Even if he is convicted, it carries a maximum of five years. I figure worst case scenario, he pays a fine

What are you talking about? This is a felony! It is in your face. Bragg needs to go to prison.

This trial will put both on trial, Trump and Bragg.

BLM protests about "Black Lives Matter" was an example of how the powers that be were put on trial and judged. This will take that from some historical wrongs to a current, present day wrong.

We still have not seen any felony charged to Trump, however, election interference is a felony and that is what Bragg has done.

Bragg has suggested that the classification of checks sent out in 2017 might have influenced the election in 2016. Absurd without a time machine. Second he has suggested that Trump violated NY election laws, the Presidential campaign is not subject to 50 different laws from 50 different states, it is regulated by Federal election laws and those have already determined he didn't violate their laws.

The one thing we do know is the entire case will hang on the testimony of a certified liar.

I never thought I would say this, but I hope Trump is re-elected, turns on the light and sends all the roaches into their little hiding places.

Ever see what a roach does when it thinks it is in the dark and you turn on the light? It runs as fast as it can to hide.

My impression yesterday was mainly one of sadness for this country and I am reminded of what David said when he got word of Saul and Jonathan killed in battle.

How the mighty have fallen.

Gee. All we have left is prayer. What a novel idea.

Do you remember back in 2016 when Trump was running for president how his campaign sucked all the air out of the room. There were 16 candidates and all anyone talked about on the media was Trump? I wonder if that will happen in this campaign as well? Ummm, scratch that.

What they are going for is Trump fatigue, I do think Di Santas is better placed to win in 24 not because I am anti Trump, I'm pro Trump but the Republicans need to edge past their base support and reach out to the floaters.
You live in England I think (from your bio)?

'nuff said

People have lost sight of the bigger picture. And that is what the left wants. Well, that and to create smoke for the actual criminals. No worries though. I am sure that Mitch McConnell will get the rinos GOP out of the ditch. If and when he gets through counting his money

The left has run this country for years. Planted all the trees, watered them and now you see the fruit from those trees.

The schools from kindergarten on....anyone understand what the 5th column is?

There will be no trial. It will get thrown out.
Why, Trump would have to file a motion to dismiss the charges. Why would he do that, the publicity around this is great, he can bleed them to the uttermost with their hypocrisy, and you want to keep this front and center if the Ga investigation gets any teeth because Mueller, 2 Impeachments, Car-a-Lago, and now Bragg inoculates everyone to anything they can possibly throw at him.

Because he has good lawyers.

Yes well he also has good campaign advisors. Kash Patel was on Bannon saying he wanted this trial to go for two years and completely drain out the swamp.

Reminds me of this movie "Fracture" where the man on trial for murder hires a private investigator to investigate the cop who arrested him and the lawyer prosecuting him.

If you dismiss the charges it appears to be "where there is smoke there must be fire", but if you go to trial and utterly convict Bragg you put a stop to this. You need to put the fear of God into the prosecutors.

Politically it would help him to have a drawn-out trial. But a trial that goes sideways is the end. No moral lawyer would advise his client to do that in this case. There are numerous causes to dismiss charges.

Well the next hearing is in December, till then Trump needs to go on the offensive and make this trial an indictment of Bragg and Biden. Republicans need to subpoena people on this trial, draw the connection between the two, and utterly take down the DC swamp. Trump is a counterpuncher, so counterpunch. I expect powerful adds by any PAC's, I expect allies in Congress to go on the offensive, and I expect key media outlets like Bannon and Tucker to dismantle and destroy this.

His next court date is the day before the first caucus for the 2024 elections.

No telegraphing this is a political witch hunt there. Noooo, not at all. 🙊
