Nope, not like that at all. Lazarus was dead. Jesus raised him from the dead.
People who are alive can decide to believe the gospel and become saved.
Which dead would you rather be,,, When our Lord returns which would you rather be body dead or spiritually dead ?

Actually I gave up on the donut shaped earth theory when I discovered the glaring hole in my theory.
It'd make sense if our galaxy were called the "Coffee Way" but it's called the "Milky Way" for good reason, because the earth is made like an Oreo cookie.

If you look at even the Apostles, they didn’t understand the Gospel, at least the death, burial, and resurrection, part of the Gospel, UNTIL GOD opened their eyes.

Jesus told them flat out several times that He would suffer, die and raise again on the 3rd day. It wasn’t really that they didn’t believe, it was that they didn’t understand it.

You know who DID understand it?
The Scribes and Pharisees.

They didn’t believe, but they certainly understood, even though Jesus was much more cryptic with them than the Apostles, about Him claiming to raise again to life.

So much so that they petitioned and got a Roman gaurd to watch the tomb in case the disciples tried to make Jesus’ claims come true.

God had to open the Apostles eyes. They couldn’t by themselves.
The same with Jesus brothers...They did not believe until after the Resurrection...And they grew up in the same house...So you would think living with the perfect Son of God would of gave them some inkling , but God had not opened their blind eyes until after the resurrection...xox...

THIS post right here is the epitome of what is so wrong with man's will overriding God's sovereign election.

No one is Spiritually alive UNTIL they are born again from above.

If we are NOT Spiritually dead BEFORE "deciding" to believe the Gospel and become saved, WHY DID JESUS HAVE TO COME AND DIE FOR US TO BEGIN WITH?!!!!

2 Corinthians 10:5

We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ

Jesus called Lazarus to come forth while he was still dead. Lazarus heard the Lord's voice while he was dead. Jesus didn't raise Lazarus from the dead first and then say: Lazarus, I've made you alive, now you can hear me tell you to come forth.

LOL, this is like shooting fish in a barrel.

“I spent several years as a determined five-pointer as a young man before changing my mind to accept Arminianism. I made the switch purposefully and with quite a bit of painful study as a student at Princeton Seminary. But many Calvinists today are making the switch for purely pragmatic reasons. They have not become convinced the Bible really teaches the Arminian approach. Frankly, Arminianism is simply more palatable to a secular culture. It "fits in" to the mind-set of the people in their pews. Like it or not, the secular mind is naturally Arminian in its outlook. I've discovered this repeatedly myself by administering a theological questionnaire to secular students in an adult education program. These "unchurched Harrys" invariably register Arminian theologically.

Face it, Arminianism is simply more logical. It makes sense to the person on the street. And today's church is scrambling to make sense to unbelievers. We want to sound sensible, logical, rational, enlightened, fair. Arminianism is so much more appealing to worldly people.http://www.crivoice.org/arminianism.html

From the pen of an Arminian… 🤣🤣🤣
He’s right though, the fallen man is Arminian at heart. It is the nature of fallen man to work, to will and to run, in order to “become right with God.”

Where do you get the idea that God "sovereignly elects" people for salvation?

No one is Spiritually alive UNTIL they are born again from above.
Agreed.

We are...

WHY DID JESUS HAVE TO COME AND DIE FOR US TO BEGIN WITH?!!!!
The price had to be paid for our sins. People who choose to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, becoming spiritually alive, and their sins are paid for by Jesus' death.

Did not His words quicken Lazarus and make him alive? Lazarus put life in himself? And once alive, he responded? Or he could have gotten up any time?
If Jesus hadn't used the name Lazarus, would all the dead arisen?

That one is true. But people can choose to seek God, believe the gospel, and when they do, they become born again.

Show me the scripture where affirms that the natural man, before he has been born again, can choose to seek God, and do not quote me Rom 1, because that is referencing the disobedient, born again, children of God.

Only if they are spiritually alive, by being born again spiritually.
