Hello guys. Many young folks, around my age (20s) enjoy anime. I was never really into it as most anime is degrading and has too many fights/lack of plot, however, Hunter X Hunter and One Piece are good and wholesome. Also, anything by Studio Ghibli are well done, though some are melancholy.

What are your favorite animes? Do you feel that any anime shows support Christian values?

I watch a lot of anime and read a lot of manga. Sometimes religion plays a big part of the storyline; but unfortunately most anime doesn't do a good depiction of the faith itself religion is usually a tool to fight off demons or something.

That being said though, I don't expect anime to be overly accurate and I do think it's nice to include religion in some stories.

My favorite animes are Spirited Away, Sailor Moon, Lunar Legend Tsukihime, Hellsing, Cowboy Bebop, Berserk, KonoSuba and Attack on Titan. (The list would be longer, but those are my favorite off the top of my head 😜)

Not really into anime, but I've had a fondness for Cowboy Bebop ever since I first saw it on Adult Swim years ago. 😊

I would encourage you to be discerning and vigilant concerning who this form of entertainment is from. Is it drawing you nearer to the LORD and Truth? if not, you know we have an enemy that is determined to destroy our souls with any means possible.

Be sober and vigilant for your adversary, as a roaring lion seeketh whom he may devour, Resist Him...

Amen to that. I avoid rude forms of anime and stuff that objectifies others. That is why most anime is not for me, except HxH and One Piece. Good always prevails over evil in those shows. :)

I have watched Spirited Away back in September 2022. It was sad, but wholesome, really well done. I'm gonna check out the other ones you listed when I get through this One Piece one.

On PC (web browser, I think), click on the three dots near the message you want to send, and click attach files. On phone (web browser), click on the paper clip below that says attach files.
 
Dragon Ball Z, Pokemon, Avatar The Last Airbender(American Anime), HxH, My Hero Academia, Cowboy BeBop, uhhh that's all I can think of but most of what I enjoy are usually about friendship and that having friends is important as iron sharpens iron.... expect Dragon Ball which is about screaming and powering up beyond your last limit.xD

Avatar is the best, same with HxH. May try Cowboy Bebop after One Piece.

My daughter taught herself Japanese as a result of her love of manga and anime -:D
Also as a result of her love of this genre, we watched a lot of shows/series/movies.
We also really liked The Twelve Kingdoms... there were so many others, some
which we enjoyed to the end and some which we lost track of or abandoned at
some point, for one reason or another. We did see HxH, but I do not remember it -:unsure::giggle:

You also like the Studio Ghibli movies which ones your favorite mine is a tossed up between Ponyo My Neighbor Totoro and Kiki's Delivery Service

I'm a part of the prototype anime fandom generation, back when private video rental stores had small anime sections on VHS and laserdisc, before Blockbuster Video came along and put those mom & pop stores out of business. Sometimes we'd watch Nth generation VHS copies of raw episodes recorded off of Japanese TV, following along with an episode synopsis guide form magazines like Protoculture Addicts and Animag, or printed from a file downloaded from a BBS.

That said, one of my favorites is Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water. It's based off of Jules Verne's 2000 Leagues Under the Sea, but with a steampunk/space opera twist and gets bigger and bigger. It involves a little bit of stuff like "The Bible says that this happened, but this is what actually happened" in order to further plot developments, like Adam &Eve being created by offworlders, etc. It's nothing really blasphemous and doesn't get annoying and grotesque like Gainax's next series, Evangelion. Nadia is way better than Eva.

I remember way back when Kiki's Delivery Service was first introduced to the USA, and Christian watchdog groups were upset about a story involvining a witch. I'd already seen the movie many times via a fansub VHS I owned. The whole moral to the story is to use the talents that God gives us, lest they go to waste. I assume those Christians opposed to this movie hadn't even watched it to know the plot. As with all of us, God wants us to use the talents he has given us to bless others and to not stagnate. In the movie, Kiki learns this lesson and her mentor even tells her such.

If you have the image open in some program, you can also ctrl + a to select the image, then ctrl + c to copy
the image, and the ctrl + v to paste it directly into the message box. Make sure it is appropriately sized .;)

There are other ways too which I can explain to you if you are interested. .:)
