I had an encounter with God yesterday; when i was gathered with other saints and heard his word and we sang songs and read the psalms together, and prayed together and communed with Christ himself and the others saints in the recieving of his blood and body.
And then again today as I pray and read His Word.

What could be more better than people from all over seeking the Lords face?
Here i am Lord...Samuel said
Send me....Isaiah
And yet there will be some with false pretense that will look for the super natural experience rather than GOD himself.
In order to be filled one must be emptied. Casting ones burdens on to the Lord. God is able but are we ready?
My sheep know my voice...
Seeking the Lords face is not normal for man to do. Its a calling.
All the publicity of this event has left many in questioning is this for real or is it fabricated?
Jesus said..those that are not against us are for us.
We will always have the doubters, the on lookers, skeptical, mockers.
Reguardless of its nature those who have come seeking with a pure heart shall be filled.
Come and see that the Lord is good.
What do you mean by “seeking the Lord’s face”?

Just like the verses he was preaching on from Romans 12. Rejoice with those who rejoice. YAH is able to make us stand.

9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil. Cling to that which is good. 10 In love of the brothers be tenderly affectionate to one another; in honor prefer one another, 11 not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving Adonai, 12 rejoicing in hope, enduring in troubles, continuing steadfastly in prayer, 13 contributing to the needs of the holy ones, and given to hospitality.
14 Bless those who persecute you; bless, and don’t curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice. Weep with those who weep. 16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Don’t set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Don’t be wise in your own conceits. 17 Repay no one evil for evil. Respect what is honorable in the sight of all men. 18 If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men.

I am not surprised that this is happening, and i dont need kabalah to tell me. Im not into mysticism, or gnosticism, or talmudism or any other such study of extra biblical semi pagan gobbledygook to tell me.
I trust the spirit of the Lord and his scriptures to tell me whats up.
It is good you trust the spirit and the scriptures but what you call mystism and nonsense is anything but that and people call things of God this but based on what where did they learn this teaching? You know the zodiac right? and how witches and spiritual people use it well the twelve ce;estial bodies tell the entire story of salvation starting with the virgin he wrote the beginning to the end in the cosmos before Adam even sinned.

In the same way studying the things I spoke of is all over scripture but the devil turned it into what people call nonsense which it is but if you do a deep study for yourself maybe you can see how insanely clever he was in wrting every word in there
there is a language within a language within a language in the word of God

well, I am a pentacostel minister and I can ensure tongues is not the focus of revival. :) Asbury is not a pentacostel location yet there are those who are getting saved, healed, and filled with the Holy Spirit speaking in tongues. I think the list I provided I did not mentions tounges at all :)
I didnt know you were a pentecostal minister that is interesting. I have never seen a revival before so this would be the first time I have encountered something like this but I have seen some astounding testimonies of people who went there or people who just went there to drop off their friends or families suddenly being drawn in

The people I saw who made the testimonies were beaming like not emotionally but like you can tell they were touched by the holy spirit beaming

These kinds of things I would have to be there to discern for sure, but overall I believe this about it:

Philippians 1:15 It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill. 16 The latter do so out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. 17 The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains. 18 But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice.
Yes Jesus is the center focus or else there is no focus The electricity in the air about this is everywhere I was even with my mom this morning and she seemed tired and was speaking low but when I asked her about this revival oh boy did she light up she went on about how a friend of hers went and gave her take on it and from what she told me once you even get near that area the atmosphere changes and that is the thing about presence of any kind when you shopw and you have a presence about you the atmosphere changes

I hear what you’re saying, but you cannot run on emotion as electricity, but the word of God. The word of God changes lives.

The electricity im speaking of is not an emotional one it is a current that seems to be spreading to everyone who is affected by this event those who doubt it don't really get it but when you accept it as an actual holy spirit revival it affects you in a different way the spirit inside just leaps and and yes the word of God is vital but it needs to be presented by truly holy dpirit filled people because the word of God has not done much for a long time.

We can try to stand grounded but we will never ascend if we remain on the ground praying for him to bring his church back to life but when we are given it we deny it.

It isn't normal and so we instinctvely put our guards up we question it we are wary of it and say we go by the word of God. Well that is good and all but since the word of God presented by those it is given or even taught is merely that just words teachings sermons bible studies but when do we put it into practice?

The scriptures give us every good direction into the kingdom but it also speaks a lot on what we are and should do in Christ. I mean it is sad to see that church is built not for the lost but for the saved, how many sinners or lost people do you see entering churches and coming out wanting more? Peopke go into church but cant wait to get out the sermons are not for the lost or about salvation or hell so yes the word of God is vital but from what I have seen what good has it done?

I tend to think of revivals the same way I think about celebrities coming to Christ: “Good for them” is my first thought.
Should I ever NEED a revival to take the Lord seriously, God help me.

Church is the gathering of believers. Lost people are never commanded to go to a local church to hear the gospel. Believers are to be built up and encouraged through the preaching of the word of God in church, then the people are to go out into the world and preach the gospel. When one gets saved, they should be invited to a local church to grow up in the word of God.

No church is for the sinners and the lost it is the house of the Lord where salvation is he draws us to him and the one place where he leads people looking for answers is the church.

We don't go out and bring them to us that is not reality even many believers in church have become sober and underwhelmed I have been to many different churches I have seen this and it honestly made me deppressed

So this revival needs to be the real thing because h it has been a long drought and his people need it to rain but most importantly the world needs to be reminded why he is God

Why would lost people go to church? Where in scripture does the lost person ever get commanded to go to the local assembly to hear the gospel? The church is commanded to go out and preach the gospel. The local assembly is where believers are built up and encouraged in the word of God.

Because they believe the answers they are looking for are in the church. People who spread the gospel and bring the lost to Christ evangelize but such people are rare if we the church do not spread the kingdom and bring the lost to Christ then he draws them to church or at least that would be the case but the church itse;f has been found wanting we look just like anyone else in the world we just claim to be different we don't go out and save lost souls we combine our faith with our daily lives and doing Christian things always seeking to grow in Christ but forgetting that we are for the kingdom and that we are called to bring the lost to Christ.

But when a lost soul decides to give this God thing a try where does the first place you tend to find such people? Church. So if things were the way they were supposed to be then yes the church would be exactly what you described but since we wont go to them the sinners and the lost try coming to us

Personally I think a lot of this is motivated by Christian nationalism. People look around and see what's going on in politics and the world and get terribly upset by the injustices they feel have been wrought upon them; especially by liberals. Instead of staying focused on what we as Christians should be doing they feel like they have to make a big show of force to the world that God is still around and not too pleased with how things are going. Be that as it may, God is able to take care of Himself; we should be in the business of sharing and teaching the gospel, and loving our neighbor.

Already I'm seeing on YouTube videos by Christian nationalists saying the next thing will be the Biden administration attempting to crush the revival.

I watched FOX news talk about this... did you see some of the people they talked to? It was all young people. Did you hear what they said? That is what God is doing. Those that doubt don't believe you get exactly as He said in His word. It works both ways. The song playing as I type.. thought I would share it.. all you have to do is want and believe
Holy Spirit come "Yancy"...never head of her before but again the words and what we are talking about.. what are the odds. This is what those young and old hearts wanted

"I'm coming with heart of worship
I'm bringing in a brand new song
I'm ready to see the unthinkable
I'm ready for a miracle
Hearts praying for a fresh encounter
Souls looking to the living God
I'm ready for a real revival
O Holy Spirit "

Good morning,

I would like to know your thoughts on this in KY. I have seen a revival and experienced it. I have learned many things as I am sure you all have also about revival what is and what is not.

One of the biggest killers of "Revival" from what I see in church History is when the following HAPPENS :

  1. People trying to recreate what God has done
  2. Making movement out of the Move of God over following God as He moves.
  3. No Accountability, correction, or addressing error when happens
  4. the abandonment of the word of God and replaced by what is believed to be a move of God or an emotional experience.
  5. OvereEmphasis on demons or principalities that must be confronted.
  6. those who come in with hidden agendas or establishing a personality for later moves.
What do you all think?

I thank you all in advance
This is a list what DID happen at the END of the Charismatic Outpouring back in the late '70s. The Outpouring itself had nothing to do with "Man's efforts, and wasn't sustained by man. And when it ended as all "Times of refreshing" do, there was the "What now" factor.

Some folks tried to keep the "Outpouring" going, which was impossible, but did result in the "Charismatic "Movement" for some, which didn't "Denominationalize" as many previous "times of refreshing" had. And MOST of us re-integrated back with the institutional churches. The Assemblies of God had a large influx (since Charismatics tended not to re-join cessationist churches).

What's going on in Asbury may be a new "Time of refreshing" in the church. The Charismatic Outpouring lasted for over a decade, and was World Wide in scope. Brownsville, on the other hand was local, and short lived.

#3 is tricky, since ANYTHING a Church teaches will inevitably be HERESY to another church.
#4 The "WORD OF GOD" is one thing, but everybody's got their own "OFFICIAL INTERPRETATION" of it. The Charismatic Outpouring didn't "Abandon" God's word, but DID bring the realization of a much HIGHER view of it said, which made the limited denominational understandings of it relatively unimportant.
#5 is a continuing problem since the institutional churches (Including the major Pentecostal groups) have a morbid FEAR of anything demon related, and AVOID the subject like the plague.

#6 And of course there's ALWAYS the lunatic fringe.

What do you mean by “seeking the Lord’s face”?
To seek the Lords face....means to have a close and intimate moment with him....one on one a truthful heart felt need to just be at his feet. Or if your a kings kid to sit on dads lap🤗🤗
