Is it really that difficult to figure out that the 'last trump' is the 7th and LAST Trumpet?

We CAN figure out with certainty what it is NOT: it is not any of the Revelation judgement trumpets.
As so many post-tribbers erroneously propound.

Right. It's some type of Jewish trumpet that sounds at one of its traditional festivals - the sounding of a Trumpet from a religion that doesn't even believe the Messiah ever existed signifies the rapture.

It could be as simple as this.....the trumpet (from what I recall, there were SEVERAL WARNING blasts before the final blast) to mark the day of Sabbath rest (signifying our rest - the Church) starting at sundown....but as importantly the START OF THE "NIGHT" aka the 7 year tribulation "night" of judgement upon the earth dwellers.

Or it could be some other Biblically relevant trumpet that is a call to assembly. Some say it is related to the Feast of Trumpets "last trump" (has some support as well).

"The historian Josephus, reports in Wars of the Jews IV,582: “And the last was erected above the top of the Pastophoria, where one of the priests stood of course, and gave a signal beforehand with a trumpet, at the beginning of every seventh day, in the evening twilight, as also at the evening when that day was finished, as giving notice to the people when they were to stop work, and when they were to go to work again.”

Archaeology has confirmed the place of trumpeting to which Josephus was referring. Excavated by B. Mazar at the southern foot of the Temple Mount we find a very unique artifact, a stone from the second temple. In the Biblical Archaeology Review’s July/August 1980 issue we read:

“When we excavated the beautifully paved Herodian street adjacent to the southern wall and near the southwestern corner of the Enclosure Wall, we found a particularly large ashlar block. On the inside was a niche where a man might stand, especially if the ashlar were joined to another which would enlarge the niche.

On the outside was a carefully and elegantly incised Hebrew inscription: LBYT HTKY ’H LHH [RYZ]; “To the place of Trumpeting to (declare).” If the restoration of the world “declare” is correct, the rest of the missing part of the inscription probably went on to tell us more about the declaring of the beginning and the end of the Sabbath.

Did you forget that the Seven Feasts of Israel (the "Moedim") are prophetic of the First Coming, the birth of the Church and Second Coming? BTW, Israel as a nation will be fully redeemed at the Second Coming if you did not know that.

There are MASSIVE quantities of OT (Jewish) prophecies that have yet to be fulfilled. And they WILL be fulfilled precisely on time and to the finest detail to the very letter.

No need - Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath.

The word LAST refers to -
  1. extreme
    1. last in time or in place
    2. last in a series of places
    3. last in a temporal succession
  2. the last
I don't see how it can be anything BUT the Seventh and LAST Trumpet!

The "seventh" of the trumpets sounded by the ANGELS are just that... "a set of seven" intended for a specific PURPOSE... and sounded by "7 angels".

Let the readers (and may you) CONSIDER the following:

Revelation 4:1 -
[notice how these translations are specifically worded--due to "grammatical" reasons"--and bear in mind that the FIRST time John had "heard" this particular voice was back in 1:10, spoken by the One Who identified Himself there as "THE FIRST AND THE LAST"... whereas this passage below (4:1) is the second and LAST time THIS "voice as a trumpet" is shown speaking described in such a way ('voice as of a trumpet') in this Book] -

New Living Translation
Then as I looked, I saw a door standing open in heaven, and the same voice I had heard before spoke to me like a trumpet blast. The voice said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must happen after this.”

English Standard Version
After this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice, which I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.”

Berean Study Bible
After this I looked and saw a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had previously heard speak to me like a trumpet was saying, “Come up here, and I will show you what must happen after these things.”

New American Standard Bible
After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a trumpet speaking with me, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things.”

NASB 1995
After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a trumpet speaking with me, said, "Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things."

NASB 1977
After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a trumpet speaking with me, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things.”

Amplified Bible
After this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a [war] trumpet speaking with me, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things.”

Christian Standard Bible
After this I looked, and there in heaven was an open door. The first voice that I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.”

Holman Christian Standard Bible
After this I looked, and there in heaven was an open door. The first voice that I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, "Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this."

New International Version
After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, "Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this."

Contemporary English Version
After this, I looked and saw a door that opened into heaven. Then the voice that had spoken to me at first and that sounded like a trumpet said, "Come up here! I will show you what must happen next."

Good News Translation
At this point I had another vision and saw an open door in heaven. And the voice that sounded like a trumpet, which I had heard speaking to me before, said, "Come up here, and I will show you what must happen after this."

International Standard Version
After these things, I saw a door standing open in heaven. The first voice that I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, "Come up here, and I will show you what must happen after this."

NET Bible
After these things I looked, and there was a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet said: "Come up here so that I can show you what must happen after these things."

Weymouth New Testament
After all this I looked and saw a door in Heaven standing open, and the voice that I had previously heard, which resembled the blast of a trumpet, again spoke to me and said, "Come up here, and I will show you things which are to happen in the future."

[recall also the TWO "silver trumpets" spoken of in Numbers 10:1-10 (in view of the "24" sets of NAMES coupled together in chpt 1 and the PURPOSE spelled out there), which "trumpets" were to be "sounded" in particular distinct patterns FOR each particular PURPOSE]

Then... notice...

... also under "Strong's G2078" (your reference), this: "When two are contrasted it is equivalent to the latter, opposed to ὁ πρῶτος the former" [<--quoted from BibleHub]

That's right! It could be anything - a n y t h i n g - as long as it fits into the pre-trib rapture fabrication...

... and another thing I'd meant to add to my last post (ran out of EDIT time) is that, after the "7th Trumpet" (Rev) is sounded, there still remains to unfold the "7 Vials" (which themselves unfold over SOME TIME) BEFORE Christ's Second Coming to the earth takes place at Rev19 [/Matt24:29-31 / Isa27:12-13[,9], etc]

There's only a 45 day period from the sounding of the Seventh Trumpet to the end of the book. IOW - The defecation continually hits the fan from the 7th Trumpet on.

Nope. Severe error here.

The 'Vials' (all of them) occur - in a [fairly] short period of time - after the [initial part of the] Second Coming of Christ - Christ Himself "dishes them out"... (They are the 'Wrath of God'.)

Correct - God's wrath begins in Revelation 11 at the 7th Trumpet.

^ Nope, it says of the "Vials," (the "7 LAST PLAGUES" by the way), "for IN THEM the wrath of God IS COMPLETED" (NOT "is started AND completed<--see this same word used earlier in Rev and see whether it means [what is being spoken of there] refers to "started AND COMPLETED" when that word is used there. It doesn't.)

[the "wrath of God" unfolds WELL-BEFORE the "7 Vials" point in the chronology]

^ One Example: Rev10:7 ("started AND COMPLETED"?? No!)
"But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished G5055 [same word as in 15:1] as he hath declared to his servants the prophets."
