but, more tangibly, I think it is a crescent and a star that is the quintessential representation of the perfected execution of the misogynist society after ages and ages of such the endeavor (but, under the guise of 'honoring' them, of course.)

Perhaps you have me confused with another member.

I did miss the intention of your post as I didn't pay attention initially to the bold type.
But since your quotation of Revelation 1:1 does state that the things shown were things that would soon take place I would enjoy hearing your understanding of that phrase if you are so inclined.

Sure. There are things that soon took place. Namely, the dealings with the churches. But then...

“Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will take place after this."

So, John saw a terrestrial vision; one of things that were to happen in the earth to the 7 churches. But then it is written...

"After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.”

John's view from the perspective of heaven was outside of time. Also, what he saw in heaven was the most complete view of things when compared to the appearing of those things in the earth. And, at the end of the age of the earth, the things John saw in heaven will come to the earth in their most complete forms.

In other words: While it is possible to find antecedents of the events John witnesses in Revelation throughout the scriptures, they come upon the earth in their complete forms at the end of the age.

This age ends when the Day of the Lord begins.

"..but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching."

Which begins with Pentecost, the destruction of Jerusalem, or at a future return or the end of time as we presently know it?

This exhorting one another is set against this certain Day... with an exhortation to receive one another in the Lord and assemble accordingly (not about "going the church"). This is the Lord building the House.

When perfected, through much suffering, the Bride, who is comprised of the saints, will agree with the Holy Spirit and ask the Lord to come back. This will be at the end of the tribulation when the Lord appears in the clouds. The saints will likewise appear with Him to display to the world that we are of Him. This is the final witness of the His righteousness at the end of the age.

In this display, we are both the sons of God and the Bride of the son, much like Eve was the son of God and the son of Adam, because she derived her flesh from Adam but her spirit from God. When the saints meet Christ in the air, this is the fulfillment of the Son being of image and likeness to God the Father. The first covenant (God with God) being complete.

It could mean a social credit that allows the person to be in a public market. Something like a passport.

Why would the mark of the beast be misogyny? The devil loves women. Look at how he used Eve. Surely the mark of the beast would more likely be misandry or feminism, if the mark of the beast was somehow going to be some sort of social cult? I mean, men are the ones who usually know the devil's schemes.

I would suggest you take a little better look at the very Scripture your asking about because it actually says way more than just a mark. It says unless you have the mark,,,, "OR" the name "OR" the number of the beast...
