The thousand yr reign of our Lord.

Thought it would be fun to discuss it. How do you think its going to be? Biblically we are told but these questions
Arose up in my mind.

Are there going to be cars, planes, buses. What of the infrastructure water, natural gas, coal.
Stores to shop in? Fishing,hunting.

Just a few things. Bank accounts, what will it be like?

I've thought about the coming Millennial Reign of Christ many times, but I never really pondered the questions that you asked here.

Yes, this should be fun.

I really don't know. I'd have to give this some serious thought based upon what the Bible has to say about it.

Cars? Planes? Buses?

The saints return upon horses, so I don't know.

Are you asking about the 1000 year reign or the life after on the New Earth?

The 1000 year reign will still be on this Earth. Sin will still be present as people will still choose to rebel as to why Satan will be released. It will be a physical Kingdom with a literal King (Jesus). They will be a ceremonial system like the OT with animal sacrifice but not for sins (this is debated as maybe in remembrance of what Christ did on the cross). There will still be human threats as the final great battle will be led by Satan which results in his final resting place in the Lake of Fire.

These passages seem to suggest there will only be a certain people in the Kingdom.

Revelation 20:4-6
New International Version

4 I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5 (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.

Many survivors of the Trib will not have glorified bodies and will be having children.
As stated, the members of the glorified church bride will have heavenly horses.
The bible speaks of many other animals being there.

If technology does not cease, will it progress?

Will man further develop space travel?

Will men decide not to invest too much into planetary infrastructure towards the end because he knows it will all get wiped when God makes a new earth? (Or will another population of unbelievers arise?)

Jesus will be visibly ruling, so would unbelief even be possible among the youth of the new generations?

Aside from what the scriptures say ..which will be, its hard to fathom what it would be like.
If we are to journey once a year to Israel do we take a plane or are the continents in one mass and we hike it.
Can you even imagine going on a trip to see JESUS....that blows my mind.
Of course with our new bodies ...maybe we can fly😂
What a day dream to have....all i know is praise God for these good thoughts to come...I can only imagine.

I believe we’re going back to the beginning when earth was a paradise and God walked among us.

“And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1:31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭2:8, 15, 25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.

… therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3:8, 23-24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I believe we’re going back to the pure form of creation as man fell through adam and was cast away they are reconciled through Jesus

“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭2:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭22:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the flaming sword keeping us from the tree of life is removed

a I believe what God created is a perfect world before we added technology so my belief is he’s restoring the things we destroyed over time and the technology and all that we have done won’t be part of it

I think there may be a lot of work to do before we settle down. Perhaps building projects?
Depending on The King's orders of course. Because.......

"Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and a severe earthquake. No earthquake like it has ever occurred since mankind has been on earth, so tremendous was the quake. 19 The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed." ~Rev 16

12 “‘For seven months the Israelites will be burying them in order to cleanse the land. 13 All the people of the land will bury them, and the day I display my glory will be a memorable day for them, declares the Sovereign Lord. 14 People will be continually employed in cleansing the land. They will spread out across the land and, along with others, they will bury any bodies that are lying on the ground.

“‘After the seven months they will carry out a more detailed search. 15 As they go through the land, anyone who sees a human bone will leave a marker beside it until the gravediggers bury it in the Valley of Hamon Gog, 16 near a town called Hamonah.[c] And so they will cleanse the land.’ ~ Ez 39

Survivors may need our help with healing & restoration? (as The Lord directs)

Then I can imagine a largely agrarian lifestyle. Perhaps not so much with the big cities anymore?

"They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks."

"Every man will sit under his own vine and fig tree, and no one will make them afraid,"

But I think we shall take the advice of our King on matters were we need guidance. He may appoint regional governance?

"He will judge between many peoples and will settle disputes for strong nations far and wide."

Making music, raising livestock, carpentry, metalworking, growing food, managing land & animals, cooking, assembling to worship
The Lord, swimming, exploring, maintaining our habitat, (cleaning ;)), relaxing, socialising, laughing, singing, helping each other.

Producing, using & enjoying all the things we need to pursue a good life without greed.

Let us seek out the people and tell them...........
Hey! The King rules in Jerusalem! The time for peace has come!

Psalm 117
1 Praise the Lord, all you nations;
extol him, all you peoples.
2 For great is his love towards us,
and the faithfulness of the Lord endures for ever.
Praise the Lord

The 1000 years will not be on Earth..
The things of Earth will pass away.
If you change your focus to Heaven, the questions above will be easier to answer.

Yes
That what the word says.
The order of Revelation is the Key.
Knowing it is a chiastic stucture.

The 1000 years starts at the first resurrection and finishes with the 2nd resurrection.

Joh 5:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
Joh 5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Rev 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

“Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him” (Revelation 1:7).
“The Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout. ... And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air” (1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17).
“There was a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as had not occurred since men were on the earth. ... And great hail from heaven fell upon men, each hailstone about the weight of a talent” (Revelation 16:18, 21).

What happens to the unsaved—living and dead—at Jesus’ second coming?

“With the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked” (Isaiah 11:4).
“When the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God” (2 Thessalonians 1:7, 8).
“Let the wicked perish at the presence of God” (Psalm 68:2).
“The rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished” (Revelation 20:5)

The living unsaved will be slain by the very presence of Christ at the second coming. The wicked already dead when Jesus returns will remain in their graves until the end of the 1,000 years.

Jer 4:25 I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled.
Jer 4:26 I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger.
Jer 25:33 And the slain of the LORD shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the ground.

It will be impossible for any person to repent during the 1,000 years because there will not be a person alive on the earth. The righteous will all be in heaven. All the wicked will be laying dead upon the earth. Revelation 22:11, 12 makes it clear that the case of every person is closed before Jesus returns. Those who wait to accept Christ until the 1,000 years begin will have waited too long.
