Yet Individual election refers to God's unconditionally choosing in eternity past particular persons to receive saving grace and mercy in time. 1 Tim 1:13

Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

1 Pet 2:10

Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

God does not choose anyone to be saved.

What God did was offer the Cross to the world.
All that believe, shall be saved.

So, what was Calvin's heresy?.. Why was he so deceived and ended up creating a Theology, that rejects Grace, and denies the Cross?

Calvin, was probably not born again. And he read the bible, like it was a dictionary, and put verses together, never discerning them, or "rightly dividing" them. Also, Calvin wanted to be famous. He wanted to be known in the history books as a "church father".

He ended up, denying the Cross and creating a theology that has twisted Christianity into his cult.

How did he become so confused about the Cross, Grace, and God's Salvation?

It was one thing, only.
This....
Calvin could not comprehend that God knowing everything that is going to happen, (Foreknowledge) is NOT the same thing as God causing it all to happen.

See that?
Calvin could never understand this, so he created a Theology that has God choosing some to go to hell before they are even born.
And that is Crazy., And Calvin was the same. He was theologically insane.

Thats absolutely false ! In fact there is no other way a person will be saved through Christ.
Not according to the NT.

The NT says "Faith (in Christ) comes by HEARING".... the Gospel............not by being "forced to believe"....by God, as Calvin the Heretic teaches.

The NT says that "FAITH is counted as RIGHTEOUSNESS"< and the believer is "Justified by FAITH">

Jesus told you that... "All who BELIEVE IN ME, i give unto them eternal life, and they shall never Perish".

Now, Calvin, who is a demonized murder of another Christian, teaches against the Cross, against the Grace of God, and denies the Truth.
He's a devil, no better than Judas.....who has been allowed to be trusted, because others just like him, became "church fathers" and they are all of their father.
And their Father is a Cross Denier, who has used John Calvin and those who follow Him, to rewrite the NT, so that it teaches that Salvation is not a "gift".......to be BELIEVED...

Paul teaches that Salvation is "THE GIFT of Salvation".

John The Heretic Calvin, teaches that God forces some to believe, and wont allow others to believe, and then sends them to hell for not believing.
That is INSANE., and that is Calvin.

Christ said...>"if I be lifted up on THE CROSS, i will draw ALL People to me".

"ALL". "ALL" "ALL"

Calvin the devil, say.s......"No , you are wrong Jesus, let me tell you how you did it......See, Your Father only FORCES some to believe and causes the others to go to hell, by not allowing them to trust in You.""

The Cross is God's Grace.

John 14:6 is God's Salvation

The "Gospel of the Grace of God" is : John 3:16-17

All of that is ANTI- Calvinism

God's Grace is "anti-Calvinism"

2 Corinthians 5:19 is "anti Calvinism"

"The GIFT of Salvation".....is "anti-Calvinism".

Jesus Himself is "anti-Calvinism".

Brightframe, have you ever noticed that if you ask a person like you......>"are you a Christian"......... you'll say...>"Yes, im a Calvinist".

See, you believe that Calvinism is Christianity.
The devil is very glad to hear it, as he used Calvin to trap you, and millions just like you.
Thats a fact.

Absolutely, brightfame52. Without election as the basis of salvation (given to those whom God had specifically designated for such), the possibility of His mercy and grace unto salvation would not exist - there would not/could not then be a Saviour, leaving all to their own devices for it, not to God's. This is the situation that all who reject election are under: they reject the Saviour.
Those who would say otherwise (regarding election), demonstrate they have no comprehension of salvation, nor of Christ as the Saviour, nor of the gospel - only those, however, chosen for salvation can ever know or believe in the one condition that accompanies salvation, which condition is that it is solely a gift, given fully, completely, freely, and unequivocally to His elect from/by a merciful and gracious God.

Absolutely, brightfame52. Without election as the basis of salvation .

Calvin taught the heresy of "election" as "Predestined to go to Hell if God didnt choose you".

Calvin was not just a terrible theologian, He died a Cross Rejecting Heretic.

So, being a follower of Calvin, is to be a denier of Paul.

Enjoy your free will, Rogerg.

Kindly provide actual proof that this is so. Not that I am a Calvinist, but if you are going to make such a serious accusation, you need to back it up.

I have just posted in another thread that Five Point Calvinism is a house of cards, and John 3:16 & 17 thoroughly demolishes this false gospel. Christ died for the sins of the whole world, and ALL may be saved if all will repent and believe. But all will not obey the Gospel.

You obviously do not understand the gospel or Paul. Up until now at least, you remain under law and works not grace.

Why don't you post it in this thread so we can all read it? Seems like it would be appropriate for this one too.

Calvin's Gospel denies that Paul's Gospel is True.

Paul teaches this..

Jesus said. "I came into the world to save sinners'.

The demonic Calvin said....>"no you didn't Jesus, you only came to die for those whom i defined as the predestined elect, by twisting verses to suit my heresy".

Jesus said..>"If i be lifted up on the Cross, i will draw ALL people to me".

Calvin said..>"no Jesus you didnt......see, i teach that God only chooses some, and the Cross is not for the REST of those SINNERS".

John said...>"For God so loved the WORLD of PEOPLE, that He GAVE HIS SON to the CROSS..

John 3:16-17.

Calvin said.. "sorry John, you dont understand that God only chose some, and the Cross is NOT For the world"....

Calvin is a demonic, Cross denying, Grace Hating, Liar.
He died one.

I wonder if anyone ever rejected Paul's message? Did anyone ever reject the gospel of the grace of God? Could this grace be resisted? Calvin says no, scripture says yes. I'm going with scripture over man.

Acts 20:24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

Jesus came to save only (and all) for whom He died, which are those that the Father gave to Him. Had He died for everyone as you seem to imply, then everyone must be saved, right? So, is it that you believe He died for everyone, and that they will become saved, because that is what you are saying?

esus said..>"If i be lifted up on the Cross, i will draw ALL people to me".
You shouldn't build a doctrine based solely upon one verse.

The "all" are all those whom the Father gave to the Son. See following.

[Jhn 6:36-37, 39 KJV]
36 But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.
37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. ...
39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

[Jhn 6:44 KJV]
44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

[Jhn 10:26-29 KJV]
26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any [man] pluck them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave [them] me, is greater than all; and no [man] is able to pluck [them] out of my Father's hand.

he gospel does not say that grace can be resisted. Those whom God saves are kept by the power of God, it is not of themselves.

[1Pe 1:4-5 KJV]
4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

I would never do that..

Here is what Calvin did.. He read.....>"elect", and "foreknowledge" and "vessels fitted for destruction", and created an entire TULIP demonic Theology out of not understanding any of those verses, in context.

So, Calvin decided that Because God knows you are going to post more today, then that means God chose for you to do it.
Same as God chose what Breakfast you had today, and if you will take a shower.

See that?
That is CRAZY Calvinism, that he applied to "Foreknowledge" because He could not understand that God knows what you are going to say next, and what you will eat later, and if you took a shower today, because that is God's Foreknowledge.
What Calvin did was TWIST that into..>"God CAUSED you, God CHOSE you, to be on the forum today or to go to hell.

Calvin did not understand that : God knowing everything before it happens, is not the same as GOD causing it to happen.
So, Calvin corrupted "Foreknowledge" into...>"God caused it".

And once you understand this.....once you can see it, then the Calvinism deception will fall off you and you'll never obey the man again.

You appear to have a fixation on Calvin. As far as I know to this point, I have only quoted the Bible. Why don't you instead
refute those verses. The Bible can speak for itself.

Calvinism is a Theology that denies the Grace of God and the Cross of Christ, using bible verses.
As you know.
