it's hard to avoid it when it's so pervasive. But remember, "Whether therefore ye eat or drink,or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God." 1 Cor. 10:31 I don't think eating that kind of thing is honouring to Him.:(
Where, do you find pure food that has been untainted either in the garden or in a package? You drive yourself crazy searching for purity or die of fear of eating or spend so much money trying to keep it up.

Leviticus 26:27 And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me;

28 Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.

29 And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.

Where do you get all of that white supremacists stuff from???
Yes. Quite bizarre. I didn't listen to papermonkey because of all the run-ins I've had with him/her, and all I read was that "natural flavors" = embryos.

For the love of God, do you know how many things contain natural flavorings???? That can't possibly be true for all of that. We'd have to cut down what we buy to, I dunno, 10% our brand selection??

I know what you mean.

I disagree with the notion that "natural flavors" = embryos.

Specifically the substance called HEK stands for Human Embryonic Kidney cells. The 293rd baby used in the research was used in many things, from some of the vaccines to "food" additives by some companies. I lost my list of which companies, but if I can find an extensive one, I'll share it with you so you can print it out and take it when you go grocery shopping. Not all "natural flavors" contain the HEK, only a small but growing percentage. It's not usually labeled, so investigators must do a lot of work to learn which companies admit to it in their processed foods and injections.

Okay glad to know not all things that contain "natural flavors" necessarily have the HEK-293. A friend told me that it was in 90% of "natural flavors" but I found that hard to believe.

Artificial and natural flavors can be anything. More common are MSG variants and Aspartame. For instance, years ago, a lab tested bubble gums and chewing gums that were top sellers and found aspartame in each, even though they weren't labeled on many of the packages. If something tastes sweeter than sugar and it isn't labeled Stevia, which happens to be fine, then I won't eat it. Stevia is a harmless sweet leaf plant that is expensive and will always be labeled because it's got a loyal following that pays extra for it. . If it's an artificial sweetener, it might not be labeled. Artificial sweeteners are all bad and are cheap. Many of them are addictive and a couple contain Mercury.
Aspartame/ nutrasweet is just one example that your might be aware of. Continued use of aspartame can have serious effects, so rather than giving up, I just mark products off my list as I discover something like those. I still occasionally eat something with "natural flavors "on occasion, but don't make a habit of it since it's a mystery. If it's too sweet or makes me hungrier after eating, headache, inflammation then my response is no more ever again. Maybe I can make my own from whole foods. The only drawback to that is the effort and time to make them.

Yes I usually stay away from anything artificially sweetened. And am really familiar with stevia. I think aspartame can potentially cause brain tumors right?

That's good.
It commonly causes headaches and cognitive decline, ms like symptoms, obesity. It affects people differently. I lost a cousin to it. It's so common that I try to steer others from it. In institutions like nursing homes and hospitals, the dietitians contribute to the problems.

The good news is that it's dependent on how long someone uses it. If they're addicted to diet drinks for instance, it may take a long time. I worked with someone who had dementia from Aspartame. He got motivated enough to give up diet colas, detox and add appropriate steps and got his mind back.

Really that's so cool I didn't realize it could be reversed like that. God really did make us fearfully and wonderfully.

It is not that anything with some form of the 'natural flavor' label is guaranteed to have "baby parts" in it - it is that it could be so - because, they hide so many bad things behind that label.

One thing you can be quite sure of, however - if it has some form of the 'natural flavor' label - it is very highly likely that there is something in it that you don't want to put in your body - because, they hide so many bad things behind that label.

Anything that they consider comes from a "natural" source - including "baby parts" - that is used as some kind of "flavor enhancer" - they will hide behind the 'natural flavor' label.

Here's an audio file for you and Gojira on a related subject from my doctor. She doesn't go into HEK, but it may still be of interest.
Don't let anyone tell you it's a dangerous link or any such nonsense.
Someone won't believe it is reliable because it wasn't a drug ad on ABC, CBS, or NBC, but that's OK. I can live with that . They can take their CV shots or whatever they want. I won't recommend it by any means though.

Thanks I will look into it. And I'm much less likely to trust mainstream media anyway.
