who did the father give him?
John 6. it is the will of the father that all WHO SEE AND BELIEVE.....
Yes. All whom he calls shall, through intercession of God's Holy Spirit have their natural carnal mind for whom the things of God rank as foolishness changed so to receive, understand, accept, the things of God.

It is God who justifies.

No, Savior of all, Lord of all the earth. But that doesn't mean all will be saved. His blood is for all that are willing to come to him. Imagine an earthly king, is he king of the whole country or just certain people? He is king over all or he's not king.
God is sovereign yes. Jesus said no one can come to him unless God calls them. And if all those Jesus shall lose none. Therein Jesus refutes any claim we can lose Jesus and his saving grace.

God justifies. Only through his Holy Spirit renewing the mind that is first dead in sin because it is of the carnal human nature, seeing flesh and its appetites as paramount, can such a one regenerated through God's will then come to the understanding of those things of God they first thought of as foolishness.

Look at the net and the memes that mock our faith for an example of those natural minded folk .

Would Richard Dawkins bend his knee to the truth of the gospel? Even though he refers to himself as a secular Christian?

Did Christopher Hitchens? No . Both he and Mr. Dawkins have published many works calling the faith foolishness and irrational magical thinking.
Only God can intercede to change those, any, natural mind that thinks in the same way as they. As God tells us.

Are we not to take the Father at his word?

it does not matter

you can't tell people they are required to obey, yet water down the law and say they are ok.

there is law and grace. there is no other option.

By saying people MUST obey , you are putting them under law..
Jesus said you’re required to obey him. That means obeying what he said. Very plain, very clear, no way around it.

Do you agree or disagree?

I agree,

It is God who justified

He said that whoever believes will be justified.

faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word.

God does not chose who will believe, he choses to save those who believe

It sounds like you don’t believe you are required to keep the commands of Jesus. The Bible says otherwise.

If you love Jesus you’ll keep his commandments. If you don’t love Jesus you won’t keep his commandments. If you aren’t loving Jesus then if you have forsaken the love you may have had at first and, like the Ephesus church, you are called to do the things you did at first and repent. The things you did at first were Jesus’ commands.

John 14
15“If you love me, keep my commands.

Revelation 2
4Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first.5Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.

He said to be perfect as my father is perfect

are you perfect?
The context about being perfect as God is perfect relates to how we love our enemies. So that doesn’t apply to perfectly keeping the law of Moses and I was never talking about the law of Moses in the first place. I’m talking about obeying Christ.

Do you believe you’re saved if you don’t obey Jesus?

Disagree. Saved by grace through Christ's faith(fulness), not ours. Our obedience comes from salvation, not to it.
Do you agree?

[Eph 2:4-5 KJV]
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

[Eph 2:8 KJV]
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:

You’re not interpreting it correctly and your premise is false. I know how to correctly interpret it though. It means that salvation is a gift, but grace and faith aren’t.

Anyway, in Ephesians 5 it says that salvation can be lost via living according to a sinful nature. I strongly urge you to read more than just Ephesians 2 improperly divided and isolated from the grander narrative.

Ephesians 5
3But among you, as is proper among the saints, there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed. 4Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk, or crude joking, which are out of character, but rather thanksgiving. 5For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure, or greedy person (that is, an idolater), has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

Lol, I seek to follow the things of the spirit so i do not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.. I look to serving not tasking

I do not have to worry about obedience, because that is not my focus, But by practice i become like christ

Your focus is on saving yourself. You’re too self focused. You can;t be serbing God, your tp self focused

Where does the Bible say the natural mind is able to understand the things of God and believe?
Where does the Bible say god is a respector of persons? The spirit convicts the world. Kinda hard to convince the world if they are unable to understand

I can only gather you’ve chosen to reject Christ’s Lordship, at this point, based off of your replies.

Seems like a normal Christian would be proud to call Jesus their Lord, but you resist it.

This isn’t the first time I’ve encountered that spirit in this thread. Another individual attacked me for calling Jesus Lord to the glory of God the Father. Very alarming.

I don’t even know what you’re talking about. What about the law? you think the first and greatest commandment, to love God, is the law of Moses? That isn’t the law of Moses, that’s the law of God.

What I think will help you have a coherent Bible discussion is learning about the different kinds of laws and works. When the word law or work is used, it isn’t always referring to keeping the Law of Moses.

Read this very carefully:

Romans 6
15What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law, but under grace? Certainly not! 16Do you not know that when you offer yourselves as obedient slaves, you are slaves to the one you obey, whether you are slaves to sin leading to death, or to obedience leading to righteousness? 17But thanks be to God that, though you once were slaves to sin, you wholeheartedly obeyed the form of teaching to which you were committed. 18You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.

22But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the fruit you reap leads to holiness, and the outcome is eternal life. 23For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
