I had an older friend (relative? I guess I might be in the New York mob) who died in California back in 2005. I've been listening to this one today, because to be honest, I'm starting to feel really old from the chaos and civil war riots I've lived through too. I've been interested in gaining an understanding of the Bible, off and on in my life when I wasn't just trying to stay pain old alive, but it's getting to be where I really can't ignore the part about the final judgement after this life anymore and kid myself that I'm just a (serious sarcasm) really serious deep state deep historian anymore.
What I like best about this song is the devotional prayer theme, and the example to follow. The recording itself I like for the clarity of the singer's voices, and the definition the melody exhibits as the singers bring it into the foreground by leaving out instermunts.
