It is one of those things that are best left in the hands of GOD and not to be made another opportunity to cause division among the brethren. That is their (the enemy) plan to overtake us.

When we get off on these tangents that do not draw us closer together in the Spirit, the enemy rejoices that we are playing right into his plan. We must walk in peace and forbearance. That is how the world, and the brethren, will know that we truly are disciples of our LORD, and sons of GOD. We will know them by their fruit.

There are no scriptures that command that this subject is a requirement of our salvation.

We become servants of the enemy when we go beyond what is plain in the scriptures and force it upon the brethren, stirring to controversy. It is wrong to stir up division. It is called heresy.

Let us love one another, share, pray that those that do not see will have their eyes opened by the Father, and do all to keep the Unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Please read Eph. 4:1-16.

And be ready always, to give an answer to everyone that asks of the hope within you.

but you have turned a blind eye to them. Until you give up your belief that eternal deliverance is not gained by your good works, and repent, you will continue to be blind to seeing the truth.
“I have explained both of these scriptures to you,”

Yes you attempt to explain so they fit into your own idea about salvation that rejects what Jesus said about salvation.

you don’t need to explain what Jesus said to anyone , you need to accept what the scriptures have to say to you

I usually give scripture with my comments, it would be helpful if you would do also.

The natural man, before he has been born again, cannot believe spiritual things.(1 Cor 2:14).

Show me where the scriptures say that eternal salvation is a gift.
First let me ask you do believe in context? (the principles of hermeneutics)

do you think there is a greater point that Paul is addressing when he writes to the this church in Corinth?

If you no to the above we have nothing further to discuss., which is fine, it is not personal.

Yes. We have been over this. The "that" in the passage UNQUESTIONABLY is referring to the faith as the gift. That is why this question of WHERE your faith comes from is so vital.
You have yet to address the point that "Grace" does NOT need a qualifier of being labeled a gift, as the word ITSELF means that it is an unmerited gift.

I absolutely agree. But if you are being "persuaded" of something, you are using your intellect.

So for the umpteenth time, WHY were YOU persuaded, yet others who heard the word weren't?

Yes! Born again Children actually. Tell me what you did to facilitate your physical birth? Nothing! So why do you think you did ANYTHING to facilitate your Spiritual birth?

Faith is UNQUESTIONABLY a gift of God, but I'm not going to question HIs Motives, or use my human logic and intellect to answer matters that should be left to Him. In my human mind, I can say things like "God is not fair!" The Book of Job is full of that stuff. Till God showed up. Then ALL mouths were silent.

I just know from the Word, AND from personal experience, that there was no way I was coming to God without the faith He provided me. I was on a course for destruction until He drew me, I heard the Gospel, and believed. As a Child would. I KNEW it was true. There was no persuasion. I just KNEW it was true.
For the many and multitudinous reasons people believe it all comes down to this>>>>>

Christianity is not being saved by faith, Christianity has been, and always will be about being saved by grace, and grace can only be accepted in faith.

Don't let TULIP complicate the simple Gospel.

My answer was in the scriptures that I quoted to you. If you do not understand them, then you must be blinded to see the truth.
Ok, done with the cat and mouse game. Lets try this way and see the answer. Does the church replace the Jews? Usually that's where the "spiritual Israel" comes in ignoring Romans 11 completely.

And you will add to Scripture. No, I'm not Catholic, I can read and understand the Bible all by myself.
You’re conversing with someone who says the word world in John 3.16 does not mean the world. He changes the meaning of basic words to suit his heresies.

The Bible says faith comes from hearing the Word of God. Faith is not a work.

The TULIP people think accepting God' free gift of salvation is a work.

They have every angle locked up tight, but they are still wrong.

Well if they believe that they either haven't read what the Bible says or they are ignoring what it says. In fact the Bible says the opposite. So I don't know how one could deny it. Apparently they cross out large portions of their Bibles to believe as they do.

Here it is:

If it is required to receive something, it is a work.

You must understand that the born again child of God receives many salvations (deliverances) that are achieved, as they sojourn here in this world, by their good works.

Eternal deliverance for all of those that God gave to his Son, was a one time event, accomplished on the cross, by God's sovereign grace, without the help of mankind.

1Co 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
1Co_6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
Do we buy ourselves?
Seems to me the way Scriptures are written both sides of this issue can posts Scripture in doing so they ignore others.
There is no way in my mind the framing of the Scriptures just 'happened' . God gave us a puzzle to learn from.

Mmm I see that, and I'm already getting the red x from someone who apparently hasn't read the Bible. Or does Calvin have his own Bible, it seems like he should. He sure didn't agree with the Word.
That would be me. I've read the Bible many times and I'm sure you have too. The difference is that I realize
what I'm reading, and you do not.

We're on this subject now, faith is not a work. The Bible says faith comes from hearing. What is there to mistake and get wrong?

Agree, Calvinists tend to be arrogant, the sovereignty of God's of personal selection of some and the others left to destruction tends to create this psychological state.

The other side could say those of self will are so arrogant they believe they choose over God. I chose my Salvation. I am in control of my life i chose.

Well Ms. Beckie we do not say anything about self will.

We do say that God has a condition "belief" and that it is God's sovereign will to put in a condition for salvation.

No one can "will" belief, that is not the nature of belief.
