They can erect what they want and call it what they want, but God will not recognize it, approve it, nor will His spirit be there.
He destroyed the last in 70AD by the hands of Titus because it represented a rejection of Jesus which is blaspheme.
God does not have to recognize it, or approve it, nor does his spirit have to be there

But there has to be one built with the jews (in sin) making sacrifice in a holy of holies for the man of sin to abominate the holy place by declaring himself to be God.

otherwise, prophecy can not be fulfilled

How can the man of sin abominate the holy place when God does not recognize it as holy?

lol. it is the name of a room. the inner sanctum or most holy place of a temple in jerusalem

He told us when we see the man of sin standing in the holy place.

Either Jesus did not know what he was talking about (since it has never happened) , or it is an event that is yet to take place

I take the second answer

The holy place the man of sin stands in and abominates is when he stand in the place reserved for God, demanding to be worshiped.
That is the holy place Jesus was speaking about.
If God does not call a place holy it is not holy regardless of what man says.

so when will we see the man of sin stand in the holy place. so we can know that a time of great tribulation. such as never has been before or after will happen?

and what happens at the end of that period of great tribulation. and who takes up residence in the temple after that happens?

Daniel 11:36
When that happens, we know the time of great tribulation has come.
Jesus will erect His magnificent temple as described in Ezekiel when He returns.

The great tribulation occurs before he returns

Mtt 24:
15 “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), 16 “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. 18 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. 19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.

Christ returns AFTER this even, That is how he shortens those days.. or all life would be destroyed..

Yes, Jesus returns after this event.
Holy place refers to the place reserved for God, the only one to be worshiped, that the man of sin stand in according to Daniel 11:36.
Not in a building built by unbelieving Jews offering sacrifices that deny Christ and are an abomination before God.

Your making no sense

Jesus said the abomination of desolation will occure BEFORE the tribulation. BEFORE Christ returns.

And PS. If you read scripture. Jesus WILL rule from that very temple. built by unbelieving jews..

I agree the abomination of desolation will occur BEFORE the tribulation. That is when the tribulation begins.
I agree this occurs before Christ returns.
I disagree Jesus will rule in a temple build by unbelieving Jews.
I believe He will rule from the temple described in Ezekiel that He will build after He returns.

Please note what Mark 13:14 states about this.
He does not mention holy place.

Mark 13 speaks of the events of 70 AD.. they temple gets destroyed. There is no abomination of desolation.

Matt 24 speaks of the end of the age, the day of the lord or Gods wrath. He mentions the abomination of desolation because it is the mark of the final 3.5 years of Daniels 70th week/

Mark 13:14
"But when you see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where he OUGHT NOT, (let him that understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains."
Mark's account of the same events spoken of by Matthew in Matthew 24.
He does not speak of a "holy place".
Holy place does not always refer to a place in a building.
Every place Jesus stood or set was a holy place.
The only thing that made the enter room behind the veil holy was the presence of the Spirit of God.
When Jesus died on the cross, the veil was ripped.

Do you understand what an abomination of desolation is? Have you looked at history to figure out what it means?

I believe the temple will be in place because the Bible says it will. The Antichrist system has already built a huge Justice building for them. It wouldn't surprise me if the same system would help them build the Temple. Between them & modern contractors, it could be built in no time.

Daniel 9:24“Seventy weeks have been decreed for your people and your holy city, to [v]finish the wrongdoing, to [w]make an end of sin, to make atonement for guilt, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and [x]prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy Place
