If you weren't alive during the 60s you don't understand. Yes, we had Woodstock but those were a few hippy kids and did not represent the vast majority of the country. They believed in "free sex" but even they did not talk about homosexual sex. We had the Beatles, true, but when John Lennon compared himself with Jesus there were massive protests in the US where they burned their albums. You can argue that the leaven was introduced in the sixties and now 60 years later the whole lump is leavened, but it wasn't leavened in the 60s. Yes we had people protest the war and run to Canada, but they were by far the minority. It wasn't until the 70s and Watergate that a significant number of people began to protest and question the government. Yes, JFK was assassinated in the 60s but the entire country swallowed the official account and it wasn't until the 80s that a significant minority of the country began to question that account. Even so they were able to muddy the waters with all kinds of ridiculous conspiracy theories that to even question the JFK assassination made you look like a looney until now.
JFK was not the only one assassinated during those tumultuous times.

It's been the "end times" for 2000 years now. Closer now than ever before for sure.

I am pretty sure the scripture speaks about the end of the age, not the end of time?

it speaks of both. But yes, everyone confuses "the end of the age" with "the end of the world" or "the end of time".

The adept eschatologist would know that the terms are "last days" "last times" "end of the age" "end of all things" "end of the world" and simply "end".

You really need to dig into the Greek and do a word/contextual study to get a grip on the terms. It's gonna take while.

We are in the end of times (1Peter 1:20)

There is an end of all things (1Peter 4:7) and an end of the world, Peter describes the things of the world being burnt up and dissolved (2Peter 3:10).

Peter links this term with the day of the Lord coming as a thief in the night, which is interesting. A thief in the night is generally not likened to a huge fire, but in this case it is. Imagine nuclear missiles hitting us in the night. In the morning everything is gone. A thief came in the night and the stuff wasn't just reduced to rubble, it was "dissolved". That is not TNT it is a nuke.

Since I know there is no rapture forthcoming I should be fine to continue with the study that the rapture is not forthcoming!!

Do you read and write any Mediterranean languages?

Yeah probably not, so don't tell me to get a grip on the terms.

Hello! Good to meet you. The 'rapture', 'harpazo' in Greek (catching up) comes from here:
1 Thessalonians4: 7 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.
Just wondering what you do with this verse? God Bless You, have a good day :)

Here is some of the finest exegesis on the BIBLICALLY FACTUAL matter of the pre-trib rapture that you will ever find anywhere.
Enjoy! And God bless your study.

The gov’t has about 48 hours to fix a-soon-to-be-irreversible mistake. By allowing
@SVB_Financial to fail without protecting all depositors, the world has woken up to what an uninsured deposit is — an unsecured illiquid claim on a failed bank.

Yes, the deplorables in the fly over states need to get a second mortgage on their house so that we can bail out their betters. Stop wasting money on the wheel chair ramp for your son, the veteran from the Afghanistan conflict, and help out these people who live in gated communities.
