Do you hide your belief in God, your Christianity from your family? your partner? your work colleagues? your friends?
Do you have reasons why nobody knows you follow Christ? Or is it so personal this relationship between you and God that its nobodys business? Or is it because you dont really follow Him?

Or does your circle of fam and friends/workmates know of your love for the Lord? Your words praise Him, your actions honour Him...

My family, friends, and few coworkers know. I make sure my friends know, or people with whom I would like to continue the friendship, so I can weed out people who are not interested in continuing the friendship. Talking about religion at work is not socially acceptable and actually frowned upon, so no one talks about religion except those who are anti-Christian always manage to say something. When you are hired by a company, the employers trust you are trying to "fit in". Work is one of those environments where you have to put aside all differences to get the job done. It really depends on the work environment too; if you are working in a small rural town where everyone is Christian it is easy to talk about Christ and may be socially acceptable. I think our actions and work ethics honor Christ.

Once upon a time I did...

But then I gave it up and just didn't care.
And I figured it's not my job to hide.

I am who I am. Love me or bugger off.

I've been happier ever since.

You can't really hide who you are. Given enough time, it's not particularly hard to figure out. The way we dress, our choice of words, our actions, all speak to who we are. Eventually, what's down in the well comes up in the bucket.
It would concern me more about myself if I didn't want people to know. And it bothers me on a personal level that people can't just tell that I'm a Christian by the way I live because it means I'm probably not living as I should be. It means my light isn't shining and I'm not living in a way that causes people to take notice and are pointed towards God. Few verses in the bible have so convicted me as Matt 5:16...

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

I would like to encourage the ladies that it is easier for us to immediately be recognized in this culture by our carefulness not to cause another to stumble by our dress and our high standard of holiness. If the world does not know by looking at you I would encourage you to humbly ask the LORD to reveal His will for you in this that you may use the talent He has given you to ecru interest, you don't have to say a word often, just your presence. Hope this may be edifying.

With the exception of some of my coworkers, everybody knows that I'm a Christian. I work in an environment where one can't really profess their faith, but I do with one or two coworkers sort of secretly anyway. I think that my words and actions normally praise him, but not always at work. I get frustrated there at times, and I don't always respond in a godly manner, so I definitely need help in that area. I'm gradually improving there, so I think that I'm headed in the right direction.

I know what your trying to do but there are those all over the world that must hide their faith and they follow they know Him. I think speaking words of life, encouraging, uplifting words should always be shared. To say all the OP did yet end with "Or is it because you dont really follow Him? ". Praise God were as the word says not here to please men.

I’m proud of being a Christian, so I don’t hide my faith. ….but I think that even if we could, most of us couldn't even disguise that we love Jesus. We are a “peculiar people“ and we shine! :)

"32 “Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.
33 But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven."
Matthew 10:32-33

" 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. "

When we keep ourselves "stayed on Him" we walk in His protection.

There is a Muslim manager at work who is always respectful, fair, honest, no drama, and very faithful to his religion (no alcohol, doesnt check out women, fasts during Eid, etc.). I have always thought that he is a good example for someone who may be wandering and deciding on religions may be swayed towards Islam. Our actions show who we are.

I do talk to them about Jesus. I just wish that my walk was a little better.

So often, we see evangelism as a burden. It is really a limited-time opportunity...

We need to be empowered by the Spirit and empower one another. I can remember when I was very young. I was ashamed of everything. We must not fear rejection. We must die to self. Remember what Jesus endured for us...

Hebrews 12:2
“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

I have heard it taught that timidity with the Gospel is quite displeasing to the Father

My past is that I used to hide that I believed in God. I dont know why, maybe because I didnt have the faith part, maybe I thought I could have the best of both worlds. I no longer want to live like that, and I hope others can see we are in this world but not of this world when we belong to Christ.

I put in bold what you wrote because you must be the third person this week who said that here to me (and others). So true Brother!!
